Grian’s chair is just too perfect for him. 1. It’s simple redstone. Not complicated 2. It keeps him moving at all times so he doesn’t get bored. Bc he can’t stop moving around in a normal chair
the only reason i survived my 6 day hospital stay as a 13 year old, was because my grandmother stayed with me non stop the whole time. slept in the recliner in my room, read me books, played games with me..... becasue you have to PAY to have the TV enabled. and my family was pour... this would have been a godsend.
Omg scar was very emotional in this stream, I teared up because I am such a huge fan of scar and he is absolutely amazing, I'm a kid with autism and I have been through so much, when the last life series came out that's when I found his channel, when I found out he was a disabled RUclipsr my passion to watch his videos grew and grew and grew, I kept on watching his videos soon after and kept up with scars content, I love his videos so much and I do anything to meet him in real life someday, I'm so proud of scar organizing it and almost everyone pushing through to help scar, scar is totally right about the hermitcraft community being the most positive and supporting community, I would feel the same way, scar is such an inspiration to me and many others, congrats scar, so very much deserved, we love you scar, all the hermits and the viewers do.
I just want you to know that this, in addition to being a great success in its own right, was also an important experience for so many young people watching, including my two kids. They and I are big fans of all of you, and they were very interested in learning more about the fundraiser and gamers outreach. We had a good family chat about it, and both kids put up part of their first report card bonus allowances as part of our donation. When Martyn read out their names, they were thrilled, and happy to be a small part of it. This was an inspiration, you are an inspiration, thank you for doing this, and thanks to you and to all of the hermits for just being awesome people. [update 2 days later] Also need to emphasize, re-watching this now and realizing how so many of the donations came from families, kids watching with their folks…we were not the only ones to have this experience and it just highlights how much the hermits bring people together ❤️
Thanks. I actually updated the comment a bit because I wanted to highlight the fact that if you look at the names attached to the lots of the donations, this was a really common experience, families, watching together, young people, conspiring with the adults in their lives to coordinate a donation. obviously I think my kids are cool, but I think the bigger story is how many young people were tuning into this and what are unifying experience it was.
Donated 2.5k during the stream. And the whole time, I was just trying not to cry. Seeing how scar was struggling with words, so shocked, so touched by everyone's generosity! So proud of all the hermits for the work they've put into this, and especially Scar for organising everything. Not forgetting Martyn, who was a stellar host. And Scar is absolutely right, of course, the Hermitcraft community is definitely the best!

I know I'm late but this is wonderful. My little brother was hospitalized for 3 months when he was 7 and that Go Kart let him feel like a kid again despite the fact that he'd been left profoundly disabled. These guys are great for doing this
There's a auction on April 7/8 look in to scars twitch that day goodtimeswithscar idk if u watch his stuff he's disabled and this was a important thing for him from when he was a child and how things happen in live with disabilities scars content really helps ppl disabled and he's a symbol of hope for a lot of ppl
Well Done, Scar! Every dollar everyone gave was an act of love, for you, for the Hermits, and for the kids!💖 And it’s still coming in, via the links some Hermits have posted!!!🎉🎉🎉
Anyone still wanting to donate, the official link is on Community Posts from JoeHills and FalseSymmetry, and in the descriptions on the stream VODs by PearlescentMoon and BdoubleO100. (If I missed any Hermits, please comment below to add. Thanks!) 😊✨ Edit: Donations are over $432k right now…. Wouldn’t it be cool if it reached $440k?! ✨
3:58:10 Probably nobody will read this, but I still wanna say that scar is 100% correct when he says the hermitcraft community is the best community there is. After Season 8 ended I amde a video called "When is Hermitcraft Season 9 gonna start?" that got 48K views and 202 comments, and despite it being a relatively bad video in hindsight filled with no real infos but just poor guesses on my part that turned out to be blatantly wrong, 201 out of the 202 comments were supportive, and the only other one wasn't even like an insult or a slur but just something mildly mean like :"This video was a waste of time" that might not have even been wrong now that I look back at it. This community is insanely positive.
After JoeHills late night live stream the total donated by the Hermitcraft community was $425 k !!! The charity link was up until late last night. 😁Today many people are still celebrating the event where so many loving generous donors participated. Scar headed up the event, Cub set a schedule of the mini-games, Martyn volunteered as announcer, and then there where volunteers of the technical aspects of the live stream (names I can't remember sorry). The huge undertaking was accomplished with such a great outcome. I watched Bdubs and Pearl's RUclips live streams during the main event. After hours I found Joe doing his "shave the beard" because of the donations blowing up past a set point. 🤣 I am happily now seeing Scar's live stream now. I only wish I could have seen every Hermits live steam simultaneously!!! Thank you Scar; you did a fantastically fabulous work.
