ngl "dreamers" fits disney more than "ladies and gentlemen/boys and girls" cause disney's whole theme is wishing upon stars, dreaming, hopefulness, magic and stuff. and its more cute too!
It's so frustrating to me how flippant she is about calling it diabolical... Jesus said to love your neighbor even if they're different from you! You don't have to like it, but the least you can do is show some respect and leave people be. Whether or not you believe someone chooses to be gay, there are people in the LGBT+ community who are literally born intersex, a biological happenstance that they had 0 control over. It makes me so sad to see them constantly left out of the conversation regarding transgender issues. And that they believe somehow these children or parents or even Disney itself is somehow pushing a "gay agenda" is absolutely mind boggling. These people have no idea what a lack of representation means.
Literally. No one goes "single men and women, married men and women, men and women with children"... There are gender neutral terms for a reason, it's so easy to use them!
@@Chlo255 Correction, men and women with *boys and girls* . How dare you refer to children with a gender-neutral term! /s In all seriousness though, it’s so much easier to just say “people, parents, children”, etc. Like it could be a group of only girls, only boys, boys and girls, only enbies, or people of all genders, and it’s still relevant! It isn’t woke, it’s just a term that is faster, easier, and always works.
The only complaint i have is that they should call them whatever is in relation to the nearest ride. IE "haunters" if theyre near the tower of terror or smthn
it reminds me of when people tweet about how upset they are about people using they them pronouns cause it’s bad grammar, but then they use “they” to refer to the people who promote usage of inclusive pronouns
My mind is constantly blown by these conservatives saying people get offended by everything these days and then go on to make such a big deal out of the most trivial things.
Conservatives claim everyone is in their business when really it’s them who is is *literally everyone’s* business. Between banning books and state mandating pregnancy and birth… it’s all them, lol. They’re the ones who foam at the mouth for the most minute, ridiculous things.
I love how, somehow, according to people like this, trans kids are a result of some kind of societal/parental pressure to be trans, yet I'm a teenager in a slavic country with transphobic parents and I still somehow turned out to be trans. The way you raise your kids doesn't affect their identity, but it does affect their well-being and happiness.
I saw a post on one of OT's videos, and I think it made an interesting point. It said (paraphrasing here because I can't find the original post) that if knowing about gay people can make a straight person turn gay, then straightness is really fragile if thats all it takes. Especially when compared to gay people who have hetero culture pushed on them from a young age and yet STILL stay gay, regardless of their exposure to straight people.
I completely agree with you. I can see how people like this can say that its a result of parental stuff, since from what I've seen, being able to express yourself and accept yourself is very heavily relied on the people that you are surrounded with. I'm not saying that someone who is surrounded by transphobes isnt trans, but I'm saying that it's much more difficult for someone like that to express as themselves, so people like this dont see them that way.
she is definitely not a great person and pretty conservative, but she always seems to get more conservative and make fun of "woke stuff" with her husband. there are times he is complaining about leftist and she doesn't really seem to think it's that big of a deal but when he asks what she thinks she kinda seems she is trying to "match his energy"
@maruguida8056 yeah she's clearly not winning any personality awards anytime soon but I actually feel pretty horrible for her. She seems to kind of hate her husband while feeling like she's stuck with him. I can't remember if it's this video but they had one where they talked about their relationship and there was a horrible bit where he basically said she should have sex with him even if she doesn't feel like it whenever he's horny and she admitted to ignoring him if he was 'in the mood'. I may not like her but I pity her much more, he seems utterly vile
@@squashbanana3894 yeah I absolutely agree with you. the relationship seems super toxic and it feels like she believes her only option is staying with him. I hope she can leave him and maybe that can help her become a better person, she seemed to be slightly more compassionate and less conservative before knowing him, abusive partners influence negatively their victims and their personalities. obviously not trying to say she is completely free from responsibility for her actions, but I can't help but sympathize with her
Disneyland is labeled the place where “dreams come true”, using dreamers is just them being on brand, the fact that they didn’t do this decades ago is the upsetting fact.
Former cast member here! I left the company in 2019 before the "woke Disney" movement and here is my two sense about everything: 1) the fireworks said dreamers. "it was ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and dreamers of all ages" all the mouse did was shorten it 2) my trainers encouraged us to use terms for kids that were neutral because you never know if the boy is a boy with long hair. They said use your eyes and call the kid by what you see. Princess dress = princess, starwars shirt = jedi or when in doubt call them "friend" because everyone is Mickey's friend at Disney. I have had little girls get sassy with me if I called them princess because they were actually a super hero and so I mainly stuck to friend unless they were in costume because why would I want to upset a child at Disney. end of the day it boggles my mind how people get upset over calling kids thing other than prince and princess when Disney owns half of all media so kids have the chance to be anything when they are at the most magical place on earth. It doesn't effect your life so why should it matter to you?
As a cast member, I will say the “training” that I received on referring to guests in a gender neutral light was one of my coordinators walking up to me and saying, “try saying ‘hi friends’ when greetings guests”. I already refrained from using gendered terms just because I am non-binary myself...Disney really did not say anything to me in food and beverage
I’m crying and throwing up because they think a kid got pressured into transness but they don’t question their parents’ religious influence on themselves.☠️☠️☠️
These people never think about cis people that don’t always get read correctly. They’re too busy being afraid of others caring about each other more 🤦🏻♀️
@@sourgreendolly7685 I think they are so bought into their idea of gender norms that insulting cis people who don't conform to gender norms strictly enough by calling them boy/girl (whichever one they think you aren't) is acceptable and good actually. Shame you for not conforming well enough to their standards of behavior.
Ah yes, Disney who cancelled the LGBTQIA+ themed characters in the newer/newest movies and who’ve been racist and sexist since the beginning of their/it’s career, is woke ;D

