Meghan also spent a lot of time on the set of "Married with Children", ostensibly a family show but with despicable values. I did not like to watch it as an adult and would definitely not expose a child to it.
What was a red flag for me from the start, when they were first dating, was that she made Harry put out a statement telling the media to stop harassing her because she was mixed race. Harrys' other girlfriends have also been harassed by the media but no statement was ever issued for them.
They did not want more attention. Walmart Wallis did, hence her employment of this "poor me, oh such a martyr, I want to be left alone" method. Phony as a $3 bill.
As litigious as H&M is it is notable how neither Tom nor Valentine were sued or even called out as fabricating anything. Even Scobie, their attack puppy was held at bay.
@@staceyvitale not successfully. He may have had some that tried, obviously no one royal. I certainly wouldn't want to take him on, he knows what he's doing.
Bower usually writes about powerful billionaire business men and politicians, who have things to hide. He's written about the then Prince Charles, who's supporters detested the book. But Bower just sets the facts out, and that's why no one has ever successfully sued him. MM is the first women he's written about, so Bower must have sensed something that set him looking into her.
I bet Meghan’s lawyers have scoured that book with a fine tooth comb, too bad there’s nothing they can do about it; because Tom Bowers is a better lawyer than they are 🤣🤣🤣
When parenting, at any moment, the hardest option is usually the best one. Giving in and indulging a child is easy in the moment. Standing your ground and being firm, but patient (not yelling) is the hardest option.
When her friend Nikki 'claims' Meghan wanted to be rich and famous that claim was refuted in the Netflix series when she went to her old school and in her yearbook it said "when I am rich and famous...…." so it proves that was always on her mind and that Tom Bower's book is very accurate.
@@cestmoi5687 yes. She means that Meghan tried to refute that claim in the Netflix doc, but the Proof of what Nikki has said was in her yearbook. So the pathological liar /megalomaniac was caught in yet another Lie ...
What a sad life , when all you want out of life is to be rich and famous! When all you did is use people and throw them away on your way up ! Now that she made it , I wonder if it’s all cracked up to what she wanted, or is she still miserable and lonely with no family and friends!!!
@@carolynsmart3337 She's even MORE miserable and lonely now.... But still in a Delusion that THIS is what she wants.... She is not capable of Real Love so needs Adoration from the public.
@@morticiag it’s really sad when you think about it , and didn’t just ruin her life but ruined someone’s else’s life . I truly believe she’s mentally ill and needs major mental care and Harry too .
I don’t think everyone liked her from the beginning - I could see through her pretense all along. And I don’t think I’m alone in my dislike of her at the start.
To be honest, I didn’t really notice her at the time. I saw her clawing onto H during the engagement and thought she looked ‘innocent and demure’, very at odds to her actual age. I didn’t really care though, because I loved the Queen and Prince Philip, Charles (who I identified with through his love of organic gardening) and even Camilla, because she made Charles happy. Then they did OW interview and I began to notice the insults to our country and the RF and it’s gone downhill from then to the point where I now despise H&M and their constant insults and whining. I now just wish they’d go away and keep quiet
To tell you the truth I always like William. I am the oldest in my family like William. Catherine's birthday is one day before mine. I have Scottish roots so I loved that they met at St Andrew's.
In all honesty, being from the United States, it was my experience that most people didn't really care one way or the other. I had seen Suits and recognized her from the show when the news broke about them dating but my only thought was "Huh. An unknown actress is now dating one of the most famous people in the world. I give it a couple months." I was surprised when I heard news they were engaged and remained skeptical that they'd even make it to the altar. Not that I wished them ill I just didn't see what they possibly had in common.
pretty sure they don't want or ask for pity. Seems to me that they grew up into pretty decent people that have a connection to their dad that obviously meme did not have. Most of us have less than perfect families but we grow up, realize that parents are human and vulnerable. h never seemed to get that....growing up part I mean.
That's not true. And once you grow up and real8ze that parents are human, do the best they can, especially if they too were abused or had a bad example of parents. Me Markle did well considering where he came from. As parents we try to break the cycle for our children. Seems to me that his other children are good citizens. Decent people. Well done I say
Perhaps Thomas senior should be thankful that he has two children who speak to him. Maybe put effort into those relationships. As sure as he'll in their younger years, they definitely knew who dad's favourite child was. No one knows what goes on behind close doors. Even rumours are gossip. However, Thomas senior should now withdraw begging Meghan for contact. He has done what he can so many times. Now it's time to look after him and let Meghan go to him privately if she can. I think however, there would be pap shots of any meeting, obviously set up one most people know 🤔 JMTs
Hearing about Megan’s upbringing makes me wonder about her capacity as a mother now. It doesn’t bode well interesting to how she never discusses her children or dotes on them publicly.
