I've been saying this! In greek mythology, the Santorini eruption destroyed Atlantis. However, in game Atlantis is already destroyed, due to a Volcano. Which Volcano? Roslit. And the NPC's are talking about another doomsday, Roslit magma is rising again, so It's most likely going to erupt again.
Some also talk about the world being split in two. Eruptions cause earthquakes, maybe an earthquake from roslit erupting will occur, making a split somewheres creating the Marianas trench

Santorini did not destroy Atlantis, Atlantis existed way before Plato's time and Santorini erupted in 1600 BCE, a big time gap.
the lore of the game is honestly pretty solid, considering its a roblox game. The hints dropping and the small weekly updates culminating in updates like atlantis is honestly a pretty cool strategy to keep fisch players hooked in it´s slightly repetitive gameplay.

cool theory and idea for the update:
The Mariana's Veil is going to be a timer like the Atlantis update in grand reef, except its going to be a crack somewhere in the ocean, kind of far from the other islands. The Roslit volcano is gonna be full with magma at this time. Above the crack, a boat will be found with 2 NPC's on it. The Tidebreaker, Super Flippers, and the Advanced Diving Gear will be found on the boat next to one NPC. The other NPC stands near the edge of the boat with a notebook and a pencil in hands. When interacting with him, he's gonna say a few things about the crack in the ocean and the volcano. After talking to him, a cutscene will play (not server sided) showing the Roslit Volcano erupting with giant ash clouds above it. The scene then cuts to the crack in the ocean, emitting clouds of dust before opening up the Mariana's Trench.
The Mariana's trench is gonna be like the northern expedition, but underwater going downwards. There will be checkpoints on the way to the bottom of the trench, each checkpoint having their own airspace and a decently sized body of water of deep sea fish. They all share a bestiary however, the Mariana's Trench or the Mariana's Veil. On the way to the bottom, hints of coral reefs and other underwater things are found, but the main thing you will see are holes on the walls of the trench. these holes look like big pathways made by the leviathan. Every 30 seconds, the leviathan will go through the pathways, acting like a moving train, and ramming into anyone who swims in its path. Once you reach the bottom, there is a leviathan-made pathway. After you make it through the pathway, swim up to find the Watery Abyss, with the lighting being a bit brighter and having more new fish to catch.
The place has similar looks to the Kraken Pool. A server-wide message announces "There has been a Leviathan spotted in Mariana's Trench (or Mariana's Veil)! Leviathan spawns in the middle of the water. Catching it gives a cutscene, and only one is catchable during this event. Minimum kg. is 55k, maximum kg. is 150k.
There's gonna be someone dressed as chicken little and as soon as the volcano erupts, he's gonna say "THE SKY IS FALLING"

FR I use to play fishing simulator and I started playing fisch and I was like NO AQUARIUMS
Nyx also talks about an entity which is more dangerous than thr kraken, he says that entity is even untouched by gods

It was originally thought to be about the Atlantis entrance, but Mariana makes so much sense

New updates is fine, but I wish I will be able to see and fish the Kraken before the new stuff is up. Is the atlantis puzzles fixed yet? Fixed jumping puzzle and easier/redesigned coop puzzle? Is the new rods fixed? Is the new fish fixed? (half of them would not display with certain mutations)

Roslit volcano lava level rises slowly up till the point where the volcano erupts causing the whole of roslit or at least part of it to be wiped out and replaced by the Mariana Trench.
8:08 Alright so hear me out here, they make a Desolate Deep exotic, and the exotic would be a giant submarine that could be a mount/boat or could be some quest item to help you get a submarine mount/boat.

MASSIVE THEORY [1/3]
If we take a look back to the 2 ciphers the developers sent on the 3-image leak, the first one translates to "All lights shine to Zeus!", pretty normal, right? But the second one translates to "Are we approaching the end? No, not yet, but soon the trench will crack, and Armageddon will begin." Armageddon from Hebrew Bible states that it's the final battle between good and evil. So if the Trench cracks open, Armageddon will begin and whatever gigantic creature resides in there, we have to fight (or fish) it.

I'm thinking that the Leviathan is the EXACT creature we're getting, why? Because the Leviathan is something only God can control (and Nyx NPC states even gods cannot control it). Another thing is Job 41:1, 9 states "Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook? ... Any hope of subduing it is false; the mere sight of it is overpowering." Now I know that sounds very Fisch-like, but I'm theorizing we're not fighting Leviathan with a normal rod, rather, maybe an evolved version of the Heaven's Rod (relating to the Heavens/God) or even the Seraphic Rod (Seraphims are the angels closest to God). God must slay Leviathan at the "end of time" (the phrase means that God must slay Leviathan in order for all chaos and sin to be gone and life can be reborn anew) and people can feast on it.