Dude, genuinely I fucking love that their changing the “princess” thing. Words cannot describe how much I fucking hate being called princess, even back when I still identified as a girl.
Same. I'm a cis girl and my dad used to call me that. He's abusive so it felt so fake. A corporation doing it while they pick your pocket is almost as bad
As a Christian and an ex-cast member, this is great from a company standpoint! I’ve accidentally misgendered kids before… and the kids don’t care at all, but the parents get *so* ticked. I got a complaint because I called a girl ‘buddy’. Getting in the tempo of not assuming is a great practice in hospitality.
Kids can be pretty hard to gender properly, imo, they all kind of look like genderless blobs to me. Is that child wearing a t-shirt and overalls a short-haired girl or a long-haired boy? Does it even matter? Nah, not to me, I want to stay away from them regardless lol. I have heard of parents correcting pronoun usage for _fetuses_ though. Like, why does it matter? its not even born yet! And then they get mad at us for pushing "transgenderism" on kids, as if they aren't pushing "cisgenderism" on them.
@@SilverDragonJay yes exactly. this couple is so offended that disney is “pushing agenda” by assuming cisgender as the norm when it’s just another construct that we have been convinced/taught that it’s just how things are…THEYRE the ones with the cis agenda
I would argue that calling people “dreamers,” is actually directly affecting people. It’s helping more people feel included and preventing the accidental misgendering of humans. Which makes the outrage even more insane. “I’m pissed off because someone else gets to be included!” Grow up and find something real to complain about. Disney doesn’t want anything to do with these people anyway.
Yeah when she’s like “I’m sorry- but that’s ridiculous” I was like, first, you’re not sorry, but second are you serious? Are you not a dreamer? Does that not apply to literally everyone?