Meghan's narcissism is apparent yet again in how she "relates" to her kids. I have a narc parent, so I speak from experience. Narcissists don't view their kids as actual people, we are objects, living dolls, props even. We are merely part of the "image" the narc projects to the world in public, but at home, we are ignored. I really fear for how much rage those kids are going to have towards both Haz and Megs when they are older because the emotional abuse, the see-saw of being adored one moment and then the Devil's spawn the next is truly damaging. It takes a lot to survive that. And that's my experience with just one disordered parent. The Harkle kids have 2 highly disordered parents.
I feel that you either have the mom gene or you don't. After watching the way that Megs holds a child, it is apparent to me that she categorically belongs in the DON'T have the mom gene.
I don’t understand why anyone would think Doria was Meghan’s nanny. She looked like her mother as a child and black Afro hair. She looks white now but didn’t as a child
Harry complains so much about Camilla painting her as a villain who married his dad , how is this different from Doria who was only a few years older than Tom's kids. She was as much a villain 😂
Gotta say , I have bi racial children and each time I was pregnant my family , husband and I use to sit and discuss what color we think my baby will be . But it wasn’t racist at all it was more out of excitement and wonder ! That’s what makes me so mad that Meghan would twist it as a racist statement when it’s not it’s natural and human instinct to be curious what the baby would look like before I meet my baby
@@cheeredenise exactly there’s nothing wrong with being curious as long as it’s not from a racist or hateful place . Even Chris rock made a comment about it , says even black people wonder what skin color their baby will have, I thought it was normal human instinct to be curious until Meghan made it sound like it would be a problem if the baby was dark , which I doubt that’s how the conversation went . She is a pathological liar after all 🤷🏻♀️
I think Oprah totally fed into H with her "What?" Reaction. Oprah doesn't have kids and never married. I think her perspective is different that's all. And I used to really like Oprah.

That was a crass and venal choice on her part motivated by politics and greed. She wanted to make the interview popular and controversial rather than truthful. Shame on her! I have no respect for her now.
Its amazing tho that it is his first kids that are taking care of him and supporting him in his illness. Amazing how that turns out. The superstar child treats him like crap yet the other 2 that meme told him to disown, are doing the right thing by their father - taking care of him at his most vulnerable.
I can only guess that's for 2 reasons. 1) On some level they are still seeking validation from him and 2) They have realized he was an awful parent but since they are not awful people they are following their consciences.
@@tearsong8744 no. Normal human adults evolve, grow up, and realize that parents are human too. I could have been bitter, made bad choices (and did) but I have the ability to think inwardly and realize that my parents did the best they could. Same with Mr Markles kids. They grew up and ultimately helped their dad because he was good, he did the best he could with the tools he had. Meme wanted him to cancel his kids or he couldn't go to her wedding....his words. He chose the love of his kids over fame of walking a daughter down the most televised event of our time
@@heatherbishop9260 1st and foremost you shouldn't speak as if your OPINION is FACT; unless you know the people involved and or were involved you are only speculating as to what happened. 2nd you and I clearly have vastly different ideas of what parents who are doing the best they can look like. The information provided in this video which is what I am basing my OPINION off of is that Thomas Markle Sr. allowed his wife to do drugs in front of his children (which I'm sure didn't help Tom Jr.'s drug problem), allowed a river of shady people in and out of his home potentially endangering his children, and hung up pornographic images on his walls, all the while being an absentee parent because he was also a workaholic. That's not my idea of a parent who did "his best" and honestly it's kind of sad if that sounds to you like a parent who did his best. You are right that parents are human and make mistakes but from the information provided it seems to me like Thomas Markle was a bad father, and while one might have sympathy for any hardships in his life it doesn't change the fact that he wasn't a good parent. Also I wholeheartedly disagree with your characterization that the wife and the spare's wedding was "the most televised event of our time." How exactly did you come to that conclusion when it's been widely reported that Prince William and Katherine's wedding had a larger audience who tuned in to watch. Also I would hazard a guess that King Charles' coronation coming up in a few short weeks will draw in more views then the spare's wedding.
@wynn1587 In regards to Samantha yes she does have her own health problems and that's why she gave up custody of her children to their paternal grandparents. She made the difficult choice as a mother to do what was best for her children. As to Thomas Markle Sr. I have already stated that I don't think he is/was a good parent. I think his spoiling of Meghan was potentially to try and make up for that fact. That is just speculation on my part however.
I picked up on inauthenticy from the engagement interview. The way she spoke and lack of nerves. I didn't dislike her. I was neutral and wished them well. Lack of nerves is odd. Being nervous shows respect and desire to do well, it's shows self-awareness.
