I could watch these all day! It's relaxing hearing the bike and trail sounds, ripping down a sick descent 👍🏾
🤘🏾
There's nothing like cleaning a challenging trail in its entirety, no dabs, no second-guessing, just full-on in the zone. Nicely done.
Boom! 💯
I would love to smash through that rock garden. It looked like so much fun. Great video Alan. I can't wait for the next one
It’s a blast! Thanks. 👊🏾
This is a great video! The sky is so pretty, and the camera footage is so nice! Relaxing to watch. .
Thanks! The skies in SoCal have been gorgeous recently!
170’s in the rock garden are soooo buttery. Nicely ridden!
Indeed! Thanks. 🤘🏾
Man, I couldn’t be happier seeing 3 new vids from ya!! Thanx Alan, made my day!
Hee hee!
Triple upload! I also saw you at snow summit a couple months ago 🤙
Yew yew yew!
Hope we'll get a chance to see each other at Snow Summit again soon!
Awesome!
That Nomad looking Super Smooth!
Yeyer!
Sick video alan!!
Thanks Kris!
Great video. I have a 50/50 chance of passing that tree after the step-up. There's always a crowd there or some dude near the middle of the path. The step-up is the easy part. I saw a video from Mo & Hannah riding down Rock-It and she said , "it never gets easy!" I must agree.
It's definitely harder when there are people there. We didn't get so lucky on the previous lap.
@@mtb_alan I had to get a Timber Bell. Too many confused hikers on the trail after you tell them, "On your left!" then my frustration results to yelling, "RIDER!".
Big fan of the channel Alan, thanks for all the hard work. Not gonna lie though, what you said at the end of Rockit was a little bit creepy. "Yeahhhh, that's how I like it." LOL.. ride on my friend.
LOL! Thanks for the support.
Yeah...I know. I can't always control what comes out of my mouth at then of a run. 😆
@@mtb_alan haha, own it. I do the same thing lol. I just jab people I like... Anyway, sick ride, as usual.
😁
Like a BOSS!
I just descended rocket today, at about 1/50th the speed 😂
Respect 👍🏼🤙🏼🤛🏼
😆👏🏾
Looks sick bro! Gnarly! Really good stuffs out there nice vid 👊🏻👊🏻🔝
Thanks! 👊🏾
Haha I didn't expect to see you here! You still riding during the winter? I'm planning to hit Vietnam once I'm healed up if you're down for a group ride 🤘🏿
@@UltimateMTB haha I support my fellows mountain bikers 😁🤣 and yes I’m still riding if whether permits, just let me know when your down, I would love to do a group ride.
@@davidbermudez5387 sounds great dude, will do!
Great footage 👍🏻
Thanks!
Awesome video! I have met you before at big bear! 🤙
Thanks! Hopefully we'll meet again at Big Bear! I'm def looking forward to some Snow Summit.
@@mtb_alan Awesome! I’m looking forward to going again!
Damn you were moving! Must have set a new PR!
Yew! I did...but it was probably because it was the first time I did it non-stop. 😆
Sick video I still have not ridden rock it but hopefully I will get the chance soon
Heck yeah! Do it! It's a blast. 🤘🏾
@@mtb_alan 🤙
Looks and sounds like hard work
If that’s hard work, the paycheck is worth it! 🤘🏾😆
Dude, you chewed up Rock-It like nothing on the new Green-Machine! I’m still working on that step-up section so hopefully soon I can rejoice in the splendor of a non-stop run down myself! Stay Rad Alan! 🤘🏼🤙🏼
The Melon is killing it. But it should be noted that I did that step-up and full-pull on my ol' Recluse years ago. The step-up is actually the easy part. It's that quick down-shift and tech pedal afterwards. 😆
@@mtb_alan true dat. Can’t find it, grind it shifting is my specialty. 😝
That rock garden looks scary!
Hee hee...funny thing is that the faster you go, the smoother it gets. Mostly. 😆
@@mtb_alan I rode this today for the first time and conceptually I understand the idea that speed makes it better. Unfortunately I also have this weird irrational fear of death and I couldn't bring myself to commit. My ride was much less smooth than yours.
@@jaredpoulter6762 Ha! Well, the GoPro does a lot of work to smooth it out. But of course, go only as fast as feels right. And as long as you're grinning you're winning!
A friend took me on it, hadn’t been on a mountain bike in years... loved it until got to about 4:25 ish the video... went end over end... first time on a trail with ground like that. Came out covered in blood. Was fun though. Wear a helmet!
Oh dang! Hope you're all right.
Oh dang! Hope you're all right.
@@mtb_alan yeah, it was years ago, but I just saw this video - was so happy to be able to watch this vid - I got to relive it in my mind lol
@@CJ-tz2rs ha! Got it. Yew!
Must have missed you guys this weekend. We hung out at the fire ring at SkyPark with you and Kelly after Tony’s group ride. I also took my wife up for exactly the same thing but we went all the way to Meadows and back up Wood Canyon. What a grind... Great video, I hope to see you guys at Tony’s next group ride. Keep the rubber down. By the way, what setting are you using on you 38 up front?
Hey! That was a fun day at Skypark!
That's cool. Yeah, I like to introduce Kelly to an area with as little suffering as possible. She'd prefer to ride Snow Summit all year if she could. 😆
re: 38 settings
I hate to say it, but I'm not fully sure at the moment.
I've just been making tweaks to the factory recommended settings.
But I can tell you that I've opened up the HSR a bit, and have also opened up the LSC. I believe other than that, it's at factory recommended for my pressure which is 75psi.
Hope that helps.
As a note, the 2021 Grip2 damper is actually different. Brandon and I discussed this some in our Q&A: ruclips.net/video/hLpI_rXnNXs/видео.html
@@mtb_alan Yeah, I should have done Lynx first back to Cholla cuz she was not happy coming back up, but a slice of pizza and a beer and now she wants to go back. Betty prefers Summit too. On the fork, I have the 2021 Megatower with the 38 and I am actually watch Brandon and you discussing this so thank you sir! Tony is doing the FL group ride this weekend if it doesn’t rain, maybe I’ll see you there. Take care.
Ha! Pizza and beer fixes many things.
re: 38
Ah...got it.
The '21 Megatower! Noice!
Man that long rock garden choppy. How’s your hand feel on that? Good to see you as always man.
Thanks for asking, man. The hand was good. It's been getting more flexy and stronger, and that Mobius X8 really works well.
Good to read your comment!
Nice pull. How are you liking the new ride?
Thanks! I love the Nomad!
Man this trail looks so fun can't wait to give it a try soon
It's a blast!
Dude, fast!!!
🤘🏾
How did the bike run
Like a beast.
@@mtb_alan cool
Ever ride these trails on a hardtail?
I haven't. But I've seen people on HTs out there.
I used to ride it on my full -rigid (no suspension front or back) Stumpjumper
Do this with Santiago oaks!
I like it.
Hi Alan
Yo.
I like the heavy breathing. Mmmm mm mmmmm.
👄
You sound tired lol get a Ebike lap after lap
Are you saying that the eBike is the bike for those who don't wanna do work?
