- Honestly...there's a prayer request I've been bringing before God again and again, and I'm not seeing any answer. It's easy to feel like God isn't listening or that He doesn't care. But the truth is, God does hear my prayers. He just knows the best timing in which to answer them, and the best way to answer them - even when it doesn't make sense to me. If you're waiting on God to answer a prayer as well, I know today's video will encourage you. It's based on 2 Peter 3:9 which talks about a very specific promise that God is not slow in keeping. But as we unpack this verse, you'll see that it reveals powerful truths about God's character that you can hold onto no matter what promise you are waiting on God to fulfill or which prayer you are waiting on Him to answer. The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise...He simply has a good purpose in the timing He has set. 🤍

The lie I’m tempted to believe in the wait is that I don’t have what I need, and it’s on me to make sure I get it. A truth about God’s character I’m reminding myself of and silencing that lie with: “The Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul” (Psalm 23). The truth is, I have everything I need in this moment and God will provide what I need in the future moments as they come. In this moment, He is “making me lie down” - forcing me to rest, giving me what I truly need even if it’s not what I think I need. He is good, amen?!
Don’t forget to share what lie about God you’re tempted to believe in the wait. Then replace it with a truth about God’s character from Scripture to silence the enemy. 🤍

In the waiting, the enemy tempts me to believe that God is ignoring me-that he hears me and doesn’t care anymore. The truth that I need to be reminded of is that God cares so deeply about me and always acts for what is good.

The lie I'm tempted to believe in the wait is that I won't like God's timing over my own agenda...I know He will be faithful to keep His promises and won't withhold any good thing from His children (Psalm 84:11) but I keep coming back to doubt and fear if I'd enjoy accepting God's timing and His will over my life (instead of mine). The truths about God's character I'd love to remember : our Good God truly makes everything beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11), no other timing is better/more perfect than His. Another one is that, the God of peace will be with me as I continue to practice & choose to trust God even when it's hard (Philippians 4:9). I know it's the God of peace that I actually desire more than anything.

The enemy is giving me lies that I am lonely and have no more joy in my life after my son and his wife alienated us from our grandkids. He is constantly telling me after 2 1/2years that it will never get better and I have no more to look forward to.
The truth the God is telling me is that he is a way maker a promise keeper and a God of possibility. He speaks to me to believe and hope in him that one day my family will reunite and to remember I always have Joy in him.
I’m tempted to believe the lie that God is punishing me in the waiting for not being good enough Christian. However, a wonderful mentor wrote me this encouraging word. I hope it can help someone else today:
“He sees you. He knows you. He loves you passionately. You are not invisible or forgotten. Look for where He is at work and celebrate Him. Enjoy Him. He IS good! He makes all things beautiful in His time.”
A beautiful truth/promise is found in Isaiah 64:4 - “From of old, no one has heard or perceived by ear, no eye has seen a God besides you who acts for those who wait for Him.”
God actively works while we actively wait 🙌

There are a couple lies that I’ve been struggling with, that I’m not enough or that there’s something I NEED to do to earn God’s favor to truly be worthy. The Holy Spirit definitely convicted, and I had to ask myself “WAS THE CROSS NOT ENOUGH?” that was rough.
I’ve been fighting the lies with Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified WITH Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live BY FAITH in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
The reference to Gal 2:20 really blessed me! thank you
Psalms 114 - 118 are what I heard this morning. God is moving me to a place I wanted to live years ago but, it was not time. I had to experience"Egypt" first so, I can appreciate Him moving me from it NOW. Amen!! In the midst of my wrong thinking HE still kept His promise to me.
The lie: God takes too long.

God's timing is perfect. His plans/will, his ways, and his thoughts are better than ours. He has infinite knowledge and wisdom. He sees things we cannot see and knows things we do not know. He is perfect, loving, and kind. He has our best interest in mind and He is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. God can always be trusted with our lives. We can trust to surrender our life to Him who provides, protects, loves, and has all wisdom and power. Glory be to God 🙏💖

The enemy has been trying to convince me that I'm not able to discern God's voice, but the truth I can hold on to is that I can seek God's guidance, but he's the one who reveals himself to me. I can trust God's ability to speak more than my ability to hear!
God separated me and my soulmate back in February. We haven’t talked since March. Everyone thinks I should move on, but God is telling me to wait. It’s so, so hard and I want nothing more than to talk to my best friend again, but I know God is going to complete His work in both of us in due time 🩵
Bless you, Kaci! Just yesterday I had a crisis that almost led me to a nervous breakdown because I thought God simply must have forgotten me, because of all the really long waiting. My mom was talking precisely about God’s timing but the enemy was really strong in his attack. Today when I checked RUclips your video popped out and the part that says “God is not indifferent to our needs” brought tears to my eyes. Your video was an answer to what happened yesterday, you were the instrument God used. And his timing was simply perfect.

In this waiting season I've been tempted to give up because I can't see anything change in my life. The truth is God us working even when i don't see, God gives me the strength to face all the challenges in my life, He makes me strong through his power in my weaknesses.

( spoiler alert: He teaches the body about receiving the grace of Jesus and get your eyes off cleaning yourself up. It’s so freeing! ). Doesn't God see my suffering and the injustice? I'm actually angry at God at this point. I am in sooooooo much pain. I don't know what to say or do anymore
God never answered my prayers for a wife, and now I’m a 40 year old virgin. I feel betrayed, forsaken, and cursed, because of this. I don’t know if I’ll ever recover from this. I don’t even think my life is salvageable, any longer. Why is this the thanks I got for accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior? Why am I being punished for trying to do the right thing?
Have you considered that maybe God wants you for Himself? Paul remained single. 1 Cor 7:7. I'm not saying singleness is everybody's gift but it is for some.

At 25, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that God promised me that I would be married and start a family before I was 30. Then 30 came and went. Then 35 came and went. At one point my sister came out as a lesbian and married her roomate, and I asked how God could allow my sister to get married to a woman before I did. At 40, I gave up. I told God that I knew it was clearly not meant to be. I was bitter and angry and what I had long been referred to as "the promise" throughout my prayers became known as "the lie".
Shortly before 41, I met a woman in 20's that I believed that God was asking me to take on as a sort of adopted daughter. Certainly not a romantic partner and not what I believed I was promised but family. and that was enough. It was a difficult relationship, often one-sided, as the semi-mature young woman that everyone else saw seemed to act more like a bratty teenager with me, but every time I prayed about it I believed God was telling me to keep going and He would make it worth it in the end. Just don't give up on her.
A year and a half later, shortly before getting engaged to start her own family, she told me that she didn't view our time as valuable and she wanted little to do with me. Shortly after her engagement, she drove that point home even further. Shortly after that, someone else caught wind of a small piece of our relationship, decided I "showed too much concern for her" and that could only be because I desired a sexual relationship with her. I was called into HR to be told that I was a creep that needed to stay away from her. They had a conversation with her (calling me a creep and asking if she could even work with me any more) and, while she defended me in the moment, neither one of us has had much to say to each other ever since. Another promise from God that seems to have gone unmet.
Why? I don't know. I don't understand it and I am asking very similar questions to what you are. I find myself struggling with the feeling that I was a fool for believing in the first place.
All that I can say is that you are not alone. Not in your pain. Not in your frustration. Not in your circumstances. As hard as it has been to hold onto hope, and it has been hard, there is still a very small part of me that believes I have gone too far down this road to give up and that God will turn this around eventually. I can only pray that that is true, for both of us.
