They say you can never go home again. Please keep this up forever.
It will always be here 😀
REST IN PEACE LLOYD..glad u filmed the good old days
Look how amazingly large and beautiful that skating rink was!
miss this place before they renovated. i still remember that bridge going over the ice rink
Does anyone remember the old movie theater in the food court, and on the side of it the arcade center?
Chicken connection is surprisingly on of the last places that's still open, and one of the last places that has existed for over a decade now!
my mom remembers when lloyd center was open air. i spent so much time there and i get sense memory of being there around the holidays. i had been searching for a video that was old enough to capture what i remember. this did exactly that. thanks for uploading!
Had I known the mall's demise, I would have shot a lot more footage. Hindsight is 20/20.
wow, I have not seen Lloyd center in years, my first memories of L.C. go back to 1969 when I was a kid,its fun to see the changes but i''ll always have my memories of the good old days of L.C. growing up through the years,
i just went to lloyd center mall 3 days ago for a field trip and i didnt know that it was the biggest mall in oregon until i got inside
Wow I was just there yesterday... it's not the same at all, it's a shell of what it used to be.
Agreed. It's sad.
In my opinion i think this mall is the best one in the world
Oh man I love the LLoyd Center Mall. I have been there twice so far and wanna go back again. Lots of shops and food courts.Next time i`m there, I gotta ice skate, never done that before and would like to try it.
Not too many restaurants/store anymore.
They have closed the Lloyd Center Mall, I remember vividly getting a toy car with my mom when I was younger now it’s a ghost town with no one anymore… I will always cherish Lloyd center to the fullest
its actually not closed, its still open and the new owners are trying to bring it back! Hopefully they can do their best to restore it to its former glory! :D
i grew up in this mall lol
@DavePerry2012 I'm quite aware of Springfield being fictional, although you are missing the point. Portland was the idea central of which the idea of the Simpsons came from. Springfield is the name of a smaller town/ sort of area inside of the city of Portland in which the name came from. So in literal speak, the ideas in which constructed the Simpsons came from Portland.
Yes they have both.
The Largest Mall in Oregon is actually Clackamas Town Center. The Lloyd Center Mall is now Dying going to Close for Good Soon. Clackamas Town Center used to have a Ice Sinking Rink & then a Huge Remake over & placed Carousal & Cinemas there inside the Food Court.
ahh old times I went in that mall before all of this I'm not old I'm a kid
O man if you could see it now. I was in there last week and it is a dead mall. Like 3 food places open. And maybe 6 shops open. No anchor stores open. Its sad to see spent a lot of good times there.
The arcade and cinema are gone
It was pretty packed when I went there in 2005. I didn’t go there again until 2018, and it was pretty empty then. Amazon killed this mall.
i
@peaceandloveletsblow The simpsons is based of of portland ya' know!
@DavePerry2012 I see why you are confused sir. I placed "based" instead of a more specific and direct word. I'm aware that it's not based in Portland, Portlandia is however, lol. In other words, the idea's which brought the Simpsons show together came from Portland is what I meant to say, and the Springfield area in Portland. I'm not talking about the Town. For example, The St Johns area also known as N Portland or Smaller areas like Hawthorne in SE.
Rest in peace.
If they added a Round 1, it would have saved the mall like it did with the mall in Vancouver.
I shop there alot :)
this mall is my best friend
@Chawman HAHA!
byla sem tam je to tam krasny :-)
@DavePerry2012 You mean how I was born, raised, and still currently living in Portland? I know what I'm talking about, do some research please.
hahah you know what i mean =P
i wae here today
did you ever go back
Now a dead mall, about to be torn down.
