I took notes from this teaching and sent the video to a friend. However, where is the scripture confirming the 500 followers in Matt 28? I've read many times about the 120 who waited for the promise, but can't find where they started with 500 anywhere... Can you send this to Pastor McDowell to answer please?

9 Heart Postures to Position Yourself for an Encounter with God - William McDowell
1. Waiting (internal focus - we are in God's Presence)
2. Desperation (Blind Bartimaeus)
3. Crying (Jacob wept before The Lord - Genesis 32, Hosea 12). You can either have your deliverance or dignity. Be willing to be vulnerable before God. We are not going to have a tearless move of God.
4. Prayer (the language of faith, pray what you believe)
5. Worship (create an atmosphere that invites the presence of God and God invites us into His Presence). Lifestyle of constant communion with God.
6. Deliberate action (woman with the issue of blood)
7. Faith (helps us endure future promises, present)
8. Obedience (critical - faith, worship are connected to obedience). Obedience is not an action, it is a lifestyle.
9. Repentance (it is an invitation from God to right living so that we can be with God). Repentance reconnects our hearts back to God's Heart.

There is nothing so refreshing as weeping in God's presence, pain goes away, depression, reassurance comes, healing, etc.
You can say that again,the only time I cry is when am worshipping and praising Jesus,it comes out naturally,normally nothing gets me weeping except stuff that concerns jesus.

Finally, a pastor who is not talking about money 💰 and how to make big purchases thru Christ (house,, car, etc) when speaking on Jesus. He’s not sounding like a life coach “ like some pastors” he’s not trying to be like the young people fitting in with them or creating worldly “gospel” music to attract them (rap gospel- what is that?) or speaking like them to draw them, or wearing clothes like them to look cool like them. It’s about Jesus and the spirit of God which will draw all man “young and old”. To God be the Glory!! 🙏🏾
I concur with you this is what we need in today's church the body of Christ is really weeping and writhing in pain....
Pastor McDowell, when I first received the Lord and my deliverance from a quart of Canadian Whiskey a day I was so changed and touched by God as an adult man that all I could do for the first two years was weep when I would come into the church and feel the Lord's presence and love for me. One women told me that she would intentionally sit in a pew where she could watch me worship. However a new pastor began to let me know that it wasn't a good thing when we had guests in the church especially if they were notable in town. It became a problem and I began to feel that I was immature and needed to stabilize my emotions so I asked the Lord to take the weeping away. He did but I know it grieved the Holy Spirit and I went through a long period where the cloud of glory I had on my life lifted. I won't do that again. Blessings brother....
Oh my Brother, so sorry to hear that you had to heed to that request from the kingdom of darkness and it's a pity the instruction came from a supposedly servant of God. But sadly that's what many churches have became today - human empires rather than God's church - Follow the Holy Spirit Alone. God bless you.
Dear Brother, After more than 30years of following and walking with the LORD and being filled with the Holy Spirit, I still can't stop weeping in God's Presence when I am spending time with Him. My overwhelming love for Him and His for me, brings me on my knees in worship and gratitude tears each time. And I can't help it, and I can't stop it because at that moment it's the Holy Spirit who takes over, worshiping God through my spirit with deep groanings and lots of tears. I absolutely enjoy this time With the LORD. Very soul satisfying. Even in my dreams, I have seen myself worship God in this deep intimacy form and then waking up with new Scripture Songs I was singing to Him as I worshipped Him in my dream. So you go with the Holy Spirit and Scripture Brother, and not with man made instructions.

Same senerio for me though slightly different, I cry a lot when I'm in his presence because the love of God overwhelms me and all I can do is cry. I literally feel it sit on me like a warm cloud but that still doesn't describe it. Later, I realized that some people in my church were judging me wrong, thinking I cry out of guilt or condemnation. So, I got so conscious until I asked God to take away the tears, also I would try to keep my emotions in check during church until I realized something had shifted, my intimacy with God. It was a sad moment cor me, I went back and repented, I actually asked him to give me back my tears. It's part of my worship, adoration, and love language to God.
@@bngugi70 that's very encouraging brother. The amazing thing is it makes you love everybody and yet you become as bold as a lion. I've written several very anointed poems and songs in His presence too. One only took minutes. Thank God He loves and forgives us in our confusion. Blessings man...
Ive never been in an atmosphere more saturated with the presence of God than at Deeper Fellowship. Never left the building with mascara still on 😭

When you come face to face with the awesomeness of God there are tears. Repentance is a gift. My pastor says sin is anything that hinders God. Search my heart, oh Lord. Reveal to me anything in me that is getting in the way of your work in my life.

I found bowing down in worship is important too. I began doing it and after a while came across a word where FATHER pointed out that followers of other religions bow to their gods but HIS own children dont which grieves Him
God speaks to me through dreams that come to pass, I see people and I can tell things about them, I sing with Angels, been to places I can only describe as heaven and hell. Jesus is real. This was helpful, sometimes I am too busy for God. I know it's wrong, hearing messages like this leads me. I find it hard to find anyone who understands the supernatural or knows my experiences. Since fining Sid Roth life has been easier for me re my ministry and purpose. Tank you.

Woo! Keep it real Brother William! Tears are a big deal. They’re a sign of surrender, humility, and voluntary exposure before the Lord (or should I say your REAL Dad.) Giving God your whole heart is gonna look like exposing your emotions and it can get messy. Those who hide their emotions still hoard fear of man and pride. Those that SHARE more with God privately and publicly will RECEIVE more to keep and to shower over others. Jesus cried. A lot. His followers cried and lived lives of full exposure. That takes risk, Godly strength, and full surrender.

Faith Kings God doesn't answer prayer based on your position when you pray, whether sitting or walking or kneeling, or whatever. The Bible doesn't teach that.
Amen .. all of it should be part of daily abiding in and worshipping God. It is pleasing in his sight. Easier said then done for those who struggle w faith or are lukewarm, our spirit first needs to be awakened to seek the kingdom!