I sadly missed the stream as my laptop is in repair (due to water damage ;-;), but watching the VOD and seeing and hearing the sheer amount of donations and happiness in the hermit‘s voices, warms my heart. It‘s absolutely amazing what these creators have done to help all these kids in the hospital, who just wish for some happy fun time. Love goes out to all the hermits, people involved in the charity and all those thousands of donators.
I think that the Hermitcraft community would enjoy seeing this next year. Within the mcyt community people love donating to causes that they want to see succeed.
When I was a kid, I spent 21 days in a hospital recovering from surgery. It was scary and I felt really isolated. I am very thankful that there are charities like Gamers Outreach that do these amazing things to give kids some fun while they’re in the hospital.
Hi! No one will ever see this, but I just wanna say something. Now I know this is gonna sound stupid and childish of me, but watching you videos, really does help me. I have anxiety and depression and one of my coping mechanisms when I can't talk to anyone is to watch videos and listen to podcasts to take my mind away from other things. And your videos, along with a few others are the best thing to watch because you are so kind, so happy, no matter what happens, you still are up for a laugh at the end of the day. And that is hard to find sometimes. So thank you. You do more than you realize.
It's funny how much scars speechlessness expresses how gratitude and dumbfoundedness! Seriously amazing what everyone has done! Thank you for the amazing job to the hermits and those behind the scenes for doing this! And hats off to all those who donated, watched, and shared!
Watching the donations roll in with people donating hundreds or even over a thousand just for a good cause restored my faith in humanity, thank you for hosting such a good stream and helping a good cause
I'm so amazed by this community! The fact that you all thought 25k might have been impossible.. absolutely astounding what the donors have done there. + I'd like to know who else was streaming. I watched this live and I'm halfway through Bdub's POV. I couldn't really tell during the event who else might've been.
I know Pearl also has a VOD of her stream up on RUclips ✨ Edit: False, Iskall, Impulse, Cubfan, Martyn (Inthelittlewood), Xisuma, and Rendog have VODs on Twitch. (Maybe others?)
Some other hermits who streamed were Tango, Impulse, Pearl, Jevin, Cub, False, Cleo, Iskall and Ren. Xisuma did a pre-event stream and Joe did an after-event stream shaving his beard for a goal
im not a teary person when it comes to stuff like shows or videos or such but not even 5 minutes in and the goal was already smashed and just knowing that the community ended up raising almost half a million dollars made me on the verge of tears this entire vod im just so proud of this community and what it can accomplish honestly im so glad one random day three or so years ago i stumbled across grian to where i found scar
What else is there to say? Congratulations Scar! Way to go! Huge pats on the back for you! Thanks to all the hermits, Martyn, and all the donors. The audio is fine.
Scar! You and your fellow hermits are official LEGENDS! I've been watching GDQs and RPG Limit Break fundraisers since it was in a basement. Today they raise millions upon millions. Over what a week? 10 days? Not sure but always excited to see it. To watch the Hermits come to tears as the donations poured in! OMFG! Nearly half a million dollars in 4 hours! I love what the hermits do day to day. You guys and gals have been entertaining me for years! But this! This was really really special. $120k an hour... $120 freakin K an hour! That was "amazing"! All of you pat yourselves on the back!
Sadly I wasn't able to tune in, but I promoted a lot over on twitter! It is so amazing Scar, that you made this happen! Charity streams are one of the best things in the world - literally! A bunch of people coming together to have fun, streaming out to the world, to create even more fun, and then donating the money to create even more fun! What better thing can there be? And when I hear how you describe lying in a hospital, it reminds me a lot of what I heared about beeing in prison. I am fortunate enough to not have lied in a hospital or prison so far in my life, but I just hope, that Gamers Outreach can fullfill their mission, and make hospitals to a place of joy! Thank you, thank you, thank you! To everyone who donated even the smallest amount of money! To everyone who just watched and to everyone who supports events like this! Lets keep it going - there are so many charity streams and events coming up over the next few month! Lets show the world what gamers really are, and let us make our planet better!
