Ravager was a squadron in XVT I believe, but more specifically it was my multiplayer clan from the 90s during the XVT days . A group that existed at the same time as Emperor's Hammer, however EH far outlives them. My "character" is Pash Fairchild, and it dates back to my childhood. It's just a little way I put myself in the game.
Very nicely added than and deserved :)
And yes XvT may be where I am getting the memory from.
For the HD Concourse upgrade I'm currently working on, I've now got the ability to trigger a promotion cutscenes when you get promoted, IE the uniform rank. I've already built a few cutscenes for them, however they are 3DM style. I do agree with you though about the animated cutscene nostalgia. Nonetheless, 3DM cutscenes are easier to build. I only mention this because if you make it to CDR, my character will also be in the audience for your promotion ceremony and root you on. Rough Draft Sneak Peek: ruclips.net/video/9-v_KtnwvSo/видео.html
I used to be in the EH. ISD Vanguard, Echo Squadron, before becoming Wing Commander of Wing XV.
Nice work out there
Hello all. The 1.3.3 patch has been given to Magz before public release so he can continue his playthrough, but official release will hopefully be tomorrow! (Sat 15th)
Edit: The 1.3.3 patch is now offically released! :)
The TIE Advanced looks great! I can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the TIE Defender!
@@Chris_Lohmann Nothing indecend i hope XD
@sim.frischh9781 ...I could hear a little more...
absolutely fantastic work.
Great work
I'd recommend turning on Ray Traced shadows for the game. You can do that through the Babu Frik configurator which you can find in the launcher for the game.
I just noticed some of the radio chatter background is from I-War.
None of the radio chatter from TFTC Reimagined has been taken from there, its all been recorded for the mod. TFTC Classic uses all the original inflight audio.
@@ange1uk 5m32s, with one with that rattle? Heard it so many times. But hey, I'm not arguing with nobody. I guess you recreated, exactly, an effect from I-War so well I thought it was a shout out to the series. So still a win.
@@sarahts21 ahh ok I don't know then about that sound effects I thought you meant the voiced radio chatter. Could be a shared audio asset between games.
You are losing firepower by not linking cannons
Can we just note how amazing it is to have Uglies in the game now? It adds another freaking layer of immersion... Brings back the memories...
Didn't expect to see the inside of an A-Wing while flying around the TIE-Advance.
Ravager Squadron was a fighter squadron of the Sith Enclave.
Fun Fact: Vader's voice actor in the original TIE Fighter cutscenes is Scott Lawrence. He voiced Vader in a ton of games from 1994 to 2006. He stopped for a while, but is back now voicing Vader in games featuring him since 2019.
He also had a voice role in the Star Wars Resistance animated series.
Also heh, that astromech model from one of the Jedi Knight games
9:30 ; *that* is a Muurian Transport. It's basically what happens when a ship designer looks at an Assault Transport and thinks "Hmm, not bad I suppose ... but how can we make it even more miserable for a fighter to try and attack them and make them feel that they are shooting it with a water pistol?"
Glad to see the graphics improvements, will try to upgrade ASAP as soon as its released, I just can't play TFTC as the fast-slow-fast-slow graphics glitching make it impossible to dogfight and I'm really looking forward to it!
Just mind blowing awesome. Long Live Angel and his Team. Long Live Magz! And Long Live the Empire!, Long Live The Imperial Starfleet Tie Fighter Corps..
That scan run of the convoy was probably one of the coolest things, still amazing how well the game conveys the speed of these starfighters
Yay, it's back!
Awesome work of the developers
The first Thing engaged looked like Slave II.
People running around... brings a whole new life to it all. This is just amazing.
Tie Fighter was my very first game when I got my first PC. Before that, everything was... yeah, you guessed it, Amiga 500! Hehe
Gunboats will be back in all their versions. How else will the A.I. have a fair chance to win; since, we are not in bombers.
28:58 Sorry Red 2, that maneuver only works on targets over 1.5k in length. Yes, I know the Imperial pilot could count the threads on your seatbelt, but that is just how the setting notes from Disney says this works. I don't have the authority to change that. A Starfighter is supposed to evade a ramming maneuver, a Star Destroyer can't. You should ask for a transfer to a corvette. But maybe I can pull some strings and tell General Syndulla I've got a crack pilot that would help her new secret weapon.
did this series get dropped? sad that we dont get to see the end
It got paused due to some medial and personal issues that took up my time, back to recording it now so new videos incoming.
If Ravager Squadron is a reference, Im not sure what its referenceing. Wookieepedia doesnt come up with anything (even in the Legends sections). Theres a hit to an unrelated fanon wiki for what looks to be a forum/email based Star Wars RPG game...
There are a couple of ships with the name 'Ravager', one from KotORII, the SSD that crashed on Jakku, prior to The Force Awakens and a Lancer-class frigate from the first novel in the X-Wing series.
This is looking great. Why don't the developer's throw cash (and resources) their way? This remains the best space sim series ever.
Because the original game this mod is built on came out in 1999, The original developer Totally Games hasn't existed for at least 8 years now.
Well, yeah, but _someone_ owns the rights to this particular game, and remakes are popular at this time.
On the other hand, the rights are probably held by EA, which answers the question I suppose.
@@jmr5125 exactly, which is why I said the developers should (whoever owns the rights and all such)
Hi Magz! I don't really watch people play games on youtube much but I found you because of your tie fighter content and have also been enjoying your submarine content too! Thanks for the content.
What a treat! I'm so glad the empire has loyal leaders like Zarin working hard to protect us from traitors like Harkov.
Also 100% agree on missing the 90's video game animated cutscene style. It's really a vibe.
I'm also a big fan of his sub stuff. I played a lot of silent hunter and Uboat.
the pulsing engine sound is awful but hell i need to play this
Magz, too cruel mate. Now we got to wait for final Harcov mission.
Would like to see the next Episode...
Hell yeah been waiting for this
Great to see a return the TF, in Total Conversion has the damage model being modified? As I recall in the original a single advanced missile & a quad laser blast would quickly dispatch a Tie Advanced.
It is still the case :)
wait since when can tie fighters see through there wings have these side panels always been a thing?
They are meant to be screens, not windows I believe.
Some people have written in the comments here about the Sith Enclave squadron being the reference. I don’t think this is it. I believe that the reference could be of or two things. The executor class super star destroyer Ravager who appears in the Canon book Aftermath of whom we see in Episode VII, **shudder** Rey flying the Falcon through its engines. Or it could be a reference to the Lancer class frigate also named Ravanger that we see in the Legends books XWing rogue squadron.
Looks like Kermit's acting career hasn't worked out in a galaxy far far away.
So glad to see this continued! For the Empire!
Kinda neat being your wingman on that first one.
Alright one of my all time favorites!
Please keep ‘em coming!
You are a legend mate.
Seeing what Angel has done for the rest of the story I'm 100% sure it is a Star Wars reference. However my first reaction was no, that’s a 40K reference …. Eh … wait a second is that right? Or is it MCU? Damnit now not sure, Star Citizen? Or was it WW2 RN? Getting confused myself.
Its all of the above it appears and my mind is filled will useless factoids
That last pirat ship that ran away (the one with the turret) was a Muurian Transport.
I remember running into them in my days flying the "Totally Unconverted Vanilla Tie Fighter" back then 😄...
...and I am looking forward to see them again with better looks soon ✌😎