Besides the “oh no they’re making our kids gender fluid” concern it’s still a good idea for Disney staff to say dreamers instead of boys n girls because not only are they being gender inclusive they’re being age inclusive because there are many adults that regularly go to the park. No grown women wants to be called a girl same with man and being called boy. So this the attendees know the guide is talking to everyone not just the kids. Last point it’s very on brand and just makes sense.
Before it was changed the speech opened with “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” now it opens with “dreamers of all ages.” I’m sure they always included adults as much as they did kids it’s just they they’re now including gender neutral ppls
i love this. i kinda hate the trash that “disney adults” get tossed on them for loving the magic and the park itself. they never stop to consider that those of us that enjoy these “juvenile” things may have their reasons. even if they don’t, it’s not anyones concern 🤷🏼
It's so funny to me that if my mom said "I have a bisexual child and a nonbinary pansexual child," Paul's mind would explode lmao. "Oh no! These children are being pressured by society to be LGBT!!" Like come on, dude. My dad is homophobic, and I never learned about anything LGBT until middle school. When my sister came out as bi, it was my first time realizing that was an option. When I first realized that I'm similar to that, I was considering also telling my parents until my dad said that her being bi was a fad. I waited until 4 years later to come out because I was scared of my dad thinking that my sister evilly influenced me to the queer side. But in reality, I have liked anyone regardless of gender since before I could remember. Apparently I would get in trouble at school in kindergarten because I was kissing boys and girls at Catholic school. I don't remember that at all and I wasn't even told that until last year. The idea that kids are queer because of societal influence is so ridiculous to me. Kids come out as queer because they learn about others like them and the labels that fit them.
I can’t tell you how precious Mulan was to me when I was a small child, it was a life changing feeling even though I didn’t know why at the time. I want all kids to be able to see parts of themselves in characters on screen, it’s so important even if it seems like a small inconsequential thing to others.
I had to sit back in my chair, like is he fr. A movie in which a woman presents as male to protect her family? A movie in which Shang and Mulan develop romantic chemistry even before Shang finds out Mulan is a woman? Okay.
Honestly I bet if Disney had started off with the "dreamers" thing in the beginning, NOBODY would care because it's not a big deal to the people who are complaining about it😭
@@toadymallow the point is that they're mad specifically because of the gender inclusivity - otherwise they wouldn't care because it doesn't change their experience at the parks. this isn't a matter of enjoying disney's services, it's another just another conservative talking point.

True, what the hell is their business? Like, it's literally not inconveniencing them in the slightest, either. Gosh, a person? Never heard THAT before! Pfft, no sex? How dare you push that onto our children- wait.
They're cancelling it because they like more episodic shows and Owl House isn't like that. Owl House not being like that is really one of the main reasons I like the show, and honestly I can't say that the queerness had *no* effect on it, but it's not the main reason
Ughhh, exactly. TwT I was sad for like a week after finding out that it's gonna get cancelled. It sucks SO MUCH cuz Luz and Amity are the first queer couple who are *openly* girlfriends. 🖕 Disney

Yeah, there's always going to be clueless people in the world who cling to their comfortable bubble lands where nothing is questioned or challenged. But, at least we can challenge them (well until we're blocked from their TikTok channels). But, it is easier to let them know that the whole world doesn't think the way they do.
Yeah and Morgan was very progressive before meeting Paul. She is a very good singer too. I just feel sad looking at their content because it feels so passive aggressive and like a facade on wants really going on.
Disney calling the people that consume their media “dreamers” just makes it shorter to address them, instead of “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” it’s better for them commercially, because it’s more convenient
I went to Disney World in March of this year. A few cast members asked my youngest their preferred pronouns and that made them so happy. The people that like this minor change are not as vocal as the people that hate it.
That warms my heart so much 🥹 This is why this stuff is important! It has no real effect on the bigots, but the people it does effect are deeply touched by it.
It made me feel so bad as a kid when adults misgendered me. It also made me uncomfortable when they got it right. Turns out I’m non-binary and that’s why every version of gender made me feel wrong. This smaller (now closed) theme park near us approached gender differently. You could choose “princess/prince/knight/etc” ticket tags when entering the park. They were colour-coded and the staff knew those colours by heart. I loved going there because character staff wouldn’t call me boy, princess or anything of the sort. It was “good day, brave Dragon Flyer!” What Disney decided on now was a massive source of happiness and confirmation of my identity as a child. In that park I felt so comfortable and didn’t know why until many years later. Best of love to you and yours! Warmth and acceptance makes our lives worth living. 🌸