You’ll find that despite all the unpleasant revelations, Bower does acknowledge her seldom decent acts. I think he really tried to offer a balanced view… although as you will discover, that ultimately was hard to do.
I and my neighbors got up for the wedding in the US. It was some time around 3 am. It was kind of hurtful when she said that was all for show and she got married three days before. I did think how rude. I guess that was a lie.
I thought during the engagement interview Meghan came off fake, which gave me a bad feeling. I had hoped she would be a good person and prove me wrong. Bowers' account of Meghan"s family doesn't sound liberated to me. These are some of the most immoral people I have heard about in a long time. Thanks Cheere for the review, this is newi nformation for me. Also, you look for the good in people. I admire that.
What a huge relief this book is, after the confusing mess of Spare. I am glad that Tom Bower is starting this book off fleshing out the 'truth' of Meghan's childhood, and so far seems to be very fair in his depiction of events, not trying to just paint her as a horrible person from birth. Instead he is painting a picture that will, I'm assuming, show us the trajectory of Meghan's life and how she got from point A to point Z.
I agree. The RF might not be able to comment but they have a huge body of folks who are more than willing to tell the truth for them (and us!). How Harry ignores all of it amazes me!
MM is a Classic Narcissist......she lovebombed EVERYONE , the fairytale was all made up in our minds unfortunately 😪 We all believed she was this Perfect Princess in the making.... after the Marriage then the Mask dropped real quick😨 There was red flags though even in the Engagement Interview.....the Conversation about Archies Skin Colour was between Princess Anne and Harry and it was apparently no big deal at the time.....then Harry told MM and she turned it into a Racism story😪

I saw a recent interview given with Thomas Markle and he was not bitter atall about Doria. He said she was very attractive and still is. He seems like a very nice man. Strange Meghan chose her mother over him. She was very lucky to have him.
Yay! I actually read Revenge a couple of months ago, but am looking forward to drinking my coffee and listening to your comments about it. I'm not from the UK, but I really liked Harry's Wife in the beginning. Until she showed her real face. My mother is a narcissist so I know how successful they can be deceiving you that they are so wonderful. Thank you Cheere! ☕
Really interesting observation about the "skin color conversations" during Doria's pregnancy. Later Bower will tell what the "race conversation" was that offended Meghan so much, and it didn't actually involve skin color. So your idea that she is embellishing from her own past is probably spot on.
I always felt her nanny story was weird. Why would someone in California who thought Doria was the nanny ask where her mom was. If there was a nanny I would assume she was at work ….
Such a ridiculous story because Meghan had hair like her mother, she was just lighter skinned. Meghan made it sound as if it happened all the time. She embellishes constantly like saying she worked at a yogurt shop when she was 13. Guarantee she helped a friend for one day who was working there.
MM is a liar. I have a friend that grew up in her area in LA and she’s told me that back in the day, that area was very diverse place with many people of differences ethnicities all together. Interracial relationships were very common and it was usual to see biracial kids and families. My friend doubts that anyone looked at them differently. She definitely threw in the race card to justify her narrative. She’s a liar and a very insecure of her black heritage knowing that she passed as Caucasian growing up.
MY ALARM BELLS went off during the engagement interview. Being Australian we didn’t have the coverage here as elsewhere- certainly not a media she had control of. Our media openly LAUGHED at them ON SCREEN regularly BEFORE everyone else. I didn’t know WHY the hairs on the back of my neck stand up but I knew something wasn’t right.
When I saw the picture of Doria at the wedding I thought she looked like a lovely woman. After I saw her speak and her body language while speaking, I got a really bad feeling about her.
In the Netflix doc…omg. That is a terrible woman. She only said a few sentences but her body language, tone, spoke volumes. ‘That’s what’s going down the pike…’
As if it matters, Doria is said to have been living with a woman for years, in the house she stold from her father. These are old stories, but interesting no the less, as to where THAT WOMAN, really learned her game. ?!!.
Funny how doria is actually the more problematic parent, but since she's compliant with meghan and puts on an angelic face, she stays in the good books
Twice I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants listening to her interpretation of Harry’s whiny voice…and I rarely laugh out loud at anything. Priceless.
I have read Revenge and intended to reread it, but your review is so much better, interspersed with your opinions and pleasant persona, clear diction, and touch of quirky humour. I'm pleased Tom Bower has written this book with his prior legal and investigative author credentials. It's a factual account and facts are what we cannot rely on media outlets or PR firms to provide.
