This DISASTER was POST-APOCALYPTIC | Satisfying Backyard Makeover | Part 2

- This backyard was in dire need of some tender loving care! It looked as if it hadn't been maintained in years, was very overgrown, neglected and a real mess. We were tasked with the restoration of the entire backyard and the front yard (the front wasn't bad though). As you can see, the transformation was a big job and took the best part of 8 hours to complete. We took out about 3 full loads of rubbish and green waste to the waste disposal site (the tip). On this episode you will see mowing, pruning, rubbish removal and hopefully satisfying hard work. This is part 2 of 2.
Part 01: • This DISASTER was POST...
Workers on this job: George (long pants) & Brent (shorts).

FAQ's:
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in 4 years on the job.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!

To the person that made the comment about the other guy doing all the hard work... George does not ask them to do anything that he already does himself. It's part of the job whether it's one person or two.
Completely agree!
It's really impressive and your helper has come along way with your teaching. The two of you work good together. As always it's beautiful!!!
Anyone else's mind blown by the amount of trash unearthed in the far backyard by the fence. Closer to the house kind of made sense. The clear cutting all the bushes and brush made such a difference.
What gets me is the trees are not this owners. But they will be expect to be respondible for half of a new fence eventually. The neighbours should be made aware of this fact. If you don't alert the owner of the damage you will be expected to pay half. Everyone has to be aware that if your trees or animals or your humans damage the adjoining properties fence you and not the other properties owner will be responsible for full payment. Best to work together no bad feelings to come back and bash you over the head. Remember the owner not the renter. It would be beneficial if the owner were made aware by the renter, if so, that the trees are getting invasive. Can they please sort it out. Not all renters have the tools.
Where I live if the neighbors trees are growing over into my yard it's legal to cut them
I love to watch you guys destroy those old overgrown bushes and trees!😃
Your meticulous approach to cleaning up the yard and trimming and removing all brush, vines, etc. is exemplary.
You don’t give enough credit to your helper. He is awesome!
I think George gives plenty of credit but reading these comments it’s becoming clearer why he worked alone for so long!
Amazing transformation. You guys work so well together, nice to see.
Great job! It looks so much better than the before - I bet the homeowner was very pleased. Thanks for bringing us along!
That's crazy that tree growing sideways through the fence. 😵💫 Good job removing it without damaging the fence. 👍
WOW!!! You guys did an amazing job! So much trash and trees/bushes to haul away. It looks great and I'm sure the homeowner was impressed to say the least.
I love the way you systematically go through the garden working as a tag team moving stuff , bining the rubbish cutting and clearing up as you go .
I watch some American gardeners get on the sit on lawnmower and do all the cutting and edging afterwards . They don’t move the clutter and I’ve seen one guy just mow round that piece of fencing that’s fallen over or whatever else was on the lawn . It really didn’t help my OCD. It’s also a big thing to just mulch the leaves , small branches and grass cuttings. Yet Australians are like the Brits and pick all that up and take it to the dump . I can’t imagine wanting to sit on mulched grass . It must play havoc getting all over your shoes and staining clothes .
You both have done an amazing job on this garden . I’m always amazed at how big the areas become after you have done .
Cheers 🤗
Looks nice and open after removing those trees and bushes. Looks larger too!
Well done you guys did an amazing job
Clean, fine lines 👌 You both are the best 👌 Thank you 😊
Fantastic Job, well done!
Tu lavori parecchio, ma anche il tuo collaboratore non si ferma mai!!! Non tutti fanno così!!! Complimenti!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Excellent cleanup, trimming and mowing. Wow to me it looked like someone was actually living in that back yard with so much clothing etc. Good JOB and God Bless.
WOW ONE BEAUTIFUL JOB DONE!! YOUE BOTH WORK TOGETHER SO WELL! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THESE GREAT VIDEOS PT. 1 & 2, SO SATISFYING TO SEE THE OUTCOME! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH FOR THE WONDERFUL WORK THAT YOU BOTH DO FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT DO IT THEMSELVES. I BET THE OWNER WAS VERY HAPPY.❤️🙏🏻🌟🤗👍❤️
What a relief! So much stuff is just crushing to the soul.
Great job George!
I love this video. The trash removal made it awesome. Most don't remove the rubbish.
I think you boys went above and beyond for these home owners great job

Fantastic work 💯❤️
kudoes to your assistant, he is so conscientious. You are fortunate to have him.
He is conscientious because I have trained him that way and check all work done. But he is a good worker 👍🙂
Playlists would be great😊
Best transformation EVER!! Beautiful job guys! 👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful Job! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing 😊
An amazing amount of very hard work with phenomenal results. Good job gentlemen.
Bagging after you weedeated the fence line will help to lift and pick up the rest of the debris and trash. Smart fellows!
I watched this again I don't think I left a comment last time but great job! Looks so good!