I have a 9-year-old kiddo who is currently identifying with they/them pronouns and I hear the whole "kids have enough to worry about don't add gender into the mix" shit all the time. I agree that kids have enough to worry about, so why add forcing a gender identity on to them? Someone's gender matters to them and others shouldn't be so huffy about it. Put that energy into feeding the homeless or something, the hell.
There have been conservatives making "Disney is too woke" hot takes since they slightly relaxed their appearance requirements for Cast Members a few years ago.
Oh my gooooodddd. I’ve heard this too much, because a person in my house loves to say this all the time. “I don’t like Disney because they’re too woke.” It’s just getting so repetitive. Disney isn’t woke, they only changed this one thing but there’s still so much shitty stuff happening. So this argument makes no sense.
I'm honestly surprised that they didn't come up with proprietary like dreamers before because they call their employees cast members already whether you're a character actor or you are a custodian
@@msjkramey I noticed they used "pal" as a gender neutral identifier in one of the mobile games and I think, on the Disney Jr. shows. my family went to disney literally last week and i never even paid attention to how they never said “boys and girls.” most of them said “friends” or something related to the ride they were working or character they were playing so it wasn’t really even noticeable edit: a few examples were like tiana calling kids tadpoles, which i thought was pretty cute honestly, the workers on space mountain saying “space travelers,” mulan saying warriors, jack sparrow saying pirates, and storm troopers calling everyone with resistance merch “rebel scum”
Conservatives are always calling liberals "lib-tards" and "snowflakes", but no liberals are making videos about how Disney parks have said "ladies and gentlemen" for decades. Yet conservatives shit their pants if Disney starts saying "Hello Dreamers". Essentially, they have no chill, and yet are always accusing libs of having no chill. Like, slow your roll, calm your boring minds. No one is hurting you, stop crying.
It's 100% projection. They're the only ones who are "allowed" to be mad about something, even if said thing harms literally no one and no marginalized person actually asked for it. For them the worst thing in the world is to be slightly inconvenienced, and just thinking about oppression in any way shape or form is "inconvenient" to them.
I used to teach swim lessons at a YMCA (Young Men's CHRISTIAN Association) and they also taught us in training to say things like "hi swimmers!" instead of "hi guys and girls," which was totally valid. It also helped the kids feel confident that they were indeed swimmers, since many were nervous.
crazy thing is if disney hadnt made an official announcement with the explanation, they wouldnt even notice the change. also how tf can you be upset that they call you dreamers? it sounds so cute
A lot of people make points with kids are impressionable they don't even grasp certain concepts that's fair enough but they also don't naturally grasp religious doctrine or fascist doctrine or communist doctrine etc
my favorite thing about this is that cast members got this training last summer (and same for the fireworks announcement change), but for some reason people have only been throwing a fit about it over the last few months. its obvious no one actually cared until it turned into a way to get views
My FIL claims he is boycotting Disney forever because in the Incredibles 2 apparently the mom is working and the dad is staying home. What’s even funnier is my husband says when he was a kid there was a time that his mom worked and his dad stayed home. You can’t reason with some people.

Glad you're here with us! ♥️ I feel you, in the sense that I used to watch Blaire White, Ben Shapiro, Paul Joseph Watson when I was younger, cause I was in my edgy atheist phase and thought that gave me a right to shit on other people's livelihoods and identities.
Similar thing happened to me with Shoe0nhead, ArmouredSkeptic, No Bullshit, Kalvin Garrah and the like. I'm lucky I didn't fall deep, I don't even know how I could've accepted myself.
They absolutely are. People like these guys accuse LGBT+ people of being "groomers", and say that their kids are being indoctrinated with the "gay agenda". They're batshit insane.
I think as a binary gendered person it's easy to underestimate how something small like an announcement can make a big difference. Once I hosted a trivia night at our school I said "boys and girls" instinctively but then I remembered to add "And all our non-binairy friends in the audience". Afterwards two non-binairy students told me they had never been included in an announcement like that. Yeah, when Disney does something liek that, it's mostly just getting that sweet press, but the act itself is still important I think.
I like this too because maybe a little girl doesn't want to be princess. And maybe a little boy does. And maybe I, a 24 year old man, want these people to stop trying to control everything and let kids be whatever 😂
I would have been pissed when someone called me a princess. I always wanted to be an adventurer. The princesses were not very active in the older movies, they kinda just were pushed around by circumstances.
Boycotts work if they’re massive enough and organized enough to cut into the bottom line. But most corporations are so massive, it’s almost impossible to boycott them. Like, I hate Nestle and try very hard not to buy from them, but just one person is probably not very successful
last year my grandma mentioned being horrified that people weren’t saying “girls and boys” or “ladies and gentlemen” anymore so i stood up for myself and disagreed with her. she hasnt spoken to me since :D
Honestly, I find it lovely that they say "dreamers of all ages", it literally applies to everyone.. whoever is bothered by this should do some self reflection.. "they are kids"- another Christian being worried that child gets to be who they are without brainwashing from the church, poor chuld 😂
@Real Ray wouldn’t it be ok to say he since those are that specific person’s pronouns? The point of the change is to not assume everyone in the whole crowd adheres by gender norms when you don’t know that info and to broaden the welcome.
They call them little dreamers now? That's actually adorable and I love it and as a Disney adult a fully endorse this change. The concept of dreams is what makes me like the original messaging of the parks.