So glad at last to come across you, you're really adept at telling the "story" without overly interjecting yourself into it. A little of your own thoughts cool, of course thanks 👍
Thank you, Cheere Denise, for reading to us REVENGE - I did buy the book when it first came out but then I found I could not bring myself to read it having heard snippets about it on RUclips, so I decided I would get too upset to sleep as late evening is the only time at my disposal to read! Much better you reading it to us! I must say as a Sussex Resident when I first heard H and M had become Duke and Duchess of Sussex how happy and excited I was! I watched their wedding at least three times, I loved it and could see the warm welcome Meghan had received. I loved their Engagement Interview as thought she was wonderful and pleased to see my fav Prince, Harry had found a lovely wife and was happy! I look back and wonder how I could have been so naive! Now I am trying to get their titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex removed having written to my MP and signed Lady C’s Petition. I hate having them being Duke and Duchess of Sussex as you can gather!!
@noorgonzalez1076 wuuuut?? Don't think so. More the reality is this: Proverbs 21:9 - 'Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. ' And Proverbs 21:19 - 'Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife. It's like more like proverbs 21: 9 and 19😂
What an eye-opening chapter. I really like your take on this chapter. I am so happy to see a review from an intellectual lens as opposed to the gossipy lens I have heard it being reviewed or judged. The Duchess of Privacy and Harold wanted to gaslight us all along by telling us how badly the British people were treating them and dramatically saying "I wasn't thrown to the wolves, I was fed to the wolves" (Duchess Difficult, 2022). We were all fooled by her and her puppet. This shows that there are different versions of the truth, Harold's truth, duchess difficult's truth and The truth offered so intelligently by Tom Bowers.
How nice to hear real information presented in a logical, well written way. I'm glad you reviewed Spare first, then Revenge. Now we can see what a collasal failure Harry was as a storyteller. Keep up the good work, Denise!
I’m intrigued that Doria was so interested/invested in her step son getting a better education experience; seemed she looked out for him, was kind of a “protector”. More interesting because she’s not known to be very “motherly”, especially in those days. I wonder why she connected so with him.
So excited about this book! I do wonder if because she heard the skin color remark as a child she asked Harry if his family mentioned the same thing and he gave an off the cuff, “now that you mention it, they did make a joke” or something, not realizing Meghan would use that as ammo later.
Main problem spoiling Meghan. Genetics and spoiling her. Created Frankenstein. Seriously people don't do it. My parents did it to my brother. They paid his child support. Even though he had a full time job and was married, yet complained behind his back that he did not pay child support. Every time he has an emergency he runs to mommy and dad for money. He is 52yrs old. Who does that sound like? BTW... He is on his 4th marriage. My parent crippled him basically. When we were growing up he was never made to do chores because he was my mother's favorite. I had to do all of the chores. Do not do this to your kids.
“Please take care of him for us”. That is a great quote! Harry has no appreciation for how BIG a favor Prince Philip did for Harry when he convinced him to walk behind Diana’s casket. We (the public) overlooked a lot of bad behavior because we wanted the best for that “poor” little boy.
I’m so excited, bring on Revenge 🙌🏻 I’m so happy you didn’t have a break between Spare and then starting Revenge, I panicked when the Epilogue video ended, I feared that you’d take a break between books, I need my story time with Cheere, it’s my favourite time, haha, no, seriously, it actually is, I absolutely love your channel sweetie, thank you so, so much 💖💖💖
Oh my WORD I cannot wait to hear the rest of this book!! It’s already miles ahead of whatever Harry was trying to do. We love to get all the “context and interpersonal relationships” as Mama would say😂
At the halfway point of spare I was dreading the end of the book as I was having fun watching you rip it apart. But Then God, I was sick of it by the last couple of chapters , and frankly I'm glad it's over . This has got off to a good start and I'm looking forward to more videos . Although I will miss your prince Harry impression
Thank you for doing this & look forward to the rest. One thing you said about Waagh, that it made you think you were going crazy. Narsassist turn things around to make you feel like that and that's why I think TW wrote much of the book.
I wish my step father was just a workaholic, working for the family’s benefit. Mine was an alcoholic and worked to drink and attack the family. Thomas sounds like a really good guy.
I still don't hate her, I don't hate people I do not like her manipulation and her disrespect to her father even though he has something to do with who she is now. Her disrespect to a family she has marry into is deplorable even though her husband allowed that.
Good observation about how hard the family situation must have been for Samantha and Tom jr. And both of them are the ones looking after their father. Meghan is long gone.
@@dianaroach3093 maybe at the beginning there was a lot to remember but I tend to agree that it’s merciful to assume her protocol ignorance on the day she would be introduced as the fiancé of a prince. Someone would have explained what was expected of her.
