i found my uncle's old film camera with an expired film roll inside! took some pics with it, got them developed. found out that on the same roll of film there were photos of my mom and brother - taken 18 years apart :))

All STi’s are manual. The only thing that looks like it could be a STi are those carpets. Looks like a 2004, but the steering isn’t STi, the trim around the shifter is missing, and the seats and door panels aren’t black and blue. ???
I really loved it when you included the shutter sound whenever a photo was shown on screen it just made the image 1000x better please start doing that again it’d be so sick to see it again

I use to own this gen wrx STi but some things look off. Those are STi carpets, but the steering isn’t STi, the trim around the shifter is missing, and the seats and door panels aren’t the black and blue suede. Do you have a Frankenstein’d wrx Willem? Lol

I have also some old expired films in my freezer. I certainly need to try those some day when it’s still summer. Maybe comes red 1970’s vibe or maybe not. 😀 It’s really exiting to shoot those old films and wait what kind of colors you will get.

Some sources I've read online say overexpose by a stop for every decade, and others say half a stop per decade. Which did you opt for? A little over half a stop?

When you develop the film that you overexpose (400 @ 100, 800 @ 320), do you push/pull or develop with the standard time?
i actually have Fuji Gw690 which is a great camera, mines beat up and been through 40+ years of photography but I replaced the shutter this month. As such While its new to me its a body that shows its hard life but functionally is perfect. Its also a great camera that takes some of the best images the lens is razor sharp if you nail focus its sharp as a tack.

Telltale signs that you are NOT driving a STi. It's missing both the intercooler spray button and the C. Diff dial.

What method do you use to remember what setting go with each photo?

When you say you have a 400 roll but you decide to rate it at 100, does that mean you set your iso setting to 100, or do you notify of this in one way when you go get it developed?
Vegard, when you "pull" film, rating it at a lower speed than box speed, you're basically telling your camera to over expose (in this case, by two stops) the film. You would then compensate the amount of time in the developer, to make up for this (less time if you're pulling (as Willem did here), more time if you're pushing (eg, shooting 400 ISO film at 1600). I'll confess I don't have experience shooting expired film, but I think the essentials of pushing and pulling are the same. Also, a disclaimer. Willem may have a different response based on exactly what he does. I just didn't want you to be left hanging waiting to hear from him].

@@DougHall65 Good explanation. Usually expired film requires its own development adjustments, best way is to trial and error it, what works best to what you are trying to achieve.

Red Hook, Brooklyn has some nice industrial scenes specially next to the IKEA
this isn't Red Hook, in fact I think he's actually closer to LIC in queens than Brooklyn
