Wonderful explanation and demonstration, great idea having different colored shoes for each foot, really helped me visualize and understand the differences.

So interesting - thank you! Your commentary on the overturning made it even more fun 😊
Is the supporting leg usually the leg in front in ballet? Trying to get my head around en dedans & en dehors turns 😃 Great fun!

I always have a running commentary happening in my head , haha! So from fifth your supporting leg will be the leg in back for en dehors and in front for en dedans. Thinking turning away from supporting on en dehors and turning towards on en dedans. Let me know any other questions and I'd love to help!

@@TheWholePointe Ah cool, thank you so much for the info! ✨ Could you theoretically turn away from the supporting leg (en dehors) from 5th if it's in the front? 😃

Very, very dilletant. And the head ?? This is not an ice dance !! Why does someone who does not understand the profession want to teach at all?

Ah, I love a good ballet elitist comment. Can’t wait to see your video, you seem to have a delightful disposition!

Unfortunately, my current video is no longer worth watching because I am 68 years old. But I graduated from the Hungarian Ballet Institute / 9 years, Vaganova method / Then I also worked with Bejart in the Hungarian opera. Later I danced "Cats" in Vienna for 8 years / Gillian Lynne / I wasn't the best dancer in the world, but I know ,have to do a tour. :-))

@@laszlocsergezan4795 what a blessing to have such training and a beautiful career! I started ballet at 14 and was able to dancing professionally before having my children and teaching. I don't claim to be a prima but I do know what I'm talking about, am always continuing to learn, share what I've learned and care deeply for my students. I believe ballet should be available to everyone.