You are my hero for reading Bowers book after Spare. 1st chapter eye opening big time. I always said Tom & Doria created Meghan then ppl like Markus Anderson fine tuned her. I figured her seductiveness came from her upbringing because in all her photo shoots she takes seductive poses which mean it comes naturally!
She mentioned shopping at Victoria’s Secret when she was twelve! I was still in cotton panties, 10 to a package! Maybe she saw that from being on ‘Married With Children’, what the actresses talked about.
Doria is a typical Narcissist. Also drug user. Drug dealer! Wow! What an example as a mother! Meghan did not get the mothering she needed. What makes it worse is that she is an extrovert. Plus she was out in Hollywood. I had parents, grandparents and great grandparents that were narcissists but I was an introvert. My mother did not smoke pot or cheat on my father and we lived in the conservative south. I wanted to be the opposite of my parents. That is what saved me. I am also an empath. I also decided not to have children. One of the reasons why was because my father emotionally, physically and sexually abused me. The cycle stopped with me. I swear Narcissistic Personality Disorder is Genetic. My brother has it. I also see signs of it in my niece. People need to not have children with these toxic people.
Thanks for taking on another book and sharing with us. It’s interesting to look back on how we felt about mm in the early days. I had no interest one way or the other. I remember after they moved to US that I noticed on utube various titles with negative connotations towards mm. At first I decided not to look at them thinking it was just sensationalising and didn’t want to go into that gutter. Eventually I couldn’t ignore the stories and became educated on who she is. I don’t think I am the only one that sees the truth now. Here in Australia the tv media openly discusses her bad behaviour regularly I think it is reaching a point now that everyone knows she is toxic. The book Revenge presents the cold hard facts that no one can deny. 💎🙏💕🐨
Very interesting. It gives an insight into how/why H feels protective over MM and how she’s encouraged that. To be honest, I don’t know what happened except that she was welcomed and included in the UK and the RF initially but it was her behaviour that made people turn against her. I find it amazing that she now claims to be such a humanitarian and has such power through being rewarded for her behaviour. I think she must be amazed herself, looking back over her life, but she seems to believe she’s entitled to it all, she believes her own publicity
This is fascinating; I am so glad you are following Spare with Bower’s book. I am very interested because I have not read it. Right off the bat I find the explanation of Meghan’s home life very revealing. I had heard her background described as middle class or even upper middle class based on the salary Thomas made as a lighting director. Nothing could be further from the truth! Social class is based on cultural values rather than tax brackets. Meghan’s background was clearly lower middle class. She had none of the social training that she needed to enter the royal family. It’s not an impossible task but it requires humility which she also did not have. She felt that she could reinvent herself rather than being tutored in custom and tradition.
Respectfully disagree. She went to some of the most expensive private schools in the area, was hanging around celebrities on tv show sets and wanted for nothing, i.e.s she was spoiled rotten. She would have learned social decorum accordingly from her exposure and education in these areas. That is hardly the upbringing of someone "clearly lower middle class". That was the case for Thomas Jr. and Samantha, but not for Meghan after she was older than a toddler.
@@alanamileras2329 One’s cultural background is set early by one’s parents. Meghan was exposed to girls who came from different backgrounds in the schools she attended but the basic ways of learning social graces and one’s place in the scheme of things is not learned at school, it is learned in the family at home. Celebrities are not the poster children for upper class behavior, nor is being spoiled a hallmark of upper middle class children (the opposite actually). Those venues you named do not teach traditional social graces or what is expected as obligatory behavior. I worked as a bridal consultant for almost 40 years and I saw over and over again that young people learn their sense of decorum from their parents, that the upper middle and middle class are most likely to follow traditional forms and the young people raised without social graces think they can just make it all up, in other words “have it their way”. Reminds me of Meghan.
@@alanamileras2329 I think she is referring to the 'lower middle class' in regards to behavior, etiquette, and social class - not money (money can't buy you class). Thomas has stated he was never a good housekeeper and from photos of them at the house it doesn't appear that they had any kind of nice furniture or that it was well-kempt.
I don’t think that’s why she didn’t want her family around. Both her exhusband and Harry made the statement that they were going to give Meghan “family she never had” which surprised her family because they did have family. Even Doria expressed surprise when Trevor said it. I think she didn’t want her self made, did it all on her own, no family charade exposed by having any family around. Doria is willing to say anything Meghan wants her to say. I don’t think Doria’s family or the Markles are as willing to lie. She started cutting her dad off before she met Harry.
A pasty ginger coworker married a girl who was 3/4 Korean and 1/4 Mexican. all THEY could wonder was what color and features their baby would have.(answer: the coolest, strangest shade of black-red hair I've ever seen, very asian shaped eyes but icy blue.....)
