Hi joe. I don't write the service manual. These are suppose to be copies of Stihl saws. These cases are different as the video points out. If you are asking will leaving the pins in and you crack the case open can it damage the case. Yes. I thought that was the point of the video. I try to help people make sense of all this. Do you need the dowel pins to properly assemble and run the saw or can you assemble it without them in the first place ?

Joe you can still get the pins out if you are in that position.
Where do I find the models with the magnesium case? The Huztl site does not delineate but the pictures seem to be plastic.
