Indigenous Collaboration Committee & Focus Indigenous win Minister's Award for Municipal Excellence

Lac La Biche County's Indigenous Collaboration Committee (ICC) and Focus Indigenous group have received a Minister's Award for Municipal Excellence (Partnership category) from Alberta Municipal Affairs.
The ICC's purpose is to help build and maintain positive relationships with neighbouring Indigenous communities and local Indigenous-led organizations. Focus Indigenous is an internal initiative to help County employees learn more about Indigenous peoples, cultures and issues in the spirit of reconciliation.