Oooh, Joan Didian. One for the future maybe? I’ve watched several reviews of Revenge and I’m very much looking forward to yours. I ve learned something from every version & love your insights. I refused EVERYTHING Spare me.
Wow. I learned more about Meghan in this one chapter than I did about Harry in the entire ‘ Spare Me’ folk tale. Crazy. This is going to be an interesting book review.
The press was so positive about Meghan in the early days, that I felt awful that I had taken an instant dislike to her. I thought that it must be because she was American and I must have some sort of anti-American prejudice (they has suggested that there might be some due to the Wallace Simpson scandal). That's not actually the case, but that was how the mainstream media made me feel.
I love your point about Tom giving you the evidence but allowing you to come to your own conclusion. I wonder if this is because of his legal background. What was so powerful in Camille Vasquez' approach with amber vs Johnny was exactly that. She laid all the breadcrumbs but allowed the observer and jury to join the dots. Show don't tell
The fact of the matter is: H “ light is on upstairs, but it’s empty, no substances” & he’s still a 12-13 of age, needing a mother as his wife 😱😱( manipulated woman) Just so sad & sorry for those children with these shameless / LiARS parents!

I thought it might be some added chapters but didn’t see that. So I will reread the whole book which I don’t mind since I thought it was excellent. My mistake trying to read the piece of junk Spare book after Revenge.
The ones about Doria I believe come out in a month or two....the Harkles are dim you attack BRF and proven liers then makes you wonder more about them what they are hiding what is going on with your family..something odd ..no family or friends to be with Doria...they had a agenda
I was born and raised in California and my mother had red hair and blue eyes and I am dark skinned and people thought I was her steps child but I thought it a novelty as a child growing up.
I hold on to the memories of those early months and pull them out to those critisizing the onslaught of unfair negativity aimed at her. We were all so happy for them, and it seemed like she was the real article. Beautiful, experienced in life which would be a good match for Harry.

I just love your videos-and so glad we are into Tom Bowers book. I feel like we all (including you) got more facts and and info in this first short video than we did sis in the entirely of Spare Me The Never Ending Made Up Details. ❤
I have listened to a couple of channels read and review ‘Revenge’. I believe the content is true and reliable. Markle’s craven, selfish, profoundly immature behaviour made me literally wince.
I haven't read this book, so I'm looking forward to reading along. I've heard about it, and it's very apparent that the Arthur Tom Bower is highly respected & doesn't try to put thoughts in your head but tell facts and let the reader come to their own conclusions. So excited about hearing facts, not just blame after blame as it was in Spare...
I love that you are reading the books in reverse . I didn’t read Spare… thanks to you a d I didn’t read Funding Freedom but I did read Lady C’s book, Revenge and Courtiers. My takeaway was still the same!!
Dynamics in Family life and upbringing of Children are very hard. My oldest Daughter was so loved by everybody she turned into a selfish bitch and a narcissistic woman, she is now 50 and now and again I have to reign her in and thankfully I can do that and things will be good for a couple of years but her siblings cannot put up with her attitude. My oldest Son was just the sweetest person ever and he would help anybody. My middle Daughter was argumentative but loyal and loving. My youngest Daughter went through a few terrible years as a teenager due to her dad, yet she turned her life around and is the most laid back human being and awesome Mother to her 3 children ( whose dad died when he was in his thirties, they never really knew him yet all 3 children have their own personalities and are devoted to their Mum. All I can say is I wish I had a mum like her) my youngest Son bless him always fell in love with the wrong women.his wife destroyed him, we picked up the heartache of his destroyed life and yes it took about 6years before he found his role in life and he is now in a happy and stable relationship the biggest loss was his children, my Grandchildren that his narcissistic wife deprived us of. Family Dynamics only become an issue if we cannot all pull together to help each other. Sorry for the rant but Family should always come First.
Thanks for starting another book. I Feel like I gained a witty, insightful entertaining new friend. You don’t have to take it personally or change our “friendship relationship” if I want to support you. Open the tip tab 😉
Totally agree with you about old style writing as I am currently reading Lady Colin Campbells books that she did in the 90's about the Royal marriages and The Diana ones and her sources are all mentioned like Tom Bowers brilliant book they have real confirmed sources ..They are not biased accounts and are not "allegedly " just a brilliant full picture ..
I never got her modern princess vibe, she seemed fake and phony from the start. I didn’t like H either.
Notice that they have not sued over this book. These people that sued if you look too hard at them. The silence is deafening.
Because their stories are watertight
Scabby is not a puppy. Puppies are cute, and reasonable, and they are able to learn and they have a sense of humour.
What makes Tom Bowers unique is he is a lawyer as well so he knows how to write plainly and without fear!
