  • Dogs keep chewing old wooden fence and escaping from yard so installed an electric line to keep them from getting out and crossing the road.

that was good, they have to learn somehow. mine is wild and also because he is young 3yrs old. he wants to scape, don't want to stay in the yard. that's why i like female dogs less trouble. I am going to try this.

The testing part bite you a little bit there buddy.
I just acquired my daughters dog and it busted out of the rotten gate I’ve got.
The little toot was missing for 6 days.
I found him thanks to FB forums, scared and soaked to the bone by a pond about half a mile from the house.
    I’m surprised he survived.
I’m going to get all this equipment today and put it up tonight.
The “zap” may seem cruel to some people, but it’s a lot better than getting killed by a car or starving to death.

This can work to prevent cats from entering my yard, by running at the top of a fence.

Why couldn't she break the fence where the wire is insulated and underground?

Is it possible to run two polywires, about 10 inches apart, and is the fence energizer necessary or can go direct to outlet?

The energizer is an absolute must or you can have an electrocution hazard if connected straight to AC

Looking to do this as dogs keep digging under the fence and escape. What was the story with the concrete posts?

I am going to make a fence using the concrete posts. Anything made out of wood that touches the ground doesn’t last very long around here.

Added this, scarred the crap out of my dogs for a while. They still don’t go near the fence. I have about .5 acre fenced back yard and it took maybe 2 hours to install and less than $200.

Wish videos would be more straight forward. Who cares about trimming your grass or other nonsense

To be clear, grass and weeds that would touch the system and ground it out, leaches power from the system. It's an important step that needs to be shown to beginners. Also, do you have your own video posted demonstrating how to set up an electric fence for dogs? Would love to see your better version.