Beautiful work guys
Cheers 🙂
Excellent work both Reese and George
That was AMAZING 👏 That place looks a million times better...Great job 👏
Oooooo.....very nice! Love your sense of humor too!
This was a great second kart. Loved it.
Excellent job 🎉 bravo! I remember years ago in us history cutting neighbors trees hanging in your yard was not allowed. Which I don't agree. But the laws might be different now. It is so satisfying to see you cutting branches off neighbors' trees that are imposed in the yard you are working on.
That makeover is amazing. You guys do such a good work. It looks like a totally different place.
Fantastic job guys! That yard was ridiculous!
Absolutely fabulous job, guys!!
With all those trees either removed or the neighbors' trees hanging over into your customer s backyard trimmed back to the fence line, there will be less leaves and fallen branches and more sunlight to help grow the grass. Great job guys!!!
lindo perfeito se tivesse parte 3 4 5 ou mais assistiria todas!!! 😁 vocês capricharam como sempre parabéns meninos 😉
Your helper is a very hard worker kudos to him❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I thought there was no part II, but now I am still happy
Sitting here thinking that, as science has now discovered that trees are, to some extent, sentient beings, I’m a little sorry for those last two really big trees on the other side of the fence. They have spent decades apparently doing nothing but try to run away from home over the fence. They just keep getting chopped off at the knees, so to speak! The owner of that property really ought to have them seen to by a tree surgeon. They may not even be viable any longer, even on his side. And anyone who thinks that paper products are biodegradable should watch this video - even above ground they most clearly don’t degrade, so obviously in a landfill there is no hope at all. Great job guys! 🇨🇦💕
Great job fellas!! 👍🏻😊2nd channel where have I been 🧐glad I figured it out! Duh! Very satisfying video! Stay safe and healthy! Take care!
hahaha, thank you 🤗🥰
Wow, jov well done!😂
Excellent job!

Bravo.bravo vous.ette.formidable.toi.et.ton.amie👍👍👏👏🌹🌷🇩🇿
That certainly was a disaster! Now you've whipped it into shape!
Talk about a transformation this is it.That is a totally different yard.
Absolutely brilliant xx.
You guys really rocked this !
✌😎
VERY nice!!!
Wow
You're such a hard worker. Some of the yards you take on are a nightmare. Love to go back to last year and watch you and the stocky guy with the Ever Last shorts work together. Great team. I've also noticed that in almost every Aussie garden there seems to be a mound of garbage in the back corner of the yard. What's with that?🇨🇦 Cheers
Спасибо вам
Sou de Portugal, fã do vosso trabalho. Parabéns
Outstanding !!!
This is amazing!
Looks great! 👍🏼👍🏼
Just beautiful 😍
excellent clean up
Esse seu secretário é ótimo muito bom
Thank you 🙂
Работа на твёрдую 4 из 5. Процентов 30 непоследовательного использования инструмента и потери времени. И побольше деликатности в обрезке растений. Помощнику респект!
Thanks for the comment!
Bravo Good job !!
I love when you cut down neighbors stuff, it needs to go❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ awesome job

Dear do pray 4my fast recovery. Drain still there n hv 2b cautious 8all times.😊
The horse! 👍😎
Wonder how long it will take to get into the shape it was in. Maybe two months
Hi hello i am your new followers philipines.
Какая красота!
Great work guys 🙂. Am wondering - that horse ornament you found in the backyard along the fence, was it made of wood?
Is there a time that you encountered snakes on your mowing and cleaning on their yards?
hmmm, haven't I answered this question for you on my other channel?
Good morning Sir in the other side of the world . This is my first question upon watching you for the first time in RUclips. Anyway, thank you still remember me. Keep up the good work. Keep safe always. God is good.💕
@@QCV2 It seems that all newcomers want to know this. It is amazing if you haven't encountered any snakes in the tall grass you guys cut!
Tiled the whole garden. That Is the solution
Get a tarp to put the brush on it, and than you can drag a bigger amount in less trips.
Oooohhhh
💚💚
Makes me wonder; was the horse statue put back there on purpose and did anyone miss it? Lol
It would be interesting to see the yard once growing season starts again to see how much its filled in.
I wonder if that's landfill land? All that rubbish that comes up when you are raking. Just a thought.
hahaha, nah, just messy. They live next to a highway, so the rubbish blows down, I think 🙂
👍
I imagine they must of had an agreement with the neighbors to be able to cut as must of the other trees that were close/over the fence! From Canada if it isn't planted on your property you are not responsible and can hold the neighbors accountable to keeping his things tidy or settling on having it not cross over at all.
Do you have any hope that it will stay cleaned up?
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Hi George and Reece. You sure butchered that backyard to pieces and cut half a pine tree down in the process. That must have been at least three truckload of refuse or more !! Nice job.
