ART Engineering have made some super comfortable trains. Cannibal and Primordial at Lagoon over here in the US runs their trains and they are both glossy smooth. I saw a few people on twitter say they "cheaped out", but in reality, they do make some of the best retrofit and/or custom made trains in the business from a ride experience perspective. Having a train custom made in any capacity can not be "cheap" endeavor.
The interesting thing is that when it was built, there was talk about them getting one sit down and one stand-up - there was always the option for the sit-down train for the first few years but they never took it up. They went for two stand-up trains instead. So it is nice we can now do the sit down version
Many people are saying it’s a significant improvement on the original (including yourself). It would definitely be good to see the track being given a repaint.
That zero-g roll goes insane with just a lap-bar. Doing away with over-the-shoulder restraints is probably one of the best things they could’ve done for this coaster. As a Drayton Manor local, I am very happy.
Never got to do this when it was stand up but I got a second row ride on Friday... Bloody loved it!! Gotta agree the operations were slow as hell. Deffo something they need to look into. Can't wait to go back and ride again though!!
In reality, since Millennium have the same 1.2m height restriction as The Wave, wouldn't Millennium be the 'UK's most thrilling family coaster' or even Speed? It has a 1,25cm height requirement, or Mumbo Jumbo? Like I'm not entirely sure if the Wave is the UK's most thrilling family coaster
What I think they should do is have either the back 1 or 2 rows as stand ups for those who missed out in the past and use the front row queue as a queue for the stand up row/s
Trust me, it isnt nothing if it isn’t standup, back when you could stand backwards in the restraints, that was the most intense experience, now it’s just bland.
@@gamingandcraftswithlogan8714 yes but my point was that for children like my 7 year old daughter, this will be a brilliant introduction to more thrilling rollercoasters and will be her first time going upside down.
@@captinhogwash oh, my bad, I thought you meant it was still as thrilling as it was before. But yeah, this is a nice little ride to get started with inversions, as it doesn’t have too many, and the only scary thing about it is the inversion. My first time inverting was just opposite it, ironically, on air race with my school. I had a migraine that day and felt sick after going on, so I skipped out on stormforce ten and ended up in Thomas land. Not knocking it though, troublesome trucks is one of the best coasters in the uk, up there with flying fish, diplomas Dino coaster and the octonauts coaster!
It's a family focused park more than it has ever been now that especially since have made so their big signature coaster is suitable for smaller children. Seems like they are doing better than some other parks in the county at the minute as well. So I wouldn't say the park is ruined.
Looks like it kind of better I guess as they want to do family friendly rides now it’s a improvement but to a lot of other people standup was probably better
It's actually an Intamin coaster, but the track was subcontracted by the now defunct Giovanola - who just so happen to be the company that Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard worked for before leaving and starting B&M. The new trains are made by ART Engineering.
Isn’t this new theme supposed to to act like you’re surfing because if so you stand up while surfing and the coaster was originally a stand up. They should of just re themed it
im going to have an opinion, and that is, they should of kept one stand up train. Run one of each. No doubt that the new sit down experience is great with the lap bars and the fact it brings the min height req down to 1.2 is a bonus, but the stand up was what made shockwave/the wave/7up however you remember it, so unique and incredible. Its been a number of years since ive been, I think G-Force had only just closed down when I was last there, and I remember being able to ride shockwave, im pretty sure close to 12 times in a row before i went home as the park was super quiet. It may be a little while before i can visit again, i have heard that Apocalypse is gone which is also a shame, as the stand up on that was unique and exhilarating too. Sure the old trains were probably in need of a lot of loving, but it would of been nice to see maybe a new, redesigned stand up train to accompany the new sit down
sO NOW THERE IS no STAND UP COASTER IM THE uk WONDER WHO WILL BE FIRST TO PUT 1 IN hope they ,ake it a real stand up as you really sit down while standing up on all of them

they also made the monstrosity of trains that run on wicked, so…
The teleport was smooth

Hey, I was the guy who ran at you in Vikings 😂 Thanks for having a photo with me
Haha no worries man, was great to see you! Hope you had a good day! 😊
Ride twice on Monday so much better than before.. lap bar.. smooth.. great head chop moments. And still had that powerful breaks
This ride is amazing. It is a shame that they got rid of the stand up trains. But I really love the theming! Thanks for the review Dan!🎉
The MCC music goes hard
From a stand up to a sit down and also good to see you back at Drayton Manor again
congrats on 20,000,000 views that is truly and incredble achivment can wait to see the channel in the furture

The shockwave brakes were not as bad as they looked and also we're fun
At 1:04 it looks like Canada,USA,Mexico,South America and others
Love this with the sit down trains its a great ride.
ART produkt. Perfekt
Dan: bit of music in here

It is really intense to be fair! More than Millennium in my eyes anyway 😅
Ye but they have over the shoulder restraints but the wave doesn't
I was so confused what you were on about when I first looked at this video
If only Loopings could put this much money into Pleasurewood Hills…
I’m just wondering why the front row queue is on the right and not the left
This is my first coaster with loops.
I went on shockwave when it was standing up in yr 6 my teacher forced us all to go on it hated it so much
Dan, this is a really random question, can you make a video on planet coaster on what may go in the scorpion express area if it gets removed?
That is a plan for the future actually!!

Given that this will be many children's first time on an upside down coaster, given the new hight restriction, I'm really encouraged by this review.
