love your channel and its very educational. i think the most important is to enjoy your swimming and keep in great shape. its different mind game and training if your competing or just swimming at your local pool, beach etc to live a healthy lifestyle. i don't tumble turn but find if in a line next to others that do the tumble turn / flip turn i manage to keep the same distance off the wall because i can get a good kick off the wall. however i am also not racing people and the people in the next lane are not Olympic swimming (most of them).
i just try improve style as swimming is like an Art. not fast and never have been because of my body type, i sink in a pool, but in the ocean / sea its better because i float more.
Question Fares, you look great shape and obviously super fast, do you float or sink in pool water? can you be too leaned out (Rock climber body type) or is there a perfect body type / body fat ratio for swimmers? i always prefer a 50m pool over a 25m pool, as i don't flip turn i prefer long distance sessions at happy medium pace. and Ocean swimming.

I thought it was the opposite. 😢. In theory, underwater I'll have more resistance of the water, while swimming over, your body is half out. I'm confuse now. Btw thanks for the explanation and amazing video.

The streamline reduces drag significantly and also when you swim above water you have the splash from everyone else working as resistance against you

Great analysis. (not sure about the sound in this vid, the music is pretty jarring, in my view)

I have my first LCM ever, now I am a newer swimmer because I’ve only done it for 2 years (To me that’s not a lot in my opinion). This was really helpful so, thank you! Also, do you have any more tips for the tempo? Should you go half way easy, and then half way fast for a long course?

Some really good swimmers have lousy underwater and flips, so they do worth in short course and prefer long one 🤷‍♀️
