My phone feels hot when I charge it on the BT3401. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Also, it’s slow when charging, is this normal too?

All depends on the consumption used, should take a few hours to fully charge.

the phone must have the wireless charge, the product must be plugged to a usb power source, and the phone will charge, if that is not happening then the unit could be defective

@@fishycomics I don't want to charge the phone. I mean charging the main device. When I connect it to the charger, it doesn't give me the red color on the back where the charger is. When I turn on the device, it says a little charging. Charge me like this.

Sorry to hear its not password protected and I am sure its. You and the unit and others can not connect to if you are already connected, correct
@@fishycomics I have figured a way to keep Bluetooth off wile not using it, just set on white noise and reduced the volume to zero, this way the clock timer still show and nobody connects
