Unbelievable, they didn't award Ohio State a touchback (1:17). I remember screaming at Tressel to take a timeout and let them review the play. Cost them an undefeated regular season.
It definitely was a fumble. But watch again. OSU didn’t have possession of it when his right arm touched OB. Had he controlled it from when he first touched it it looked like he was still in and would’ve counted. But it clearly rolls under his stomach and at that pt his right arm is clearly out. Would’ve been Illini ball at the spot of the fumble.
@@chriscastillo4275 no lol cuz it wouldve been treated like a forward fumbe through the endzone since the buckeye defender make contact with the ball while touching the out of bounds line in the endzone. That wouldve been a touchback by rule. As for it costing OSU an unbeaten regular season... Well they still lose in the Natty to LSU regardless lololol