I think its hilarious that these people believe any cis gendered young child that goes to Disney will hear a staff member call them a "Dreamer" and immediately decide they're non binary/genderfluid. very few kids know what these terms are anyway, because they don't need to. no small child hears the word dreamer and thinks anything of it. these two have a huge amount of confidence in the critical thinking/ speech analysis skills of literal toddlers. all this change will do is potentially help some trans kids feel less excluded or confused when they should be nothing but happy. when will these idiots get a grip.
Universal been doing this for years for example they have a quiet room for people who have sensory overloads and also is pro LGBTQ+ and no one complaining about them idk I find it weird.
I think its because disney kinda own a lot of companies and franchises. True, Universal is big and well known but they don't a lot of stuff like disney does, which is why Disney usually gets easily targeted or noticed.
If I was a Disney adult I wouldn’t wanna hear “boys and girls” anyway. if anything it makes it more inclusive to adults by being more inclusive to everyone with taking away “ladies and gentlemen” as well it’s literally nothing to be mad about lmfao

I agree. I have to be gendered in almost every other aspect of my life, it does matter that a company with that much influence over popular culture is choosing to make changes. A general policy of not referring to people based on gender might benefit everyone in the long run. "What if I don't know to say Hello sir or hello ma'am??" Uh how about you just say "hello"

I'm glad that lots of cis-het people don't care about this change or go "cool" and move on but as a trans person this makes me really happy. Before I knew I was trans, I was so confused about why disney employees calling me "princess" as a kid made me so uncomfortable and that feeling sucked. I would've loved being called "dreamer" or "friend" or whatever wasn't a feminine word as a kid. I'm glad trans kids who love disney won't feel uncomfortable and confused at being called prince or princess like I did.
I think the issue is that for most people, that’s it. And they’ll defend fucking Disney and call that activism or politics. Then it just plays into what you consume is your politics and morals and it all gets blended together into culture war bullshit, and nothing actually changes. And those people are marks. Rubes. Probably see Lockheed-Martin and PNC Bank rainbow floats as a sign of “progress” and not what they actually are. Like, do y’all understand how close we all are to this completely falling apart? I saw a post on one of OT's videos, and I think it made an interesting point.

I didn't even know "Ladies and gentlemen; boys and girls" was a Disney thing before this. It's such a general and generic statement.
Former cast member here! I left the company in 2019 before the "woke Disney" movement and here is my two sense about everything:
1) the fireworks said dreamers. "it was ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and dreamers of all ages" all the mouse did was shorten it
2) my trainers encouraged us to use terms for kids that were neutral because you never know if the boy is a boy with long hair.

Kids come out as queer because they learn about others like them and the labels that fit them.
the fact mulan was one of his favorite disney movies is way too funny for this situation .. like has he seen it?

It's 100% projection. They're the only ones who are "allowed" to be mad about something, even if said thing harms literally no one and no marginalized person actually asked for it. For them the worst thing in the world is to be slightly inconvenienced, and just thinking about oppression in any way shape or form is "inconvenient" to them.

