I am one of your biggest cheerleaders Mitch, you are trying so hard to make a difference, I applaud your efforts. So many people and communities are your legacy. Everyday I enjoy the fruits of your labor in some form. Good work and god bless. You are my hero.
I really appreciate Mitch's talks. I've seen him present at a few other places and it's refreshing to hear a call to action against some of the garbage byproducts of modern life. I don't know if it's possible for everyone to achieve the success that he defines in his talk (at least in the short term), but it's something really important and valuable to set our sights on.
wow i love this guy, competition drives life forward, but when competition eliminates its competitive threats its a step backwards for everyone in the longterm.
The military is not all bad. The secrecy is there, for example, to protect hostages and rescuers during rescue operations. Also what has happened with OceanGate has shown the usefulness in having organizations, such as the Navy, that regularly utilize submarines, which allow things like regulations and standards to be put into place for the benefit of not just the Navy but the broader submarine community.
Talk so much and you're bound to say _something_ that some of us disagree with (meh so what). But it's just really good to see someone talking about many of these things.
Sorry. The primary purpose of a gun is NOT to kill. It's primary purpose is to express the will of the bearer. It has no will, no animus, no love, or thought. Set a gun down and it does NOTHING. To suggest otherwise detracts from our humanity by granting sentience to an inanimate object clearly incapable of expressing it's non-existent will. A gun is truly neutral. It can be used to good. It can be used for bad. The morality of a gun is based entirely on the bearer - not the object itself.
but the object itself does not come into existence by itself, it comes into existence with a purpose in mind already, with the purpose to enable the future bearer to destroy something with it..

Awesome talk. I like the way he thinks.
