- Rivals of Aether II launches on Steam October 23rd!
The official release date is finally revealed.
Rivals 2 is the next generation of platform fighters and multiplayer brawlers. This sequel to the hit indie fighting game Rivals of Aether is expanded and upgraded with 3D visuals, new mechanics, improved online support, and more!
Every Character Will Be Free: On top of a launch roster of 10 iconic Rivals, all future characters will be added to the game for free and customizable with an expanding library of awesome cosmetics.
Clobber Friends And Foes: Duke it out against CPUs, embarrass your friends locally, or hop online with reliable rollback netcode - all in either 1v1, 2v2, or Free-for-All battles.
Easy To Play, Fun To Master: Customizable controls and expansive, genre-original gameplay mechanics make this a multiplayer brawler that anyone can enjoy
The Aether Adventure Continues: In post-launch updates, experience an engaging and living world full of special event updates, new characters, additional modes, and exciting customizations and lore.

They have way too many OCs to add to bother with guests. Plus characters will be free DLC. I don't think a random company would like that lmao
@@FieryAnubis Why would free DLC be a problem, especially indie publishers? Shovel Knight and Ori went free in the first game, and that wasn't a problem. They can totally bring new indie guests in this game, they just don't really want to right now.
@@FenexTheFox Because you have to pay for a license to get a guest in your game. It's literally a waste of money unless you charge for them (which they don't want to do). That's it. It's unnecessary. This isn't a crossover fighter, this is an OC (original character) fighter. Let it develop an identity of its own. There are way too many crossover platform fighters as is.

Bruh RoA1 was a thing, and this is a sequel. If you wanna be like that, literally every platformer ever is "furry jump" because Crash, etc. is also a "furry" this joke is unfunny.