Now this is the spicy part, the volcanic eruption of Roslit Volcano might cause a massive earthquake, where it'll cause a "subduction" in the ocean floor to form (or reveal) Mariana's Trench (if you didn't know, the way trench forms is with the process of subduction, where tectonic plates gets pushed beneath each other). Since the update is clearly named "Mariana's VEIL", it's suggesting that it's hiding something ("Veil" means something that covers or hides something), and it could be the Leviathan, why? Because in Hebrew Bible, the Leviathan represents chaos and evil itself, and why did Atlantis fall? Because of greed, a sin, and evil actions of dominion over other lands. The description for the update states that the trench will unVEIL the dark secrets of the Atlantis from long ago.
This is just my first theory yet, I've theorized way more than this. And Carbon, if you ever see this, please read the entire thing, thanks.

But how are we gonna get down there without being crushed by the immense pressure? Even with a water bubble from a literal mermaid, the bubble would be crushed in an instant. We may need help from the few people who actually managed to make it down into the trench by swimming only and what they used to make it possible

Since its official that fisch has greek mythology, (atlantis, the 12 gods etc) it may be, that typhon is next, a "monster the gods never dared to touch" in which typhon could be the candidate for this due to typhon beating the gods before he was trapped under mt etna, WHICH roslit may be the replacement of, so the "end" might be, typhon being released from mt etna
My guess for the bestiary on the Mariana Veil is based on the Twilight or Midnight Zone we're light can never be penetrated with it's unique gimmick would be a some kind of a new light source that allows to light on the direction u faced or a glowstick,it would also be a good new event we're a certain amount of time their will be raining snow with a twist of a prehistoric abyssal marine wild life,more fossils to fish with a good mix of Subnautica's atmosphere and vegetation :)

ive said this publicing in the fisch gc, after the atlantis update this one npc in atlantis said a volcano explosion way back before and we are lucky or sum like that. then i noticed roslit volcano rose. its either going to be the next major update or another nessie event. if it is, cant wait to see you lose another one of the new fish like the frostwhale.

the kraken is an ancient animel that was talked and jailed in the greek mythology it destroyed buildings and killed 100s of thousands of people and we know that because the one who created the kraken was hades the ruler of the underground that was legit the way to enter to the kraken with the wheel and it was used in the great battle of titans witch is a story for another day 2:38 but now another fish that could be the case is Mariana snailfish witch is a really cool fish and make sense with the picture and the Levithan is an option too because of the past of it and it is in the Book of Isaiah its pointing the isrealy and Jewish people as like him and as enemys as the animal and in Jewish mythology its just a primordial sea serpent like kraken

To get to ancient isle I go east with the compass thing and south west for grand reef, but now they are completely different directions, Did anyone else notice this?

After the update, (or the leading updates) there is almost definitely gonna be an eruption event/, what it does, idk but here are some ideas:
- it increases scorched chances
- it puts like 3-7 rocks in the ocean that create mini lava areas or hot springs that have their own fish.
• there could be a special rod that only one of the rocks spawn with.
- has its own mutation like charred or something (3.5x)
- molten banshee may become eruption exclusive.
- maybe it spawns a fish (like maybe the leviathan) that can only be caught during this
- if it got a totem the cost would heavily depend on how long it lasts.
Idk this is if there is an event like this.
(I am talking abt an event like zeus storm and poseidon’s wrath

Hear me out,but they could make Cthulhu a boss that you have to defeat with other people and itll spawn randomly when people is fishing and the whole server will have to fight Cthulhu and the only way we can defeat him is using glimmerfins boat (which will be given to a random player)
The volcano has erupted which means that there could be a split or bubble and seeing that the oil rig is there I know that Oil rigs dig for oil and sometimes they can drill through bubbles which make a catastrophe but what if this bubble is huge and is actually the Mariana veil? This is the only theory I could think of considering that there’s a random oil rig with this game.

I have a theory that there will be an boss, after defeating him we will either get to a new location (in this case he will be like a guard in a new location)or it can be caught in a new location as a regular exotic

My theory is if the volcano explodes and the mariana trench truly has a leviathan, i think that leviathan might be the Cthulhu and the cthulhu might be the reason the volcano is erupting because its waking up or something and wants to wreak havoc troughout the world of fisch escaping trough the mariana trench and we'd have to imprison the cthulhu by helping the gods to banish the cthulhu back to the mariana trench and we can catch it as a secret fisch or sum.
I think its gonna be a big EXPLOSION not eruption and we will no longer hav the RV but the Roslit magma chamber what will work just like RV and i really wish that we get a sick cut scene when the update drops

Hi Carbon, I’m having a issue on mobile and im wondering if you can do anything about it. I have set my spawn inside of Atlantis, Every time I try to leave Atlantis I instantly crash and then logged out the game, I first thought it was a glitch but it’s been happening every time I’ve tried to leave Atlantis, I know that some other people that are also having the same problem, they crash every time they try to leave Atlantis, I don’t know if it’s just my device, or if it’s just too much for my device to handle, so I’m hoping theirs Something you can do about this so I and other players can play the game normally again.
