My self-confidence was zero a year ago but I slowly built it by focusing on myself and building up evidence of how capable I am like having friends who support you and tell you you are doing great and when I started working online and building my career, it gave me immense confidence. In the start it was very difficult I was always doubting myself but with time it got easier and that's how you build confidence. Also if your parents are toxic, don't take their words seriously they don't know who you truly are. I know it's easier said than done but eventually you will rise above that toxicity.
