Thank you Robin for all the "little" tips. Now if I can just remember them. I should watch this again with a stitched card to do as you talk and stitch.
@Spellbinders Paper Arts • Robin: These stitched dies are also perfect for children to learn on. Perhaps you didn't have to do any sewing when you were a child, but if you did, you remember how floppy fabric is. So as you're struggling to learn stitches, you're also struggling with trying to maintain tension. This die takes that floppy element away. The diamond cover plate die would be great not just in your own family, but as a project at a birthday party, family get together, different youth groups like Sunday School, etc. I would live to see you do a collaberation with Rose World. She has some beautiful stitches, some simple, some challenging, but all beautiful. The ornament die is gorgeous. The metallic, glossy cardstock from the filigree die reminds many of us of the ornaments we saw in store displays while we budgetarily settled for plain round ones. Making these into ornaments would be a great gift for new home owners, who don't always have any extra 💰 for decorations. Thanks for your demonstration. I'm sure I would have crossed under holes if you hadn't been so clear on how and why to avoid it. Thanks! 👍
I just got my stitching dies today, my Christmas gift to myself and am really looking forward to starting on them. A really informative and great tutorial you have put together.😊
I have been doing cross stitch for many years, I really appreciate you reinforcing these basic tips to make your project look good. Excellent tutorial, thank you.
Yay Robin! How fun to see you on screen again! And lovely to have you teach us all your tips for a better make. Thank you so much. You look fab, by the way! 😍❤️

I do mostly paper crafting now, but what a treat to sneak in some embroidery!!

Loved this video! Thank you
This is a wonderful video. I was wondering if you could please do a video on how to sew in sead beads?!?
Hi Sharon- I have been playing with seed beads and it is tricky/ you really need teeny tiny (size 14 and 15) to attempt-
Super helpful tips!
The metallic thread link no longer works. What is it? You’re correct that the 6-ply metallic thread is so tricky so want to try this.
May I ask on the Merry Christmas at the end…is that thread stitched to form the letters or is that a hot foil piece using red foil? Thanks!
