KGET News; I’m from Branson, Mo. Once, I was out on a corner downtown, with my fiddle case open and playing for tips..I was marginal at best..A gentleman came up, listened while I played “Faded Love,” then complimented me.. He slipped cash into my case, I gave him an album. I asked how he liked the area. He said, “Very nice. My group and I are here doing a show, then out back home to California.” I said, “Oh, what’s the name of your group?” He then softly said “ Merle Haggard and the Strangers.” I know I turned every shade of red!!!
Anyone know what tuning Norman Hamlet used on the resonator guitar in Merle Haggards Same train different time. the resonator guitar sounds different than most dobro style guitars on that album!
Thanks “Norman” for all your good music I really enjoyed you and “Merle” and so did my Father Mother Sisters and friends. God bless, Dennis
