I’m going to be riding solo about 12000km around the whole of Southeast Asia bar Vietnam this August on a second hand 110cc wave, it’s great to see another person doing the same thing my whole family think I’m nuts, I’m 19 but this gave me a lot more confidence
That will be awesome! Just take it slow. Do reasonable distances and keep on top of your tyre pressures and the condition of your chain. Check the oil especially after long hard days on the road. Have fun!
Great video guys, watched it sitting here in Singapore. I've been to many of those spots and ridden around Malaysia, so I will have to try into Thailand now. Also loved the Lazer Kiwi flag. I'll look out for some of those stickers and for the next ride announcement! 🥝
Glad you had fun. It's actually incredibly easy to plan a trip like this. It's not a 'round the world' thing or even close. I've spent a lot of time in those countries and while you have to make adjustments, its not hard replicate such a trip.
@@GiveWayMotovlog crossing the border is difficult with rented bikes. Generally border crossings are only possible with the bike in your name and original ownership papers or a special certified document of permission from the owner. Both of those things require a visit to a government office, so why not just do the option that guarantees a border crossing? Plus the experience was a good time for us. Ultimately you would also be hard pressed to find anyone that would rent bikes to go long distance in Malaysia. Most want them to stay within their city. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Chaps, helluva ride. Makes me want to ride my 155cc scooter across the border myself - something I’ve been yearning to do a while now here in Malaysia. Anyways, for your next trip, might I recommend a tour or Malaysia’s other side? North Borneo is another gem on its own and, I assure you, it’ll be a proper adventure too, minus the border crossings.
Greeting from the South Island (NZ) . Great trip guys. Riding in South East Asia rocks. Riding (amongst other things) the most underrated small cc 2 wheeler in NZ, a GSX 150 (70.000 km) I can relate to your riding (less is more). Was shocked to see and read that 'NEAL was intentionally hit off his bike by a grazy driver in NZ '...what's the story about that. Would be perhaps helpful to know the details to be able to avoid similar situation in the future. Cheers. Have fun.
Thanks so much for watching! Neal was commuting in Auckland city and just got chased down by a crazed driver - thinking he was out of the way of the driver we went to continue his commute but they caught up and rode straight into him. Going through the courts now I believe.
…very good video&stuff for #moped/ #lowdisplacement/ #smallboreengine adventure riding fans. hopefully it could be presented in at least four parts although going back to the resume mode is not much of a problem…
Thanks for watching! If you want to see it in parts, click on the channel and you'll see it was split into 6 parts for people that prefer watching a shorter length.
That’s not the case. I know the exact numbers from the dealer. Our friend was just the person to help in the middle. We sold all the bikes to one location in a bulk deal and we were very happy with the choice. Even if he did sell for more and make 30% profit, so what? It’s really not that much money overall. Everyone deserves $$$ here or there.
If you want to see the old 2019 trip; watch here: ruclips.net/video/jgUa3fOwXZA/видео.html
Welcome so SEA the small displacement king 😂, absolutely love ur vids man, im into it
Honestly the comments on this video are what makes it all worth while. Haha. Thanks for watching it mate.

@@SmallBikeStuff Only thing I'd suggest is to up the bike a bit from the Wave, maybe a 160cc or similar. Buying a Thai built bike is really cheap.
40 minutes in and really enjoying this. I am here from the Facebook group/page/something from there. Awesome.
Wicked stuff thanks for joining here buddy. I checked out your stuff too! Nice going. Keep at it.
@@SmallBikeStuffMuch appreciated. Will do.

Thanks for watching mate!

Exactly! Hardest part is booking the ticket - once thats done the rest will follow.
I wanna visit there someday too. Thank you for this amazing tour we too sure had fun.
Thanks for watching. It's a great place to travel!
How about q&a with all the guys about the trip..
Great minds think alike! I'll be releasing my own Q&A shortly then getting the guys involved.
What an awesome adventure. I hope to do something like this one day. You’re living the dream.
Thanks so much for watching! Hope you stick around and watch some of the future videos. Appreciate it!
Thanks. watched the whole video. wanna do smth similar./
wondered why did you not consider renting instead of buying bikes?

Were the bikes equipped with tubeless tires or with the regular tubes? Is it better to ride long distance with regular tubes?
Tubeless - but to repair we took tubes. Quick and a certain fix on the roadside.

That looks fun! 😍
It seriously is!

Next time... Can I recommend the island of Borneo (Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei)? Much more of a challenge.
Yes please! This trip was decided by constraints around time - but there are endless locations I'm, keen to see!
Lepas ni boleh travel dari malaysia ke sempadan china vietnam burma
Yes! So many countries you can continue to visit after Thailand. It would be fun to explore this area for 1 year!
hell yeahh!!..welcome to malaysia,
Thanks mate! Enjoy the video.
So how much did the bikes cost to buy?
Between $800-1200 NZD each

Welcome to Thailnad🇹🇭🙏
Thank you so much!
What is the bike at 6:46 ?!? I want 2 of them!!!
Thats a Honda Wave but set up for dirt riding.
You guys are insane, but cool
I’ll take that! Thanks so much for watching. Cheers for the comment.
It's really hard to see that "the friend" is actually the one who will easily make 30% profit of your bikes.

I was happy to accept any money so I didn’t have to deal with selling the bike by other means before rushing to the airport.
The value of friendship is way more than the 30%
