This so interesting because I have not been successful with blood drawn from a PIV, but we use a syringe rather than a vaccuum. I want to try that to see if it makes a diff

How do you know you have wasted enough with the vaccutainer?
When would you release the tourniquet if youre doing several tubes? Also why is it nececary to waste one first?
