      Hi David,
Perhaps you have confused ceiling insulation with underfloor insulation?? We are unaware of any underfloor insulation that is R6.4.
We definitely do not recommend installing any type of insulation alone. From an OH&S viewpoint, should something go wrong, either in the ceiling or under the floor, there would be no immediate assistance. In 20 years of installation insulation we have never had a crew member installing insulation alone. We are pleased that your installation was successful and safe.
      Cheers Team ecoMaster

I can tell you mice and rats rip holes in polyester insulation, there would be nothing that vermin wouldn't wreck

Thanks for your input. In 20 years of installing underfloor insulation, we have 3 incidents of rats with polyester insulation. that is more than 20,000 homes. All three incidents of rats getting into the polyester was because of installation issues. Correctly installed polyester insulation is the go to solution to prevent vermin.
