Coffee With My Sunshine I would love to see more fall DIY’s since that is the season coming up. Love 🧡 your cement pumpkins!! They are so cute!!! Thank you sooo much for sharing!!!
@@coffeewithmysunshine2506 You can tell us. Did you find something living underneath that camper or in it and you just can't go near it right now? Is it a skunk?🏃🐊🐍 They didn't have a skunk emoji. So I put down what we in Florida find hanging around our houses.
These are all very cute and a clever use of the materials! I love the quirky and unique look of the square one and the texture on the one with the sock. For the candle holder one, I’ve seen other videos where people use small cups (Dixie cups would work great) with rocks or something in it to weight it down to leave a hole in the top.
LOve the pumpkins!! I'm up to see what kind of things you would make for summer decor. But also ready for ideas for fall. Not ready for Halloween quite yet.
Really cute. I think all 3 pumpkins came out great. All real pumpkins have some imperfections in them so any imperfections in concrete ones just adds character to them. You did a great job! Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida🌴😎💙😎🌴
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love love love those pumpkins. I would have never thought about using concrete to make them. You never disappoint with your DIYS. My heart was in my throat when you were chiseling the hole, I was like please don't break, please don't break, LOL
😄😄😄 omg me too I was nervous it would break and I was soo patient and let it dry all the way this time lol. Thank you so much for always being so sweet and supportive 💖 Have a great evening, Lisa!!
I would really like to see more fall videos now. These pumpkins are adorable. I am going to do this with the kids I babysit. Thank you for your wonderful ideas!
This would be a fun project with kids. Great idea! Thanks so much for the video input. It really helps me out to hear what everyone would like to see. Thank you! Have a wonderful evening:)
Hello!! So I made these!! I have a few questions, how on earth did you get the sock off?? 😂😂 my sock is STUCK ON! Did you put something in between? I did get the Quikrete but mine has rocks in it, it’s not so smooth, though you can’t exactly tell that much when my pumpkins were done.. Though my pumpkins came out ADORABLE! I followed your instructions to the T! The only thing is my dang sock won’t come off 😂😂 Also I did make some plaster of Paris pumpkins, I did quite a bit of research on those. I found some pumpkin ice cube trays at dollar tree & poured the plaster in the trays, of course they came out 1/2 pumpkins (they only take about 30-45 minutes to set, but I left them overnight) & hot glue doesn’t hold them together 😝 which I just found out! I used E-6000 to glue the 2 halves together. Then to fill them in because they had some gaps I took a combo of light weight spackling & caulk f/dollar tree (make sure you have a cup of water to use with the caulk - trust me it will make your life easier!) You could use one or the other, I would probably use the caulk if I had to choose bcs you can smooth it out with the water and I prefer how it files down once it dries, also I think it blends perfectly with the plaster. Then I painted the pumpkins with my chalk paint! They are little pumpkins! They turned out so cute! You could also make larger ones, the idea is to have a mold, and the great thing is the plaster dries fast & is easy to file, I used a nail file on my little pumpkins. On a different project I used a small dremmel, though this is definitely not required. What I liked about using my small dremmel (I have 2 - a small one & a larger one that has several speeds) is with the sanding drum I was able to get into small spaces and shape it. Ok I have rambled on enough! I need to make a blog so I can upload pictures! Lol thank you!!
Oh wow! These are amazing!! I LOVE THESE!! The stem that is off center makes it look more natural! We have a pumpkin farm/patch not far from us, so much fun! One of the things I love about living in the Pacific NorthWest is the different climates we have! I live in a very rural area & about an hour away is the coast! This fall or Christmas my boyfriend and I are going to take a trip to a town called Leavenworth, it’s in Northern Washington. I can’t explain it, I wouldn’t do it justice! But I’m very excited! Last fall I saw pumpkins that looked like they had warts all over them, did anyone else have those where they live? My neighbors who have the large pumpkin patch said it’s been a big hit especially since the fairy & gnome gardens took off. The pumpkins truly looked interesting, like something that would be in a witch’s garden! I haven’t watched your video from last year, but could you make these pumpkins with plaster of Paris? Just curious because that’s something I have an abundance of! If not this is absolutely something I’m doing this year! I love this! Thank you for sharing, always love your creativity!
That sounds like a really cool place to visit. I've seen those types of pumpkins and gourds online, but not in person. They sound so interesting. That would be fun to tey and track some down to put on the front porch this fall🍂🎃. I'm not sure if this would work with plaster of paris, but if you give it a try will you let me know. I've actually never worked with that before. Is it pretty easy to use? You have me wanting to try it now 😄. Thank you so much❤❤❤
Coffee With My Sunshine I’m so sorry, I went to reply to your comment & feel asleep, the last day I’ve had a horrible migraine! I’m so sorry! I have Lupus & Fibromyalgia & some days it gets the best of me. Anyways last year was the first time I saw those pumpkins, usually (or so it seems) we see “trends” a year later than everyone else 😂 but it could be that we have so many farms in this area too, we have SO MANY pumpkin patches around here. I actually started using plaster of Paris for experimenting with different mediums with some of my art, the only thing I don’t like about it is it dries REALLY FAST. Generally in about 30 minutes. There are different ways you can make that last a little longer but you have to work fast, so I always recommend to plan out exactly how & what you’re doing. It’s a fun consistency & it’s not dangerous but with any project I wouldn’t allow children alone with it. There is also another product called joint compound, my dad has a lot of this in his garage & I’ve seen other crafters use this for making outdoor items such as garden gnomes. I haven’t tried it, but that could also be another option & I heard it holds up well weather wise! I think I may try both & I will definitely let you know! I’m really excited about these pumpkins though I’m still not ready for fall these are just fantastic!
Super cute! And good recycling of old hose. I like that the hose leaves a texture. The Arteza paint looks really good. I kind of like the color change on the orange. Great DIYs!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻💙 Your kitty cat very pretty.
Thank you Mary!! I've been trying to use up single socks and came across the hose😁. It was the weirdest thing with that orange paint, but I liked it 😄. Have a great night!
Hi ❤ yay I'm glad you liked it! Fall is my favorite to decorate for, but summer is my favorite season. I wish we had a longer one here🌞. Thanks so much! Looking forward to your house tour😍❤
water your concrete pour water on it then you paint it well it's wet. because the water well seep into the concrete and create a barrier in the pores in the concrete. That way you're paint won't be sucked into the concrete. P David Jensen has a video call how to properly paint concrete statuary. and another one how to make your finish on your statuary last a long time he just came out with that one.
I've seen people use small, disposable, plastic sauce cups (you can buy in pkgs of 8 or 10 at DT) pressed into the wet concrete. Of course it has to be taped, tied, or weighted to keep it in place while it dries. You could even use the votive holder you plan to use (just coat with oil of some type to release easily). Also, concrete is easy to sand to reshape or smooth rough edges- please wear a mask so as not to breath in cement dust-it's very bad for your health. Love the pumpkins!

I’ve been wanting to ask you, since you got all of your arteza paints, if you could do a diy and use that hombre affect I think is what it’s called. I may have totally butchered the spelling lol, but I think it’s really pretty but idk what I would paint using it. I’m sure the possibilities are endless, my brain is probably just not working lol.
