Yay! ComFest,......51 years of music, arts, food and fun. I remember when the festival first moved down to Short North. It hadn't gone through the transformation of being nice and rebuilt. It was miles of closed businesses,.....every store front was boarded up, or falling down. Whole blocks of shops were caving in, their roofs sagging, the interiors were ransacked. Winos owned the streets day and night. They lived in the burnt out stores,....they peed in every doorway. Only a few stores remained. Local artists began renting the burnout stores, and turning them into art galleries, studios and performance spaces.
