In the center of a round mirror whose shape echoes the diaphragm of a camera, Daniel Blaufuks writes the words "Perpetual Camera". The mirror-work is activated when the visitor stops in front of it to look at himself, or to take a picture of himself. "Perpetual Camera" was originally conceived to be presented at the Paris Photo fair, questioning the very common behavior of visitors who inevitably take pictures of themselves in front of "mirror works". "Perpetual Camera" is thus likely to perpetually produce images as it passes by, echoing the work "Take Your Photograph" (2020) also presented at the gallery entrance in FREE LUNCH exhibition.

According to Milton Friedman, “There’s no such thing as a free lunch”. In other words, a free meal is an illusion as the recipient always ends up paying a price.
FREE LUNCH, originally scheduled for the gallery's booth at Paris Photo 2020, presents a collection of works which all question the generation, circulation and politics of images today, and for which being free of charge, being given, is a very consequence of their nature. FREE LUNCH is an exhibition of works that are entirely offered to the visitors, for free.