And he brings facts…they haven’t sued him yet have they? 😂
Tom Bower exclaimed 'you should have seen what I couldn't put in the book'!
I bet Meghan’s lawyers have scoured that book with a fine tooth comb, too bad there’s nothing they can do about it; because Tom Bowers is a better lawyer than they are 🤣🤣🤣
Lesson from this chapter: don’t spoil your children. It’s usually a selfish act anyway, and nothing good will come of it.
When parenting, at any moment, the hardest option is usually the best one. Giving in and indulging a child is easy in the moment. Standing your ground and being firm, but patient (not yelling) is the hardest option.
Thomas Markle - a generous but rubbish father that failed to say NO
When her friend Nikki 'claims' Meghan wanted to be rich and famous that claim was refuted in the Netflix series when she went to her old school and in her yearbook it said "when I am rich and famous...…." so it proves that was always on her mind and that Tom Bower's book is very accurate.
Do you mean the claim was *proven*?
There was just something …. Idk … off about her? I felt it. Like she’s not genuine. At all. Weird. Untrustworthy.
Somehow I knew right from the start that she was a total opportunist.
I have red hair. People were the same when I was pregnant.... "Ooh, I wonder what colour hair the baby will have....?"
My husband has red hair too… Everyone speculated to me about the baby’s hair color.
I feel sorry for Samantha and Tom Jr having such a dysfunctional family who really weren’t there for them
pretty sure they don't want or ask for pity.
When doria went to bat for Tom jr made me like her a little.
@@sidneybales9062 true
Unless she talks about blue blue eyes
I feel that you either have the mom gene or you don't. After watching the way that Megs holds a child, it is apparent to me that she categorically belongs in the DON'T have the mom gene.
I was thinking the same thing, I felt like she’s quite awkward
I have always felt sorry for their children... Harry is not much of a dad either
I don’t understand why anyone would think Doria was Meghan’s nanny. She looked like her mother as a child and black Afro hair. She looks white now but didn’t as a child
If you look at Megain's childhood photos, she does look biracial. So I call baloney on Doria's nanny story.
So true!
Such a good point!!! I love your perspective! It’s not bad either way so what’s the harm in having the discussion?
@@marylyn3081 she’s another sell out , I guarantee they created the whole script together . And I’m sure that’s why Tyler Perry let them stay in his mansion because he is best friends with Oprah . I have zero respect for her
@@Cristina_504 I agree with you. I was horrified by the Oprah interview not only for what H&M said but also for Oprah’s collusion in a false narrative purely for sensationalism. That was a crass and venal choice on her part motivated by politics and greed. She wanted to make the interview popular and controversial rather than truthful. Shame on her! I have no respect for her now.
So the conversation of how dark the baby would be,…. Came straight from her mommie dearest
Bower is also an accomplished barrister, so everything in the book is watertight, legally.
And yay! Glad you’re starting a new book!
You’ll find that despite all the unpleasant revelations, Bower does acknowledge her seldom decent acts. I think he really tried to offer a balanced view… although as you will discover, that ultimately was hard to do.
A lot of us grew up in dysfunctional families.
I and my neighbors got up for the wedding in the US. It was some time around 3 am. It was kind of hurtful when she said that was all for show and she got married three days before. I did think how rude. I guess that was a lie.
The getting married three days earlier is definitely a lie.
A graceless lie.
An appalling lie that the Archbishop of Canterbury quickly put paid to. The Church of England doesn't work that way.
"Point z" how appropriate as she is a z luster 🤣
I agree. The RF might not be able to comment but they have a huge body of folks who are more than willing to tell the truth for them (and us!). How Harry ignores all of it amazes me!

I took an acting class in L.A. The teacher said a coomon trait amongst people attracted to acting is abandonment.
It was true for me; glad I got out of it and went to therapy instead.
This is what I like about Tom Bower, too. He's not afraid to make explicit statements and he brings receipts.
Wow appearances are so deceptive ,I remember Doris at the wedding she looked so shy and timid , and it turns out she's a free loving hippie
Doria herself is biracial all the way back to the turn of the last century.

I read Lady C's book but it was published a couple of years ago. She reviewed Revenge and said Bower did a good job.
I am sat in my conservatory in England listening to your commentary. Your broadcasts are much appreciated.
The problem was she treated it all like "Tinseltown". Fame and stardom
Great first chapter. I can see where the roots of Meghan's narcissism started. Also, Tom Markle didn't seem to have very good taste in wives. 🙂
So excited about this book! I do wonder if because she heard the skin color remark as a child she asked Harry if his family mentioned the same thing and he gave an off the cuff, “now that you mention it, they did make a joke” or something, not realizing Meghan would use that as ammo later.
