Prof Rendani Mbuvha is a qualified Actuary (Chartered Entreprice Risk Actuary) and an Associate Professor in the School of Actuarial Science and Statistics at Wits. He is a fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa and previously worked as an Actuary for Milliman and the Absa group, and as an Actuarial Analyst for Discovery Health. Prof Mbuvha is a Non-executive director at Bidvest Life, an Honorary Senior Research Associate at University College London, a Fellow in Machine Learning in Queen Mary University of London. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (University of Johannesburg), MSc in Machine Learning (KTH Royal Institute of Technology) and a BSc honours in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Statistics (University of Cape Town).