This made me a little emotional just watching Scar and his reactions. I spent a good amount of my childhood in hospitals either because of my health or my father having seizures. I found scar a few years ago and fell in love with the joy and wonderful feelings he brings to the community. My father likes watching with me and seeing everyone seek for a better time in the hospital just...it's amazing.
Seeing scar so emotional shows how meaningful this is to him. I had to quit my job due to my health so unfortunately I couldn't donate but I really wish I could've done
This was an amazing stream to see live, there were many laughs and tears shed on my part! I'm so proud of Scar, all of the people who put this together, and our community for raising over 16x the amount of the original goal. It was a truly incredible experience to be a part of
Six minutes into the video, stream hasn't officially started and the money raising goal gets hit emidiatly. I'm so happy for you charity live stream goals being smashed so profoundly. Omg you, this surver and this community are amazing
I just watched this after watching Thankmas with Jacksepticeye and I am beyond thrilled at the generosity of people. These years havent been easy on any of us and I am so stinkin proud to be a part of both fantastic communities. Much love to you Scar for all the work you put in to make this a reality.
$437,728.99 raised so far, what an extraordinary accomplishment! You and all the Hermits are beyond amazing, the work, effort and time you've put into this is mind blowing. You all will have changed so many people's lives... thanks for showing that anything is possible, you'll always be a true inspiration to so many people. Scarian and HC fan forever!
After all the time I've spent in hospitals in the last year - and for the last 15 - this charity really touches my heart. Seeing how much the community donated was amazing, and how happy everyone was to participate in this. I feel shored up with hope, and I hope that this comment might ping Scar and remind him of the charity and how he brought together the community for something so amazing, and it might bring him some hope and cheer while he's grieving the loss of Jellie. I saw her in my minecraft world today and had to tame her and bring her home with me. I'm thinking of making a cat army/cat horde (cat hoard? XD) in my world, and I'm going to collect them all - gotta catch 'em all - and Jellie is one of my favorites. ❤ She was a pretty, sweet lady. I laughed hearing Scar tell her not to use the claws as he picked her up. So relatable! 😆 And I like Happy Paws. I might have to use that. This stream was so good. So fun and wholesome. Thanks for uploading it so I could watch it a whole year (or more) later. It was nice to revisit the Panda Rescue Game (you are definitely S-tier), and see all the other mini-games. They looked so fun! And thank you for working so hard on this and on making youtube videos to entertain and teach us better building. I see a little of how hard you and the others work and I appreciate it greatly. I think a lot of us do. I don't like to pick bests, but I do think the Hermitcraft community is a great one, and I think some of it comes from the Hermits themselves, cultivating a good community. Anyway, thank you for your generosity and for all the years of good times! 😊
I love recognizing names in the communities, I knew a few names Martyn read out like AjChromatic was a donator I can remember doing big donations to people in similar communities a while ago. Love to hear people still hanging about and being generous and kind, even if it’s just a familiar name that stuck in my head.
@@allinory :D Funny you reply to this comment now! I just watched the entire charity stream again yesterday, even though it was from Tango’s vod, but i remembered this comment I wrote when I heard familiar names again
omg gamers outreach they have come to my hospital they are a really good charity it’s awesome to have something to do while being in the hospital thank u so much
My Minecraft journey has been strange, but who's isn't. I actually watched Pearl's stream of this event and I want to say congrats to you directly. Thank you for you. Without you many of us wouldn't have any idea that this charity exists. I still tear up thinking about the absolute joy that will be brought with the generosity of the Minecraft community. The world is going to be a little bit better, because of you. Thank you so much and Jimmy is totally a toy😁
AHH IM SO HAPPY! Thanks for uploading the vod for those of us that couldn't make it to the stream and thanks for organizing this event! I think I speak for most of us Hermitcraft fans when I say I'd love to see more charity events in the future! A huge thanks you to everyone that donated as well, the link is still up if anyone would like to donate still!
I'm so glad this stream went so well. I'm in tears seeing just how much good you hermits have accomplished. Scar, you helped me through my chemo treatment. Keep up the good work!
the most wonderful event i have watched scar king!! i laughed and cried and laughed again!! thank you for organizing it and putting such insane effort you and all the amazing hermits!! and thank you for everyone in the community who donated and shared or been there yall rad
I'm so proud of you hermits, as well as everyone that donated, helped, and hung out in chat. This community is such an awesome place filled with amazing people, and this is proof of that. Thank you Gamer's Outreach! Thank you Scar and hermits!
