Sounds good, I'll have to try the Porsche at some point 😉 The Porsche seems to naturally have really good mechanical grip, that means it can gain big chunks of time in the traction areas, ie. when you're exiting the slow corners and driving in the rain, it also seems more competitive on hard tyres than softs when the tyre grip hides some of the deficiencies of the other cars. Outside of the low speed BOP it's rarely the fastest leaderboard car but it feels perfect for ham-fisted controller oafs like me.
Haha the expert is here! It is a case it has such good grip the confidence it gives is amazing, really need to use it more for initial dailies I think 👀
I started with this car and now I have trouble using other gp3 cars purely from a confidence perspective. I don’t feel any other car can be pushed like this and exit speed really helps esp in tight circuits. I’m surprised I don’t see it more often in the daily races.
the car definitely breeds confidence. i too, have a hard time matching my Porsche times with other cars. i know where and when i can push it, whereas other cars... spin city
Love this car. The confidence it gives you is unparalleled, maybe only by Nissan GTR (oh! Do that one next please!). The longer the race, better. Less chance of making a mistake. If I get Mount Panorama in Daily Race C, I might do the qualifying lap in a Supra, but the actual race belongs to the 911 RSR.
I was never much of a Porsche GT3 user here and there maybe but we never got on much. But this month I used it in race for a Suzuka race on a controller and it was near perfect. Then I used it for the Spain Gold and it was still awesome. It just does what you want. As a driver that’s what you’re looking for a car that works with you. That likes every input you give it. And it can take it. You chuck it in and it just sticks.
Hey Tidgeny! I have come up with a new test idea. Since rain is sometimes in daily races and nations- and manufactures cup. It could be a good idea to test how the cars react to wet conditions in terms of lap times. I haven't come up with a track, but I think Spa could be a good pick.
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I feel the rain test could be difficult just due to the ways that sometimes a wetter track may suit a car better than a damp track vs a dry track? I can certainly look into it though.
That is the point. This information could be crusial if there are more races in gt7 with dynamic weather. From al we know, some cars could be awsome in the wet conditions like the RSR. But we just don't know.
Interesting Idea, not sure how it could be done easily without error. I could certainly look at measuring time on Bathurst fastest lap from max speed to a certain speed before the corner that would give a good indication I guess?
@@tidgney I'm glad you like it! I was thinking maybe stopping distance at certain speed, using Stage X. You get to the 2000 mts marker @260 km/h with these Group 3 cars, slam the brakes, and see how far they go until full stop, comparing images.
Man, seeing these top cars makes the me more and more sad looking at the non-meta cars 😅 Didn't think the difference would be that big on every kind of track.
what was your tuning setup for your version? I actually watched this video and purchased this car and have gotten my best lap times out of it, but im looking to fine tune the suspension and lsd to be optimal
@@billybobhouse9559 the game applies them upon the selected car / track combo, in either an online lobby or offline time trial which I think is how Tidge does it, I've never setup an online lobby on GT7 yet so I'm not familiar with all settings, you can find out more just doing a search GT BOP, GT Planet is a good source or GT website itself

This is a great car for controller users and the interior is very VR friendly. One of my top picks for Gr3 races.
One of the best cockpits for VR 😎

It's a 'gte' car so it's kinda stupid really. I don't know why it is racing against gt3 and has the obvious Advantage
Agree with you with the car, it creates such confidence it's amazing to be honest!

This is my favorite car in gt7 .
Yes on the half rpm speed test - that's my go to fuel saving marker unless I see you or others doing the 1/4 or less - Appreciate all your vids!!!

I love this car, The 911 GT3 is always my go to car. Especially if I don’t know the track that well. It’s easy to control yet so fun.

great review. your tests are very detailed
The fuel tank is up in the front of my dear, old, real-life Porsche 930, too.
My go to car since GTS always love pushing it to the limit and it was a delight in this exhibition’s round 1 in suzuka rain
Love these profiles they are awsome. Could you do the Ford gt 18 .
My favourite car.
Thanks Tidge 👏🔥

RSR has always been the best all-rounder.
Idea: how about braking test?

I read that they moved the engine forward to fit a bigger rear diffuser. My favourite Gr3 car.
There were 2 reasons and that was 1 of them, great info that I forgot to include :O!
This car is a good old faithful
Genesis X profile please.

How do you apply B.O.P to time trials?
Three types of BoP are applied, each individually adjusted for "high-speed", "medium-speed" and "slow-speed" tracks
@@Rapid_GT but how does he apply them? Is it in the settings somewhere because I can't find them.

I am using a Private lobby to enable B.O.P. :).
Cool, thanks matey. It looks like a useful way to practice for upcoming daily races.
Hello tidge
Hello :)
Might be a perfect beginners car, but I'm a beginner & not perfect........
You're perfect to us 💛, and like the oak tree at Brands
I prefer the Audi R8 LMS Evo
