- Hey guys welcome to my channel. If you have seen the video on my other channel XxFOREVERFAITHxX then you know that I have moved most of my furry content here. I will still post furry stuff over there but this channel will be for WIPS, tutorials, and other projects I work on.
This video is a refurbishment of a fursuit that I made about a year ago. This was the first commisiion I ever took so this character holds a special place in my heart. The owner could not longer take care of Connor they offered him to me. I redesigned him a bit and got to work. This is not a tutorial video but rather watch along video with a few tips along the way. Give you a bit of a sneak peak to how I do my work. Hope you enjoy the video!

FINALLY, a maker who doesn't condone using whip stitches when sewing up faux fur. Seriously, I see it all the time and can say from experience that you should avoid that loose, flimsy, stitch at all costs.
Blanket stitch is the way to go 💪
Hell yeah! Your stuff is just going to fall apart if you use a whip stitch.
i use back stitch
I really don't understand any application for a whip stitch... it can easily be replaced with a ladder stitch or blanket stitch which are both better in their own ways. If you're sewing from the inside/backing, use a blanket stitch, it's strong and neat. If you're sewing from the outside, use a ladder stitch, it's invisible. Why is the whip stitch so common??? Just because it's so simple?

Failyn, this shows the ridiculous amount of work you put into every suit. You’re talented and dedicated to persevering through each project. Connor is so so so adorable and I didn’t realize how much work that took. Amazing job and I somehow have even MORE respect for you and your work haha 💙💙

Watching tear downs for refurbs always scares me a little because i hate to think of all the work that went into the original project being pulled off, but i also know its for a better version of the character. Im glad you have this boy back and that he came home to a good place.
I was going through Pinterest and saw this video, right as I saw "RK800" in it I couldn't help myself. Good to see there are still D:BH fans out there, even after two (nearly three) years.

I am not a furry myself, but the sheer level of craftsmanship viewed here is astounding. I am truly amazed by the amount of time and patience that is required. I guess as a cosplayer myself, I used to ‘frown upon’ the furry stereotype. But after seeing this, I have a newfound appreciation. Excellent work with a beautiful and clean finish. The fleece/felt smoothing out sculpted areas is a really good idea! I will have to try this at some point, I have a hard time cutting foam smoothly

God, that looks like so much hard work but also so much fun in the "this is what I love doing and I love putting in the effort to do it right" kind of way.
Also, while I understand exactly why you would have use for them and how much easier they make things, the face that you use electric dog grooming clippers on a costume of a fake dog tickles me.

You did great work on the suit, you did great explaining each point, you play good music, and you watch game and film theory. I can't count the times I've done that. 😅 I'm still working on my first fursuit head but I'm nearly done. I'll be so happy to finish it after nearly a year of working on it off and on. I'm taking a break to do more research on things I haven't done yet.