This was amazing to watch. I missed the livestream but so glad to watch it in anyway!I'll be binge watching all hermit stream replays! Several times Scar's reaction had me teary-eyed! I also found myself begging Scar to breath at a few spots! Blesso you and the Hermits and amazing community!!
I watched the entire thing live on Twitch. Totally cried tears with you, Scar. Absolutely amazing and I can’t say enough how wonderful it was to see the Hermits really come together for this event!! ❤
This was AMAZING! Love the way you set up the games, and the hard work you and the rest of the Hermits really shows. I cant believe your goal was orginally 25,000, lol!
Scar, thank you! I am incredibly proud of you, proud of the hermits, and the hermit community! I had so many smiles watching you all see this unfold, as well as a fair amount of tears! What a beautiful thing! You are such a blessing and bright spot in my life and the life’s of soooooo many in this community! You and the other Hermits are such a joy for me to watch and brings me much needed laughs and smiles when I am stressed and overwhelmed with life, and that means a lot to me!
This is incredibly inspiring and made me tear up seeing so much positivity and it raised my faith in humanity. Love each of you involved here for doing something just out of the kindness of your heart for others. Y’all are amazing. Well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Such an amazing effort from everyone. I see that this charity supports my countries children's hospital so its so awesome that this much money was raised
I love this community so much. The fans are amazing, the hermits are amazing, the content is always just top tier. It makes me feel like I'm involved in their [hermitcraft] lives. I'm an adult, working a rather serious job, who just loves to unwind with hermitcraft, and this stream is an absolute treat. I'm going to replay it regularly.
This was an amazing stream! Congratulations on your success and best of luck to the cause and everybody involved. And thank you, Scar for the hours of content. I'm already looking forward to HC/Gamers Outreach 2023.
I want to say well done Scar! I watched snippets from the streams everyone did last night but I was working so I am now watching the uploaded videos. I have just started playing minecraft and I am so happy I have found hermitcraft to watch and play at the same time. I work in healthcare as a care aide and I am in school full time now to upgrade to nursing. You all have kept me sane and my anxiety down as I start this journey!
I've been having a really, really hard time lately and watching this stream on Sunday gave me some much-needed joy and hope for the world. Today I'm struggling extra-much and rewatching this and getting emotional right along with you all over again is keeping me going. From a fellow disabled Ryan: thank you for this. For all the good you've done, through the money raised for all those kids, through the important message you've sent about caring for others (even when you're struggling yourself), and just through the positivity you put into the world every day. This only happened because of you, both organizing the event and building such a wholesome community in the first place. It matters even more than you know. ❤
I come back and rewatch highlights from this wjhen i need a good cry. Scar at the end is such a ball of emotions for something he worked SO HARD FOR, and so connected to. I will never not cry at hearing scar thsnk the biewers at the end ❤️ i hope he slept for a solid 20 hours after that.
You've had to be patient (in several senses of the word) and strong to endure what you've been through. You've shown compassion to say "I'd like to make this better, so that other kids can have an easier time than I did." And then you gathered a group of colleagues to share your strength and compassion - that's leadership. Patience, strength, compassion, and leadership - These are probably the four most admirable traits a human can possess. You are a good man; I wish you much more success in life, you should be extremely proud of this accomplishment. If you did nothing else for the rest of your life, this would probably be enough. But, I believe you'll do even greater things, and I can't wait to see them.
Several years ago I spent several weeks in ICU with a breathing tube in for most of it... I had a lot of trouble getting used to the machine and it caused a lot of panic attacks. The second week my gf brought me my psp (loaded with over 75 GBA games) and it wasn't until I started playing tetris did I finally relax enough to the point where I didnt notice the machine anymore. Everytime I think about how much this will help kids I get choked up. Great cause from a great person and community
Huge success of great people❤️I am not able to express my gratitude for organizing this event and making the hospital reality better. You are a wonderful person with a beautiful soul❤️I am delighted with the amount of good-hearted people who supported the fundraiser 🎉 Stream was super fun, chaotic, mini games great. it was great entertainment!😂❤
This was a really awesome thing. These carts mean so much to kids and their families. It means the world to just provide a few hours of play to get the mind off the bad things that may be happening all around them and bring a little smile back to a scared face.
