Hi Tommy (From Halifax Yorkshire) just want to say that you provide the YTPC with the most laid back, humourous and very informative chats / reviews. Looking forward to catching you on the next one. Cheers Tom.
Haha geee thanks for the nomination! No but really, I appreciate it. I enjoyed your list a lot, I have not tried most of the blends you mention but Highland sliced is a phenomenal tobacco. What a shame they stopped making it! I will definitely try to make a video happening with my list soon. Hope you are well. Emil
Haha sorry for the nomination, I always dread having to nominate but I thought it’d be interesting to hear yours, but of course I’ll understand if you’re too busy 😉😊 Take care my friend, Tommy
Hi Tommy, Highland Sliced, unless another blender produced a tobacco to that name, then that would have been my very first smoke back in 1968 {I think?}, it took me a while to tame the beast {or did it tame me?}, but then it became a regular treat, until that is my local B&M shut down. Superb selections on the tobaccos. Keep Well, Steve.
Its an honour to be so high up your list of nominations, I'll try and get the video done soon, I'll have to re-think my over the counter blend though after your attack on clan at the end, but there's no accounting for taste I guess
Aye Up Tommy Lad Great choices there, and that NB Pipe is Bloody Fantastic 👍👍 I have yet to try any of the Peretti Blends, and Dark Fragrant. I am to busy smoking my CLAN 🤣🤣
Just cracked open a jar full of 2014 Dunhill Flake - the years have been very kind to that blend. It wasn’t my favourite thing in the world when fresh but it is really something now.
Great choices, I have not tried or unlikely to try the highland slices (shame it is no more) but the Dark fragrant is somthing I’m definitely going to order so thanks for that. Great video 😊👍
Great vid Tommy. Wonderful choices and very unique. I've been lucky enough to try highland slices and remember loving it. If you ever want to do a trade for something hard to get let me know.
This question has got hee-haw (that’s a polite Scottish way of saying fuck all) to do with this vid, but I was watching your pith helmet and you mentioned a new carver - Aidan Hesselwood? - and I was wondering if you could let me know where he sells his stuff. That was a great interview by the way although I do think you owe Phil a doing for slagging of yer home town! All the best man, Andy.
Eyup Andy mate! Yes, he’s on Instagram under the handle of; @h_pipes_england If you fire him a message on there he’ll tell you what he has/how much a commission will be. Haha cheers mate, it was good fun chatting with them both, got caught off guard when they asked for a story though, couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t either completely profane or scatalogical - I’ll have to just go for it next time. Haha well Phil and I go way back so it’s fine, plus Halifax is a nonsense town on the best of days so 😂 Take care buddy!
Great video...thanks for the tip on the Rattrays. 👍

If I had to pick one blend for the rest of my days it would be sliced dark twist RM. What an amazing smoke it is.
I was quite impressed with your line up......
Hey up ol mate! 😉 That sea urchin pipe is a work of art! 👏👏👏👏 Dark Fragrant sounds like a must try 😋😋👍👍
Dark Fragrant is an absolutely delicious blend! Loved it, really really special blend. To me it tastes a bit like red wine. Good choices, mate.
Thank you for doing this Tom...now have to get myself some Rattrays Dark Fragrant...great people to pass the baton on to👍
Highland Slices sounds like is was a good blend, mate - sad to see 'em go...

Ahhh Highland sliced. That one, Peter Stokkebye Irish slices and the E A Carey clone were all good.
I just bought a tin of Dark Fragrant because of this video.
I hope it was worth it 😅