Ok I did some digging, Karey Burke has 5 kids ranging from ages 15-25 so they are DEFINITELY old enough to explore gender and sexuality
Not only that, but 60% of her children are cishet? This just sounds like a normal group of Gen Z'ers with a good mother.
@@brandonm949 why is the “60%” part funny to me. like every kid is 40% lgbtq from head to chest but from diaphragm to foot they’re straight
Yea dreamers sounds nice. But “cashcows” would be more close to reality 🤭
The reason I'm upset about this is becuase Disney is doing this for morality points when Disney is so very homophobic
My FIL claims he is boycotting Disney forever because in the Incredibles 2 apparently the mom is working and the dad is staying home. What’s even funnier is my husband says when he was a kid there was a time that his mom worked and his dad stayed home. You can’t reason with some people.
The thing is the dad isn’t a stay at home…he only did it for a little while. Like it is not that deep
She has tattoos….that’s a sin for really strict Christian’s isn’t it? They’re so hypocritical lmao
I remember seeing a video about them where they more or less address that by saying Morgan had a sinful past, or something of the sort.
@@mechanomics2649 yeah and then she met Paul and got “saved” (indoctrinated)

i used to watch paul and morgan and believed everything they said. along with other youtubers like girl defined, sadie robertson, and even the transformed wife. thankfully i'm out of that and i'm much happier now. i'm very grateful that people speak up against them, because if i didn't have that then i would probably still hold those beliefs
Yikes. I’m glad you changed your mind. Transformed wife has some terrible takes on consent.
i’m genuinely proud of you for actually changing your mind after educated about the topics, thankyou 🌻👏🏻

LOL i died at that part 😭😭😭
how dare disney call me a DREAMER!!!!!!!😤😠😡🤬
And maybe I, a 24 year old man, want these people to stop trying to control everything and let kids be whatever 😂
period!!! ❤️💯
Very well put!
I, as a cis boy, would definitely rather be a princess than a prince
I would have been pissed when someone called me a princess. I always wanted to be an adventurer. The princesses were not very active in the older movies, they kinda just were pushed around by circumstances.
Boycotts work if they’re massive enough and organized enough to cut into the bottom line. But most corporations are so massive, it’s almost impossible to boycott them. Like, I hate Nestle and try very hard not to buy from them, but just one person is probably not very successful
Not to mention if you do get enough people, a protest or strike arguably changes more.
they tend to own so many brands, its nearly impossible, but helping smaller brands will make a difference to them at least
she sounds so intoxicated is she okay

@Real Ray sorry, just noticed what I did there, my bad.. I corrected it.. English is not my first language so I get confused easily...
But we must think of the children!! (/s)
@Real Ray wouldn’t it be ok to say he since those are that specific person’s pronouns? The point of the change is to not assume everyone in the whole crowd adheres by gender norms when you don’t know that info and to broaden the welcome.
The thing is Disney is a greedy corporation so their politics whether its liberal or conservative doesn't make them better or worse
@@leahflower9924 I agree with you, but it's still nice to see these things little changes, it means a lot to people 😊

this!!! i don’t know if nick meant it in a bad way but it felt weird when he said no one is affected by this. i think it’s true that technically disney does not care but it is affecting certain individuals and children who are non binary or non gender conforming in a positive way because it is more inclusive and that is great.

Morgan is just Paul's idea of the "perfect wife". The one who doesn't speak unless spoken to, or given permission to speak, one who agrees with everything his pathetic ass has to say, she doesn't have an opinion of her own, I mean when she just made a joke about him not being able to rip the shirt off and you can see how offended he got. She is his Yes Man.

Yes I am an avid watcher of Mr Atheist
Lol I first thought he was doing this video.
YOOO I LOVE MR ATHEIST
didnt mr atheist get caught grooming fans or smthn?? idk
I think its hilarious that these people believe any cis gendered young child that goes to Disney will hear a staff member call them a "Dreamer" and immediately decide they're non binary/genderfluid. very few kids know what these terms are anyway, because they don't need to. no small child hears the word dreamer and thinks anything of it. these two have a huge amount of confidence in the critical thinking/ speech analysis skills of literal toddlers. all this change will do is potentially help some trans kids feel less excluded or confused when they should be nothing but happy. when will these idiots get a grip.
no fr it’s actually ridiculous and so infuriating
It’s my first time seeing these people and what strikes me the most is the couple power dynamic they have
Universal been doing this for years for example they have a quiet room for people who have sensory overloads and also is pro LGBTQ+ and no one complaining about them idk I find it weird.
People like this just go from outrage to outrage, they don’t have any consistent principles or standards
I think its because disney kinda own a lot of companies and franchises. True, Universal is big and well known but they don't a lot of stuff like disney does, which is why Disney usually gets easily targeted or noticed.
you can tell that she looked up "very bad" in the thesourace before she filmed and discovered the word "diabolical" for the first time.
You mean thesaurus? (Sorry, if this was supposed to be a joke.)
My favorite part about their videos is how much she clearly doesn’t like him and how oblivious he always seems
If I was a Disney adult I wouldn’t wanna hear “boys and girls” anyway. if anything it makes it more inclusive to adults by being more inclusive to everyone with taking away “ladies and gentlemen” as well it’s literally nothing to be mad about lmfao
They're not very good at pretending to be mad at Disney, not convincing at all
I know right?? They literally can’t appear to care less. Meanwhile trans folk are dying because of the transphobia these jerks are almost too bored to even put into words
None of their videos are very convincing. Sometimes I think they're parodying Conservative Christians but honestly I suspect he's just awkward and she's his victim begging for someone to read 'SOS' in her excessive blinking.