I really love how the two biggest minecraft communities (In my opinion) have each their charities, Hermits : Children in hospitals, DSMP: Cancer in children
Being in the hospital is rough. Even rougher as a kid. I remember one time in the hospital I couldn’t play the games because of my situation, but I could watch the movies. It was a huge relief, something normal, something relaxing. I will always remember I watched Ice Age on VHS. Gees, that was along time ago, Minecraft wasn’t even made yet lol. Only kid in the ICU that night, so they told me I didn’t have to worry about the volume. It was a challenge not to laugh too hard because I had major abdominal surgery! Scar, so glad I could help in the small way I could, and we are all so happy, and proud of you and all the hermits for doing this. ❤

I know Pearl also has a VOD of her stream up on RUclips ✨
Edit: False, Iskall, Impulse, Cubfan, Martyn (Inthelittlewood), Xisuma, and Rendog have VODs on Twitch. (Maybe others?)
Also Tango
And ZombieCleo. How could I miss those two!😅
Oh, I didn't know so many were streaming.. 😅 I have a month's worth of content from this 4 hour stream.
Some other hermits who streamed were Tango, Impulse, Pearl, Jevin, Cub, False, Cleo, Iskall and Ren.
Xisuma did a pre-event stream and Joe did an after-event stream shaving his beard for a goal
My most favorite stream ever
The hermitcraft community really is the best
Well done, everyone
And thank you, Scar
this vod had me smiling wide for 4 hours
im not a teary person when it comes to stuff like shows or videos or such but not even 5 minutes in and the goal was already smashed and just knowing that the community ended up raising almost half a million dollars made me on the verge of tears this entire vod im just so proud of this community and what it can accomplish
honestly im so glad one random day three or so years ago i stumbled across grian to where i found scar
What else is there to say? Congratulations Scar! Way to go! Huge pats on the back for you! Thanks to all the hermits, Martyn, and all the donors.
The audio is fine.
I'm so sad Tango's game blew up! It was for sure one of the ones I was looking the most forward to!
It was amazing! I don't think it would be too hard to fix. Just more layers of obsidian for the control room?
@20:00 in $105,000 k donated by the amazing HC community!! Still makes me tear up seeing Scar so overwhelmed with emotion & gratitude!
IT WAS AN AMAZING EVENT
SO FUN AND SO PROUD OF EVERYTHING ❤
It was a truly incredible experience to be a part of
My family tuned in to the stream with me and were so impressed by the love and positivity shown by the Hermits and Hermitcraft community. ❤❤❤
This will make history. The gaming community can make real impacts
That's super sweet
@@allinory :D
Funny you reply to this comment now!
I can really see why this charity matters so much to you, and i am so happy it could raise so much money for it
I don’t have the words for how awesome you, the hermits and everyone that donated are!! You should be so proud x
I love your username

Fantastic work Scar and Hermits! Your community is amazing!
Man all the work you and your family put in to get you back up and running is touching and inspiring. This world is better off with you in it Scar.
I watched the entire thing live on Twitch. Totally cried tears with you, Scar. Absolutely amazing and I can’t say enough how wonderful it was to see the Hermits really come together for this event!! ❤
I can't stop watching bits of vods even though I watched live 😊😊😊 you just did such and amazing job and we have the best community for sure
This was an awesome idea. so proud of what the community managed to do together
started watching Hermitcraft through your channel. thank you for everything Scar. that last donation from you made me cry

My goodness, 415 thousand dollars
Hermitcraft has in my humble opinion since long become one of the best and most influental Mincraft SMPs out there. You guys are an inspiration.
You are a wonderful person with a beautiful soul❤️I am delighted with the amount of good-hearted people who supported the fundraiser 🎉
Stream was super fun, chaotic, mini games great. it was great entertainment!😂❤
Man, you guys really made it happen in a big way! Hermits and community. WOw
This was a FANTASTIC EVENT
This was a really awesome thing. These carts mean so much to kids and their families. It means the world to just provide a few hours of play to get the mind off the bad things that may be happening all around them and bring a little smile back to a scared face.
Petition that at the end of the season, we get all the chapters of Landscaping your mind
I really love how the two biggest minecraft communities (In my opinion) have each their charities, Hermits : Children in hospitals, DSMP: Cancer in children
I have been watching all the hermits perspectives of this and I cry every time
I’m so sad I missed this. I’m new to the community, and I hope you guys do another one because I would love to donate!!!❤
This is so amazing, I am so happy this committee can pull together to get something like this done.
