Then, Ciel said that strong women is scary. That's why Lizzy start to act more girly, and like a weak girl who need to be protected. The fact that who said that is the real Ciel (who already died), while This Ciel in front of her is Ciel's twins brother is so irony. What would it be if that was the real Ciel? At the end, Lizzy never show her true self yet never said her true feeling to the real Ciel is so heartbreaking.😢
Also because societal norms in that time said ladies had to be weak, defenseless to be loved. So she played the role of a damsel in distress in order to fit in.
I was never an anti Lizzy, I just thought she was overall nice and her intentions weren't bad. This just made me think she was straight up badass. My queen 👑

That introduction of hers "The Wife of the Queen's Watchdog!!", and the way Lizzy just goes from the bubbly girl we all though she was to REAL Elizabeth Middleford... gets me every time. And her voice actress was utter perfection in her delivery of this crucial scene. From girly to badass in the ONE BREATH. Yukari Tamura is amazing.

All so he can collect his soul. And the love of his life is one Hell of a Weak Point. That's why I love this series.

Her mother even had to backhand her to get her to learn it. Lol It also didn't help that she took Ciel's past words to heart and thought Ciel would not like her once he found out she was as scary as her mother. Her sense of self worth heavily rides on her fiancé's approval because girls in her society are heavily taught to be so.

It's been years since I watched the anime and read the manga, and even with the manga's current events, I'm still rooting for them. Honestly speaking though, I highly doubt that these two will have a happy ending where they'll end up together, but I really really wish they, along with the other characters, will atleast have a decent ending.