I'm laughing at this because.. I was the nanny for my Brother and SIL.. 6 boys out to dinner and they thought we were Married!!
100% agree!
😮 wow
“Please take care of him for us”. That is a great quote! Harry has no appreciation for how BIG a favor Prince Philip did for Harry when he convinced him to walk behind Diana’s casket. We (the public) overlooked a lot of bad behavior because we wanted the best for that “poor” little boy.
I’m so excited, bring on Revenge 🙌🏻

At first I decided not to look at them thinking it was just sensationalising and didn’t want to go into that gutter.
Eventually I couldn’t ignore the stories and became educated on who she is. I don’t think I am the only one that sees the truth now. Here in Australia the tv media openly discusses her bad behaviour regularly
I think it is reaching a point now that everyone knows she is toxic.
I bet Samantha changed Rachel’s diapers, fed her, and took care of her.
if she was very young Meghan wouldn't remember (only child remark) but Sam would
Oooh, Joan Didian. One for the future maybe?
I’ve watched several reviews of Revenge and I’m very much looking forward to yours.
I ve learned something from every version & love your insights.
I refused EVERYTHING Spare me.
I think we need multiple reviews a day! 😂 they make being at work so much better
Wow. I learned more about Meghan in this one chapter than I did about Harry in the entire ‘ Spare Me’ folk tale. Crazy. This is going to be an interesting book review.
Ok I’ve been cross-crossing…here we go with #1! You keep me coming back. 😊
I love TB as unlike certain people he does have receipts 😅
I love your point about Tom giving you the evidence but allowing you to come to your own conclusion. I wonder if this is because of his legal background. What was so powerful in Camille Vasquez' approach with amber vs Johnny was exactly that. She laid all the breadcrumbs but allowed the observer and jury to join the dots. Show don't tell
I was given you site via speaking to someone else on Taz. I'm so grateful, you are so brilliant, honest and funny.
Palate cleanser😂😂…enjoy your reviews very much! We all questioned…clearly exposed to gaslighting!
What Meghan wants Meghan gets!
its stunning that tom jr was cast off education wise while meghan was cared for exceptionally, kind of mind boggling.
After growing up in the 70’s despite all its problems I sure do miss the saying it as it is. Great review by the way. Looking forward to more. x
Thanks for watching!
Quotation marks 😂
One thing that drives me crazy is run-on sentences. I'm sure H's book has several. 🙄
The fact of the matter is: H “ light is on upstairs, but it’s empty, no substances” & he’s still a 12-13 of age, needing a mother as his wife
😱😱( manipulated woman)
Just so sad & sorry for those children with these shameless / LiARS parents!
I must tell you; I came late to your hilarious party and caught maybe the last 10. I enjoyed you so much I thought sod it (yes I'm English) I'll start at the beginning and enjoy the whole ride so here I am. You deserve way more viewers and I hope they grow rapidly.
You are so beautifully sarcastic and scathing, squee!I l love it.
Loved Revenge! Well written! So different than Spare. I read the hardcover of Revenge and just bought the paperback which is supposed to have added content.
Thank you Cheere Denise 👍😊
Bless you. I do not think that I could sit through reading, an audio or a reveiw of "Spare"
I had already read "Traitor King: The Scandalous Exile of the Duke & Duchess of Windsor" (by Andrew Lownie, published 2022) when
I watched your review. Frankly, I was amazed at how indignant you were about the Windsor's.
I suppose that I have read enough history and studied enough historical events that nothing any royal, noble, politician or very successful banker/businessman would do to obtain the prize would amaze me. (I am retired history teacher and junior college instructor)
Most historical figures appear to have studied, or have in some other way absorbed the lessons of, "The Prince" by Niccolò Machiavelli
(published 1513 and 1532 -- in print) The really deadly ones appear to have become acquainted with the lessons within "The Art of War"
by SunTzu (5th century BCE/BC)
[ *Yes, Cheere Denise, dates matter, because dates allow you to have a timeline of comparative events.* Obviously the DoW
was prodded to learn dates but he could not go to the next level of understand the correlation of events to build the entire
mosaic of history within his head. Rote-learning of dates is not that difficult. So, I include dates and other (what some would
consider pedantic) information in my comments because most people nowadays do not have a good grasp of history. Also,
I am old and I have the time to do so!]
40 videos! It appears that a review of Tom Bower's "Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsor's" (pub. 2022)
is going to be a bit of a slog. Well, here I go ......😁
*Humboldt County, CA .... There's a red flag! A lot of sketchy stuff has happened there!*
Hello, just found you today 😊.Thank you very much!!
