Hi folks, last night I went to the Blackpool Illuminations Switch On 2024 and to be honest I was kind of dissapointed as it didn't feel the same due to certain aspects which I explain in the vlog. I had a good evening though regardless and there was a couple of things made the night good!

I've never been to the actual switch on so have nothing to compare it to. I did watch the year David Tennant switched them on though, on you tube most likely. Thanks for filming it, I love the Illuminations, a real pick up headed into Autumn and they make great use of the Tower too. Loved the girls at the start!
@@TheFoxyb I wouldn't compare it to anything as only Blackpool know how to put on a good show but this year felt a bit quicker than usual I don't know how to describe it. The rest of the evening was good and those girls were a highlight. They actually found this video and commented we've been talking on TikTok as all four commented on the clip I posted. 😊

All the lovers always plays switch on night it gives me chills because I like hearing it as it plays before you go up the tower to. No worries I just enjoy what I do. 😊🙏

Switch on was shorter and less 'amazing' than I thought it would be. Still, all the lights are so pretty.
@@JoliNatural I felt exactly the same I was kind of disappointed to be honest. The whole thing felt rushed whereas if it was a different presenter who was dealing with the celebrity it would have been so so much better. The lights always look really good. I went back this evening and it was so much better less people as kids are back at school this week so it felt so pleasent. Glad I had the interaction with the girls they wanted to be on the video bless them and we've been talking on TikTok they found me aha.
@@peter_robinson Did you say the lights will be on til January? Nice to have some fans. TBH if I was a local I'd be going through videos to see if I'm on them ha ha ha.
@@JoliNatural yeah they are on till 5th January but we have other events to like Lightpool Festival which is a big light art trial around the town then the fireworks after then the big end of year event Christmas By The Sea which was really good past couple of years. I think I'm on a few people's videos as when I rode the lights people were filming aha. I don't really watch any other people that do the same thing I do just one person. 😊
