Super helpful, thank you, Annie! I think I was trying too hard the first time & gave up pretty much a long time ago, but I'm determined this time & to keep it simple.
Thank you for this; I know it is 2 years old, but I just started reading the THM book and it is so overwhelming and hard, but your video REALLY helped a ton! How is it going now?
Thanks for this. Trying to wade through the book was a serious overload. Now I can breath, try to figure out one meal a day and continue working on the book. I feel like I can start now before I figure it all out.
Just getting back into THM and loved your video! Subscribed because I just liked you so much lol and people are always asking that at the end of videos so it must be helpful (although I'm happy you didn't mention it :) Looking forward to diving back into THM after baby 4!
I have been playing with THM for over 3 years! For some reason I just feel a huge road block for doing it completely! I have adopted some of the tips and have all of the products on my shelf! HELP! I want to do it 100% and just feel paralyzed! I really enjoyed this video! It encourages me!
I’m just now seriously looking at THM for my regular diet for myself and husband and am interested in learning more about how to start the program. I have COPD, diabetes and congestive heart failure and must use a very low salt diet plan along with low carbs and alternative sweetness. Can you tell me if you have a plan that works for you? I’m looking for others with similar restrictions who make this plan work. Thank y’all
The Facebook groups are a great way to get more details and support from others that may have additional health requirements. I use THM as a tool in my life when I want to and carry out a few principles regularly. But I am not 100% THM, all the time. The books are the best source of information, and the website and podcast can also really help ☺️
Do you still do THM? Just found that and you. I bought Trim Healthy Table since it had the condensed explanation in it. Would you suggest getting the THM Plan book too or would the condensed info be enough?
I occasionally do THM, but not always. Mostly because I’m in a good place health wise and I don’t need to follow it to have a healthy lifestyle at the moment.
Oops- forgot to answer about the book. I would recommend getting the plan book eventually. It has so many more details and help. It would really benefit you on your own journey.
I have a hard time with the alternative flours from THM. It sounds like they taste the same as the regular stuff. But I’m finding that it doesn’t taste the same. If anyone else has this issue, I’d like to know what you did to make the adjustment.
The find the taste similar, but the texture of THM baked goods is completely different. So I just make a choice to eat them anyway or eliminate them completely and focus on other foods I do like on plan. 🤷♀️
I don't think they taste the same, and definitely don't have the same texture, so I had to just change the way I thought about it, and treat the recipes like an entire new kind of food (which it is!) And enjoy it for it's differences instead of trying to make it taste the same as something else. 🙈
Alternative flours don't taste the same. The texture is different. It is one of those things that you either get used to over time or you cut them out. I got hit with gluten/wheat intolerance about 1.5 years ago, so I cut out all of it. If I'm craving bread, I eat sourdough. There are some good alternatives, but it is really a personal preference in terms of taste and texture. It is the same with the sweeteners (which is a lot harder for me). Nothing really tastes the same. So it is either I find something that works over time or I need to just cut it out and rely on naturally sweet food if I have a sweet craving.
I read the book a few years ago, but I was WAY to overwhelmed to even start. I guess I gave up before I even tried. 🙈 I still want to try this, but I want to know I’ll be successful ahead of time. 😆 One question I can’t find answered in your video or in the book, is when do I know to have an E or an S meal? Does it even matter? Can I eat whichever one seems most appealing to me at that moment or is there a magic formula of how many E meals versus S meals I eat for this in order to make this plan work?
There is not a formula for S or E meals. You can eat them in any order/frequency especially at the beginning. Once the plan feels more natural you can start to play around with adjusting your meals based off what your body needs. Some people need more E’s than others, things like that.
I hope you research Healthy Mama sweeteners. I can't do stevia not any of the -trols sweeteners... They give me severe headaches. And they still trigger the sugar response in your brain, so it's looking for the calories and not finding them... So making you hungry. ... But otherwise it sounds like an awesome plan, I'm soo glad it's working for you. ❤🌅🌵
Dr Fung explains in his book “obesity code” that while Stevia (and other sweeteners) does not create a blood sugar response in that it doesn’t raise your blood sugar it does cause an insulin response which is the response in your brain to release insulin into your bloodstream. And insulin is the fat storage hormone. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get away from all things that taste sweet myself. Just looking into the THM lifestyle so thank you for this comment. I am thinking I can still do THM and start weaning myself from all sweeteners 😊
Thanks for this, it does seem overwhelming at first. I really like the idea of one meal at a time.
Wonderful advice. Thank you!
Great tips for getting started. Thanks for the encouragement!
Reading the book (again) after totally overthinking it the first few times I looked at it! I’m so glad you are doing these videos.
I’m glad you’re giving the method another look- it is so confusing or overwhelming at first 😩
You do an excellent job communicating and helping others to simplify the plan and succeed! Thank you!
Thank you so much for saying that ❤️
Super helpful, thank you, Annie! I think I was trying too hard the first time & gave up pretty much a long time ago, but I'm determined this time & to keep it simple.
It makes it… well.. simpler 😆
Thanks for the tips simple but not easy. Trying!
So glad I found you. Just started reading the plan book
Fun! Enjoy the new journey you are on ❤️
Your tips are really great for beginners. Thank you!

I continue to use a lot of the principles in my daily life, but I only follow the plan about 70%. It’s just a personal choice.
Thank you!! I have tried thm I love fancy pants chicken
And THM, cheesecake, and snickers shake!!!
Those sound delicious!

I’m glad it helped- we all seem to say that same thing at the beginning 🤪
Getting started on thm plus I follow you for tns
Thank you!!! This really showed me how to make lunch quick and easy!! Plz do a breakfast and dinner video too lol
I’ll add it to my list to get filmed before the end of the year ☺️

Congratulations on the new baby!

If the time is right, just go for it ☺️ Invest in yourself and take the plunge one meal at a time.
I’m looking into this lifestyle. My 83 year old mom told me about this “Trim Healthy Momma” diet .
It’s very healthy and effective ☺️
I'm so glad I chose your video. I don't like eggs or cheese and that has been the setback with other "diet" plans. I was on the fence. Tfs!
I’m so glad it helped ❤️❤️
Another awesome resource is the THM app to learn specific food fuel categorization. ❤️
Yes! I forgot to mention it 🤦🏼♀️
I didn't know about an app.
I'll look for it.
I have done THM, with success, before. I just couldn’t maintain the work...too much change at once I think. These are great baby step ideas.
Even I lost my way for a while and had to return to these baby steps recently 😩
I’m planning to get back on.
Would you please do a vid on on plan dressings, thank you 🤗💕
You should check out Pinterest and the cook books, that’s where I get all my ideas. Mostly I just use olive oil and balsamic vinegar on my salads.

Suzi SaintJames can you use monk fruit sweetener?

I’ve done THM several times and never found this to be true.
This introverted mom takes “lunch breaks” too! Usually with headphones. 😀
Amen! 😆
Why neutral yeast?whats the benefit? I've tried thm it works but I get lazy with preparing then fall off the wagon. 😒
It’s in the books- the health benefits of nutritional yeast. Plus it is delicious!
Where can I find the first part ?
What is the book that you talk about Annie?
Found the first part.
The Trim Healthy Mama Plan, it’s linked in my Amazon faves ❤️
