A little weird the finishing line scene of the German pilot in the final (there is a shadow comparison of the Australian performance right next to German plane). The video shows clearly that the German pilot goes first 42:29, but the timer shown in the right corner says the contrary.
Am I the only one that this happened to?? When it came time to play the national anthem from Australia. The sound in this video quit...and came back right after it played!! What's up with that??
That "football" commentator (always tensioned) is really ruining the moment. The sport itself has a very nice peace of adrenaline and feeling, doesn't need "enhancers". It's like watching MotoGP (all immersed in the moment) and your buddy starts the chainsaw (or leaf blower) to "enhance" your experience.
Cool, but this has so much more potential to be fatal than normal racing. If you crash in a race car, there are many ways to slow the vehicle and protect the driver from serious harm. In a plane, you're pretty much fucked if you nick one of those poles.

Did not even know this kind of race existed till now. This is actually really very entertaining to watch.

Mostly Zivko Edge 540, but some pilots have MX Aircraft MXS.
