Samantha Irvin is such a good ring announcer... honestly this video made me appreciate all the different spins ring anouncera have put on the art of ring anouncing. Style is everything for a ring anouncer. I was so impressed with that one guy the "one fall guy"... amazing how he got such good reactions lol
I always liked how she said Kevin Owens’ name. Something about it just hit.

The Fink had that "You made it" vibe in his announcing
He didn't "have" it, he pretty much invented it. There's a reason he's imitated, but never duplicated.
Amazing how to this day no one has been able to take his number one spot. Fink is the GOAT. The Michael Jordan of ring announcing. There's no one better and probably never will be.
Tony Chimel, Lilian Garcia, Justin Roberts and Howard Finkel are my favorites

I've always loved how the announcers announced Undertaker's name, especially when they're made sure to announciate the Rs.

I really loved how everytime Edge appreciated Tony Chimel saying "Suuuuuuuuperstar". Seems like Edge was really very grateful. That bought some tears in my eyes.

I can’t disagree with the top 5. No one will ever overtake The Fink for me, but all of these announcers are tremendous and make wrestling even better.
Yep, you know the match was going to be epic when it was JR and King commenting, the Fink announcing, and Earl Hebner as the referee
I love Justin and Samantha, but Howard and Lillian were as much a part of my wrestling fandom as a kid and teen years as were Bret, Razor, Mr. Perfect, Macho Man, HBK, Undertaker, The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H, Angle, Foley, etc.
Yeah, having Samantha over Lillian and a few of the others is just criminal tbh.

yeah Lilian is better than Samantha. she is the heart and soul of ruthless aggression era. yeah she is not like "yelling type" announcer but lilian saying triple h was so memorable. Also Jojo deseves the position or honorable mention. Jojo was doing great job as ring announcer.

None can ever top the Fink. But I grew up with Justin Roberts and he remains my personal favorite. "Weighing 299lbs. The UndeeeeerTakeeeer!"
Really glad he became a part of AEW his introductions are iconic. Regardless of how one feels about Moxley, I do love the way he is introduced.
I have this running joke with myself that just before he says Moxley he's in fact saying Cena but then has to correct it at the last moment.
Howard Finkle will always hold a special place in my heart. His voice was made for announcing.

The way he said, "Champion", really sold his announcing. Loved it.

The crowd chanting one fall is still so iconic, it made no sense to me when WWE started asking the announcers to stop pausing for the chant. Vince hates fun.

The pause and sigh before made it even more funny...and shows you how much of a character he is in his own right
Samantha Irvin is next level amazing. I wish this talked more about non-WWE announcers though, because Samantha is cut from the same mold as Melissa Santos, who was a revelation in Lucha Underground for announcing the EXACT same way. It's a style I love because they put some bass in their voice, and it matches the "big fight" feel that male announcers achieve. Lillian Garcia, even though she was a pioneer, was never able to do this. She gave entrances a girly, 'sing song' feel that I never cared for. On no planet is she better than a legend like Michael Buffer.
Nevertheless, I appreciate a list that appreciates ring announcers!
Only Bruce Buffer is better than his half-brother Michael, but Samantha is still the best in WWE today

It’s an underrated job being an announcer. It’s your job to make sure the fans remember who they are watching and why they should care.
Even though I was a kid, I noticed Tony Chimel's Suuuuuuuperstar spin, I thought he was Edge's personal announcer
Lilian Garcia was legendary, during my kid days, I always remember her voice, she's the most legendary to me and the first one I knew her name
Justin Roberts, his voice was something else, the way he introduces the WWE champion was something else
Howard Finkel, he was always there for the HOF introduction at all the WrestleManias classic voice
Samantha Irvine, this lady is something else, her introduction of Chelsea green always makes me laugh out loud, she just changes up her mood immediately to announce Chelsea green. She Introduces Ludwig Kaiser on a low-key and bangs it all out for GUUUUNNNNTTTEEERRRR

My favorite of Lilian is when she announces Rey Mysterio and the Rs come straight through. Only Justin Roberts can pull it off.
as The Undertaker's big fans.. Justin Roberts way to introducing him is always great and make me chills. but don't forget about Tomy Chimmel's heavy and astonishing way for announcing The Deadman also. both of them will always be my part of childhood at 2000s & 2010s.

Mr. Kennedy was also in TNA/Impact from 2010-16 as Mr. Anderson.
Samantha Irvin is my favorite current ring announcer. Her vocal range and unique ways of announcing people that fit their characters is great.

Another memorable one is from the DX era, Road Dogg Jesse James entrance for the New Age Outlaws. The "Oh, you didn't know? You better call somebody!!" still plays in my head.😂
definitely one of the best aspects of a wrestlinng match! There is a lot that goes into creating a classic, from the entrances, to the announcers, to the match itself, wrestling is a spectacle unlike any other

Justin Roberts was just so good and still is for AEW. Tony Chimel ist great too, the way he represents each character‘s wishes and gives each introduction a twist. I really like the way Edge reacts to his introduction each time.

Tbh, Bruce Buffer should've been on this list as an honorable mention. His announcing in the UFC is untouchable.
UFC is MMA not Pro Wrestling so he’s not even apart of it. If you’re talking greatest announcer in any sport, definitely top 5.

Like so many people around the world, I've always been a huge fan of Michael Buffer when he would do the ring introductions for a big time, championship fight. I always thought it was pretty cool having him do some of the WCW matches from time to time. I always wished that somebody in Boxing would have been smart enough to hire Howard Finkel to do some ring announcements for a championship boxing match... "AND NEWWWWW WBC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD... IRON MIIIIIIIKE TYSONNNNNN !!!"

Ryu Nakata, best known for being the main ring announcer of All Japan Pro Wrestling from the mid 80s until the 2000 exodus upon which he moved to Pro Wrestling NOAH before being fired in 2012 is one of my favorites.

Samantha Irvin and the Sephiroth-style final boss entrance music are what convinced me to buy into the Imperium name changes and the music change, respectively.
The cool part too about Greg Hamiltons "One Fall" call is that he's mentioned how he was told not to give the crowd time to repeat it back, but he went against it and purposely chose to pause after "Fall" so the crowd could participate which is pretty cool. Considering how much trouble he could get into for going against WWE's wishes.

Howard Finkle really had that "made it" vibe with his announcing. He is the GOAT announcer, Lillian's Triple H announcing and Chimmel's "The Undertakerrrr" were also awesome.
