Hey dude! I'm a game dev as of 7 years or so, and I have a couple recommendations you can ignore or keep in mind: First, juice. In bullet hells, juice is EVERYTHING. Slap on all the post processing you can. Camera shake, camera position lerping, particle systems EVERYWHERE, bloom and lighting, as many parallax layers as possible, and multiple ambient particle systems can alone bring a game from looking "off" to looking beautiful and polished. Second, you should choose at least one unique mechanic for your game. What makes it unique? What makes your game stand out mechanically from other games? I think you could do a lot with movement systems, since your character has one wing. What else, though? Most importantly, don't give up or restart! You can look into the fresh start fallacy, but it's a trap most indie devs fall into many times. I hope this helped! I'd love to see the end result of this game! Keep up the good work!
You seem to be putting a lot of effort and love for detail into your animations, and seem to have a knack for story telling, this deserves a lot more views! It's also very impressive how organized both of you are working on this project at this age and I hope you'll keep pushing each other forward on this! Very glad RUclips randomly recommended me this video and I'm looking forward to your videos and game!
yeah i know how u feel, trust me it'll come, sometimes you just need to push yourself, because waiting for motivation doesn't always work, but do take breaks. I wish you luck.
Dang, the time traveling part was cool. i was a small gamedev, i develop 2 indie gameboy homebrew horror games for 2 game jams: Kenney Jam 2024, and GBJam 12. May you shall get more subscribers. Plus, i was 16 too ❤❤❤
morse code at the end is: "RIFT BETWEEN TWO WORLDS DETECTED IM TRYING TO SAVE YOU D O N K E E S" not sure what the last bit is meant to be, could be an error. could be forgetting something. could also be foreshadowing. dunno.
Awesome video man!!! I hope your game will blow up upon launch because it looks really promising within its infancy phase. Any planned release date or is it uncertain so far?
I have been wanting to learn coding so badly but I have ADHD and everytime I try to learn I instantly stop doing it. Guys? I need tips please? I also hold alot of ambition with my ideas.
Maybe try watching really short tutorials at a time so that you can give more focus into one video, and just try doing gamedev in short sessions. Maybe you could try working on your game a little longer every two days. Hopefully this is a good tip and I wish you luck.
@ I will try this, Thanks man. I will just search up specific parts of gamedev and maybe that will help. I was planning on doing modding for Terraria, And Indie development overall. And maybe I can show one of my ideas at a later time for you! If you ever wanna hear mine of course. (People say my story-telling is really good.)
Me and porger have a gigantic Milanote project we use to organize everything from youtube to the burrow. I also have a massive google calendar and google tasks as well as a few notebooks at home, but Milanote is what I mainly use and I'd highly recommend it, the free version is amazing.
My biggest tip would be to watch lots of tutorials, then make a really simple game, e.g: a square that can move. Then just keep challenging yourself, watch more tutorials and ask questions.

What programs do you use to organize your game? I.e the game script/tree the todos?