I agree. I have to be gendered in almost every other aspect of my life, it does matter that a company with that much influence over popular culture is choosing to make changes.
Plus, it has to be better for the individuals working the parks. Imagine calling a child a "princess" and seeing the joy die in their eyes.

i will say nick, it does truly impact us whether they say boys and girls and what not, even if it is corporate garbage, it’s still taking a step to inclusivity, and helps progress. It’s validating to be able to be seen as something other than your genitalia.
A general policy of not referring to people based on gender might benefit everyone in the long run. "What if I don't know to say Hello sir or hello ma'am??" Uh how about you just say "hello"
It’s kinda hard for me because I like saying sir and ma’am and there’s no neutral version of those that I’m aware of lol but I don’t use either unless I know that the person is fine with that
@Random Username god “his/her” pisses me off so much, not only are you purposely ignoring a large majority of non-binary people but also you’re wasting space and my time having to read it lmao
@Random Username which tcgs have you seen do this out of curiosity? I can’t think of any cards with that in mtg at least, which tends to avoid using pronouns entirely at least in reference to players.
It feels like the equivalent of companies changing their logos to rainbow versions in June.
The group they’re targeting know better and actually get upset more than anything with virtue signaling corporate politics, whereas the anti-group is complaining about it as if it’s something demanded by the group.
It’s tiresome at best
Reminds me of when I saw an Old Navy ad some years ago that was just made to exploit LGBT+ people. Found some tiny reactionary channel SO mad and claiming they’re “pandering” to gay people. Bruh we hate it too, tf
Yes good point these corporations don't have souls Starbucks acts like they are ethical fine whatever I'm not impressed I'll take Dunkin donuts who doesn't pretend to be ethical at all lol
This just reminded me of when I used to go to church and my pastor would always preach about Disney being evil yet he and his family would take very expensive trips to Disney world every year lol
I was at Hot Topic the other day and overheard a mother and her child that identifies as her son talking and the mother disregarded them when they corrected her and it made me so sad. I didn’t want to be creepy so I didn’t speak up but my heart broke for them.
I get so annoyed when people try to use the excuse that “they’re just kids” as a way to cover their homophobia. - like bro I’ve known I had the feelings “normal” people have for men for women since I was five and my best friend held my hand everyday
Especially when, like these guys, they're Christian.
"They're just kids", is them implying there aren't kids that are gay..... apperantley
I have yet to see a video of this couple where the wife doesn’t look like she hates the husband and would rather be anywhere but filming the video 😂
Think about it. I big corporation uses identity of marginalized people to make more money. Then that is used as fodder for these unhinged far right people and christofascists like we just saw try to attack an LGBTQIA group this weekend. And nothing changes. Really missing the forest for the trees here.
yes same! im fully aware they are simply doing this cus they think its gonna make them more money or improve the general public opinion of them or whatever but if it makes little kids that are so excited to be there already and looking forward to it so much feel welcome and comfortable? it's still a great thing and it makes me so happy even though it is absolutely corporate bullshit and they do not actually care. lol.
@@m1zumisaki I found that lots of my coworkers at Disney also identify with gender inclusive language so even if the company may just be "doing it for show" please know this is something the cast members are so excited to implement!!!
