I used a Helikon Tex EDC side bag during my road trip in Namibia this year. Whenever I left the car the bag was on me and I can say just good things about it. Sturdy, well made and its small size was just perfect for the way I used it (storing documents, wallet, cellphone, water bottle, pocket knife, tool, sunglasses, gloves, small torch, boobies hat and a shemagh). The clothing is also good and offers a lot for the prize range.

@@BushCampingTools Clothes from Helikon that I used during that trip were the Woodman Shirt as a light bush jacket which is one very comfy and robust jacket, I can only recommend it. For warmth I used the wolfhound jacket without hood (we were there during southern African winter time and it got really cold during the nights and in the early morning). It fits underneath the Woodman shirt, so that I had warm layer. It can be stored in small bag, weighs only about 450 grams, so a lot less than a fleece jacket and it dries really quick. The urban tactical pants completed the outfit together with long sleeved Kiwi shirts from Craghoppers. This combo worked fine for me.

Good info. I had a cheap backpack for airline travel, which lasted several years. Then my zipper broke on top, and the clothes spilled out. A young couple hollered at me, I turned, and there were my spare socks, drawers etc. across the floor of Denver International Airport (DIA). (Always carry extra clothes, especially overseas flights, as your bags may not make it). I should have watched your backpack videos. You are right: you get what you pay for. Ha.

Hi there, no but I wear like breathable thermals or shirts made from coolmax material and this really helps with any backpack.

Do you like this company, too? All of parts of my body are covered with their items. It gets cold so their wears keep me alive. The winter of Japan has began. How about the United States?

I'm not in the USA but I have indeed lived and worked in japan and know how bitterly cold it can get during winter.
