yes, if you look at the behind the scenes, josh drummed with real fire. react to the live version at fox theatre or during the trench era cause it’s amazing live. i’ve experienced it live so i’m saying from experiencw
Nastassia Pukelik same i saw it during ERS 2016 and in the Bandito Fall leg and both were phenomenal i cant decide which i like better but probably ERS because the hanging mic and skeleton hoodies and red and black all just looks so good.
MGLBRT the beginning and connection from levitate was amazing at the live version during bandito tour. i can say that the fire almost burned my face off
The ‘Gangstas don’t cry therefore therefore I’m Mr. Misty-Eye’ line is kinda saying the opposite actually. I’m acting cool and tough but I’m crying regularly so... I guess my ‘gangsta’ name is Mr. Misty Eye (because there are often tears in them).
It's a prop, it's NOT the car used in the video. You couldn't use a real car in a venue indoors. One fire code wouldn't allow it, two, there would be too much residual plastics, paints, and lubricants that would give off toxic fumes. The fires on stage are from professionally done pyrotechnics using gas flames.
@@ffjsb I think we know it wasnt the car, or at least the original commenter does. by "they have the car on the stage on fire" they mean that the car on stage is on fire, not "the car from the video is on fire on the stage"
He doesnt want to be categorized at all, their music does not follow any genre. They prefer to be free in what they create rather than having to stick to a genre. Try “trees live with speech”.
To go with the meaning of this song in what I hear is that the quiet is where the voices and “dark side” get you. The quiet is where your mind wrecks yourself the most. @crown family
In the second verse, he's mocking people that say things like "you only live once," calling them zombies. It's a generic, overused, phrase that takes no thought. It's something Captain Obvious from the travel commercials would say. That's why after those few generic phrases that the "zombies" might say, "one time to figure it out, one time to twist one time to shout, one time to think," with "and I say we start now." - It continues the theme of wanting people to think for themselves and use their creativity. Think back to Car Radio, "And to be awake is for us to think And for us to think is to be alive And I will try with every rhyme To come across like I am dying To let you know you need to try to think."
His heavydirtysoul is his depression. This is from the album "blurryface", and blurryface is a character he created to personify his mental illness. To give it a seat at the table, and a face. You'll notice his hands and neck have black paint on them as well, showing the things he's most insecure about. His writing and his voice.
I’ve always interpreted the line gangstas don’t cry therefore I’m mister misty eyed as basically he’s saying he wants to be cool and tough and not show his emotions hence the metaphor “gangster” but he is realizing that he was wrong hence the “‘mister misty eyed” line stating that his vision was clouded by thinking that, and that truth everyone has emotions, “gangsta” or not
With the “not rap not hip hop” line means that they can’t be categorized. They are all different kinds of music. They do sad songs. They do screamo. They do ukulele. They have been compared to schizophrenic pop and ukulele screamo lol. Edit: the next twenty one pilots song you should do is jumpsuit, levitate (which the end music from Jumpsuit is the beginning of levitate), Nico and the niners, bandito, leave the city. This is a follow up album to blurryface (their 2015 album with “heavydirtysoul”. The two albums connect) what those 5 songs are is called “the trench trilogy” it’s really interesting and I love it. I will walk you through in the comments section as you react to the videos. :) #crownfamily
As the edit, the entire album is part of a story, not just those.. The trench trilogy is the music videos for Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, and Levitate while the songs themselves are all in order on the alum tracklist, just for clarification.
By listening to the other lyrics in that part that isn’t why he says that, the line is “this is not rap, this is not hip hop, just another attempt to make the voices stop, Rappin to prove nothin just writin to say somethin..” and so on, meaning he has so much he wants to say and rapping is the only way for him to get everything out in a song, Tyler always has a lot to say and if he didn’t rap most of it, it probably would make the song twice as long
Now continue in this order: *Jumpsuit* *Nico and The Niners* *Levitate* FYI: Heavydirtysoul is their first song on the album 'Blurryface' and the story continue on Jumpsuit, which is their first song on the album 'Trench'. (More than a year apart) *Heathens* is also somewhat connected to the order, might be before Heavydirtysoul.
@@lucytaylor8010 Yes, the audio from Jumpsuit to Levitate is connected. But if you watch Nico and The Niners, the ending (where Tyler is with the bandito and having yellow tapes sticked to him walking at the cave), it connects straight to Levitate. So therefore, the order of the MV is Jumpsuit - Nico and The Niners - Levitate.
Gangsters don't cry means, to me, that someone with a tough reputation can't wear their heart on their sleeve. Gotta stay tough. Or at least appear to be.
"This is not rap this is not hip hop...." He thinks too fast and has a lot of things he wants to say. The only way to get all his thoughts out is to say them out fast coz there is so much to say.
Legitimate fire my dude, saw them live last October, they had a car on fire on stage to reference this video and yeah, holy crap, they do indeed go all out
Hey you gotta watch Lane Boy, Levitate, Ride, Migraine, Morph, My Blood, could jusy keep listing the songs. I like your authentic reaction. keep it up man
"gangsters don't cry, therefore I'm Mr. Misty eyes" means that he isn't a gangster because he cries a lot, even though I think a lot of people hear rap and automatically think "oh, that's a gangster" but he's just letting his feelings out is what I get from that line
He has talked about his mental health issues before, so a lot of their music is about mental health issues and fighting them. I got into you because of the Ode to Sleep reaction and I love your authentic reaction. I'm subbed and looking forward to seeing more from you!
Hey, I'm from Brazil and I love your reactions, keep doing Twenty One Pilots reactions, please react to the trilogy (JUMPSUIT, NICO AND THE NINERS AND LEVITATE), it's a sequence and a story too, after that u research more about, u will love it! XOXO ❤
You know I was never really into to this band I mean I like a few of the songs they came out with...but more and more I'm starting to like them their message is deep love the song car radio...this was dope as well
So I’ve been listening to TOP since 2011 Regional At Best album. Joseph Tyler the lead singer has been diagnosed with being Bipolar. All of the songs he sings are deal with the mental world. They’ve never made a bad song. My list not including heathens, stressed out, and slow (on the radio) and Car radio because you have it here but would be my #1 1. Kitchen Sink 2. Be concerned 3. Forest 4. Ode to Sleep 5. Screen 6. Migraine There are so many I just picked 6. Definitely listen to them. I’m not bipolar but I have a different diagnosis and his music helps me move through the day.
After this video check out my new song “2020” LINK: ruclips.net/video/3bUJjhD-aSY/видео.html

Yes. That's been my understanding.
I'm so sorry. I wanted to like it but there was 69 likes and I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Haha! Actually the fires real! At their concerts they actually have the car on the stage on FIRE at the start of the show

THIS IS THE MOST CHARISMATIC BAND EVER
I know this would probably never happen but imagine if they collaborated with Slim Shady aka Eminem
If you think he raps fast in this song listen to levitate.
Honestly levitate is fire but the opening HDS verse is definitely faster
kitchen sink?
Nah Ode to sleep
Fall away live. That's faaaast

I've read all these comments and I don't think I've seen one mention for Car Radio!!! 😮😮😮
Sandra Jones Exactly!!!! The very best of the best 🖤

My Fav live song!
the fire is real, the making of the music video on their yt is actually pretty funny and really interesting 10/10 recommend :)
21 pilots are insane because all their songs connect in one big epilog

Yeah he deal with depression and that stuff but he is getting better, by the way his name is Tyler(lead singer) and Josh is the drummer
