    Love your studio. I too am organized and clean I feel like you honor the studio when you keep it up. Your studio I could see having a cup of tea and just watching you work all day. Thank you for showing us your studio.

      You've got me completely! My mum comes and sends a day with me, sat at my slab roller with a cup of tea just watching! I do feel like I respect my studio more when it's so clean and organised. You hit the nail right on the head! Thankyou

    You are the Queen of organising, but it is essential when one is dealing with a smaller space. I am guessing the behemoth slab roller came in bits, otherwise it would have been a mission to get it up the stairs. I am so glad I asked your advice on the wheel, I love it. Kay x

      Lol, don't know about the Queen of organising, but I am a little obsessed! Lol yes the slab roller came in pieces and we built it, but the stairs have been a challenge bringing big items in. Takes a lot of too'ing and fro'ing, and breathing in! The kiln had to be separated from the frame to get in too. Super pleased your happy with the wheel choice. I love mine, the power, the quietness, well everything about it lol

    My gosh Jeanette!! I knew of course that your studio would be really organized but wow! You have literally used every dang spot for storage but the ceiling!! I loved seeing things your dad and son made you! My dad made things for me as well as my children and I cherish them. I am absolutely going to use your idea of hiding things behind curtains and boards!! What a fantastic idea. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us. It’s just perfect! I have different areas that I use for specific things rather than one studio and they aren’t anywhere near this organized but you gave me so many great ideas!! The pegboard! How did I not think of that! And I have one ready to go in a frame that my dad made me! So excited to get that loaded up and organized. Thanks again.

      Lol thanks Michele. Now why didn't I look to the ceiling and found a way to maximise that space too! 😂
      It's forever evolving as I have new equipment or supplies but even I was surprised when editing this footage how much I'd managed to get into this space. 🤣 What am I going to do when there is no more wall space!!!! Lol

      @@FarForestCeramics You may have to use a different are to store things you don’t use very often but I am the exact same way you are, out of site out of mind. I have to use clear containers for everything. I can not wait to get some plastic sheeting to cover my unsightly messes underneath my work benches! It will make it look soo much nicer.

    23:00 I do the same. But with 3 posts so that it is more stable (just like loading a kiln). Actually, often I use just kiln stilts 😊

    • @FarForestCeramics

      Good idea, I did try it but with the size of the ware boards it actually felt more unstable with three surprisingly. Especially when the board was completely full, if that makes sense.

    I love the test tiles on your glaze bottles. Did you bend them to have the same curvature as the bottle? You attached them with those plastic tie wraps?

    • @FarForestCeramics
      @FarForestCeramics 4 месяца назад

      Hi Ann, yes when I make them I set them on the glaze tubs to adapt to the curve of the bottle or pot, makes them fit to the pots easier. I attach using floristry ribbon and sellotape. I've got reels on my Instagram showing how I make the tiles, set them and attach to the pots. I think they look cute as well as being uber practical lol
