- Despite it being a more than decade old car, the Volkswagen Polo is still the best in terms of performance. In its decade old life span, it may not have gone through any significant exterior or interior changes but it surely has received multiple engine options. The one we drove is a 1.0-litre TSI engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. You also have an option to opt it with a 6-speed torque converter, review of which is still pending. But we promise it will be up soon.

Love my 2020 Polo GT! Do not consider the fact that Polo is over a decade old as a bad thing! Its a great thing because its proven! The car does what it is expected to do and provides all necessary functions like Auto dimming IRVM. Cruise Control. Rain Sensing Wipers. Great 195/55 R16 tyres. One of the most fluid touchscreen infotainment system. Footwell lamps. Dashboard is bigger than even Sedans with a lamp inside. Amazing build quality. The looks are so good even though its old. I LOVE this car.
After seeing this review I feel like buying a polo AGAIN! my present polo is 4 years old and I sooo love it!

Or is gadi k features se phle mujhe iska classy look pasand Aa gya. Or 2011 model liya tab se aaj tak mere pass ye gadi h or honestly jo drive experience deti h. Comfort or trust. We have the 1.2L Polo 2012 model and crossed 140,000 kms but still no issues whatsoever!

2012 1.2 TDI 1.1 LAKH KM..NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER.. But had to sell it because of the 10 year NGT rule. exchanged it for a TSI AT .. This one is a powerful beast with an engine that actually growls :)

I think it is a negative point rather than a positive one.
I bought this beast 2 months back. Its comfortline TSI manual
In city traffic you can easily drive this car without changing much gears , 2nd gear sweetly revs till 50 you can rev even more. Honestly its rev friendly :D
(if you want better mileage then change gears at 2000rpm)
The "turbo lag" is not that much , (I have driven other hatchbacks and IMHO they aren't very responsive as well, btw swift has good pickup) , coming back to polo press the gas wait for 1-2 seconds and after 1900 rpm it literally "Launches" and all you can do is SMILE(you can see Yogi ... ).
Coming to old exterior and interior : it still looks classy (IMO) , and interior's build quality is better than other hatchbacks and even few compact SUVs (Yogi also said that). I wish it had : reverse camera , more rear seat space

One more feature all reviewers forget about is the fact that the windows are UV resistant with a green tint which doesn't let the car get too hot. Also, all windows are one touch up down!

Bhai TSI manual ki City average kya aati hai, if properly driven within 2000-2200 RPM. Also maintanence cost. I want to buy TSI manual but confused, as i want atleast 15-16 in City

I bought vw polo 1.2 tdi 2011 its been almost 11 years Still drives like a new brand .....bought a taigun and t roc recently .....never ever used any other brand in these years...perfect cars

Actually, the Instrument lock at 80kmph is a safety feature to restrict drivers from using them while at high speed.
Though, I use it to my advantage of focusing only on enjoying and feel the high speed ride.

Just that would want to clarify the 80kmph speed display at 14:43 is actually a warning signal only. This can be reset to another speed or disabled completely. Actual speeds even higher than 80kmph will then be displayed..

14:30 As per my knowledge it is just trying to tell you that you have crossed your set speed limit and you should lower your speed. You may also here beep sound when you hit 80kmph.
What you can do is change set speed to 100 or say 120 kmph, than same thing will happen again at that set speed limit.
Fundamentals are fundamentals and VW Polo nails them all.

Much better than polo if you go for diesel , only handling quality is little low than polo .

If going for petrol then definitely polo if you can live with the backseat. I test drove both. The noise insulation is far better in Polo. And i felt the overall quality is also pretty good. The infotainment system too gives you apple carplay and android auto options.

The only car which came close was FIGO. And let me tell you, FIGO had more accuracy and feedback to its steering. The TDCi was absolute gem.

Doesnt matter how many new generations other competitors may bring but if those new generation car cant beat Polo in terms of driving, stability, handling, driving dynamics, etc. Because car is only meant for driving and that is its first duty and new generation cant beat it then I would say VW gave us the better product 10 years ago which other competitors not giving in their new generation cars. What you are referring as digital speedometer is actually the speed limit warning system ...you set a speed like 80 kmph in your car and it will beep when you cross 80 kmph ...digital speedometer is also there which has no speed limit set..it will show as per actual speed.

Handling is unbelievable.
Check the MID settings. My Polo speedometer doesn’t stuck at 80kmph. In fact I have seen 169kmph on it.

Speedometer me apko uski speed set karni padegi ki kitni speed tak aapko speed dikhni chahiye vaha tak vo dikhayega . Vaha pe ok button press kar ke up down se aap speed set kar sakte ho. I have polo gt tsi 2019
Not possible with BS6 VW. This was application for BS4 cars.
