Thanks for the Visual Recipe. Sometimes I get turned off by awkward voiceovers and comments that distract & confuse. I am in my 50s so I can figure by experience and sight what ingredients I can use or substitute to get similar results. For example, I now just buy ready made doughs and concentrate on my homemade fillings. PEACE! I'm going to make these for Thanksgiving and use turkey instead of chicken. 🤗
Why make them round and have to re-roll the dough? Squares or rectangles will be just as easy to hold and can be made by cutting the dough with a knife, bench scraper or pizza cutter. No dough scraps to roll again and no wasted dough.
So cute and perfect! Used to be one of my kids fave foods....when she was a kid. Grown now with 3 grown ones of her own....who eat better than she. We're trying tho. Fighting kidney stones now so i hope that and lovely easy recipes like this might tempt her to actually eat real food again. (And my frozen pizza loving youngest grandson lol) Just have to change up the veggies because none of them will eat peas or onion pieces. Thank you very much for the quick nature as well!🙏🏼🫓🍁🎃👻🧡🖤🤍
@Tastemade - this would have been a great clip and recommendation if: a) it had been slowed down to a 2 minute clip instead b) you had put a list of ingredients in the description/drop-down...
in the time it took you to write this comment, instead you could’ve paused the video and wrote down the ingredients that are literally on the screen in front of you
Really nice video and very well done. 🍃My experience with liquid filling in biscuit dough is the inside of the dough remains raw.😳 So I cook the biscuits first, then cut them in half, spread butter which melts with some garlic powder, and then put the filling in.
@@nancygoodwin6891whether you freeze them fresh or after cooking I'd place Parchment Paper between them if placing more than one in a freezer bag or freezer container. Doing this will help keep the center ingredients in tact and not separating from the top layers of the Biscuits. Hope this is helpful.
How do you stop them from breaking open? There seems to be a lot of liquid in that filling I'm worried they just break open when you bake them. The fork chimp doesn't look that solid in holding it together.
cool the stuffing in refrigiator before using in the busit, it will get jelly texture , but rememmber there is flour so maybe make it thicker sauce//gravy not soup consistency
It's definitely not phyllo dough. It looks like you use puff pastry. But if you look closely, there are two layers of pastry on the bottom. It says puff pastry in the description.
I notice you started them out on a flat baking sheet, but the picture of them baking in the oven shows them on a roaster rack. Why did you change that, but not mention it in the video. I also wonder, did you use puff pastry or was that an uncut sheet of crescent roll dough?
Puff pastry is made by adding butter in layers and rolling and re rolling several times , which creates the puff and flaky layers . It’s quite a skilled process. Filo pastry is very thin dough , also a long winded process and most people ( even chefs ! ) buy it ready made . It’s a lot lower in calories but if several sheets are used most recipes paint the sheets with melted butter otherwise it can be a bit too crispy and dry .
Ookay i'm loving this girl! 👌💕 I'm a mom and just started my youtube channel too! I'm having so much fun with it but still have a loong way to go compared to people like this, eeek! BUT I do have so many other fun creative ideas that I'll get to after allowing myself to get a little more used to posting, etc on youtube because I mostly started this for my daughter to find in the future lol. In the meantime i'm all about supporting other channels however I can because it takes real work to create videos! I genuinely wish all of you with new youtube channels much success on youtube! ❤🎉
These are not biscuits, it can't be a pie and a biscuit at the same time. They look nice, there can't be much filing in them but the snooty ladies of the garden club would probably go mad for them.
@@diane3271 on the top of video there is a setting go in and at the bottom ,you can slow down speed..hope this helps I posted something above to all
It's an assembly method really, not a recipe. And that's fine. You can find out how to make biscuit dough or rough-puff pastry (or buy it) and eyeball the rest.
If using Pepperidge Farm Puff pastry, why bother rolling it out, cutting and filling. Just fill the puff pastry with the filling and be done! Why all the extra steps!? Plus, puff pastry as it is is so light and airy. It’s basically like eating Chicken ala king in a puff Pastry.
Cutting it after pressing fingers in the dough and scoring with a fork is a failsafe from leaking. The filling will produce lots of steam and the pastry will leak in the oven without it. Hope that helps 👍 you could also just score the top so the steam can escape if you dont want to cut it it seal the edges
But then you have one big which is difficult to cut after baked. But, one thing is there; they thaw first and become soft, so better to just fill fast.
Agreed but as I get older (60's) I find myself wanting to try new things and do more "finger foods." I love my air fryer chicken strips, etc. This may be a fun alternative. Especially since I'm alone and can eat what I want, when I want. ❤❤😂😂
I have biscuits in the fridge ready to go. Cool recipe idea 👍
Same here, great idea for my biscuits! ❤❤
Yes me too ❤and some celery and carrots that need get used up great idea 😋

Okay that looks _TASTY_

Because biscuits are supposed to be round. Do it your way and let other people do it theirs.
Round looks better and who wants corners on their biscuits?
@@jimmason8502round does look better .. but the idea of a bit more crispy puff pastry is pretty tempting!
Ooh like savory Pop-Tarts. Love it!
Need straight up and down biscuit cutter for puff pastry
Looks scrumptious as in extremely tasty. 👍👍
Definitely making this, Grandkids
I have to try this
That looks good...I'm gonna try them

Bet it would work with crescent roll dough, just triangles instead of circles... :)
Lord those look fantastic ❤
I’ve been making these for weeks and they’re delicious

Very creative!! 🫶

It says in the description it's made with pastry dough not biscuit dough. Kind of misleading to be honest!
🙋🏼♂Yes please!!
Looks *seriously* tasty!
I never thought of electric mixing chicken. 😂
Thats a reall cool Idea 💡! I may try it & some people maybe surprised.😯.
Awesome!.
Literally just vol-au-vent.

Boo! No written recipe in the description box.
No mention of the type of dough.
Could continue but what's the point.
you need better attention skills everything is listed and its basic cooking.
These are perfect if you don't want a regular meal!
Yum!!!!!!!
I would love to make these, but I didn't notice what dough you used? Homemade Biscuits, pie dough?
Please give an update.

This is a hand pie, not a biscuit. Looks yummy.

They're just like any pie you make, cook and freeze.
That's cute.

I make this with Philo
How'd you make the dough?
The description said puff pastry. It's store bought.
Or Google for a recipe 🤗
Looks to me like it’s that puff pastry you can buy
If you wanna make your own puff pastry from scratch, is not worth the effort...
Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry.

It looks like the only thing not specified is the salt n pepper but other than that the measurements are in the video
You can allow the video down on settings to capture the instructions.
I hate it when there's no written instructions!
It's just store-bought puff pastry cut into circles. It's not complicated.🙄
Just use feeling
Where is the recipe?

What kind of biscuit dough is this? Store bought, home made? Seems like an important detail to leave out.
Wow- little mini ones!

Can these be frozen uncooked?
Wouldnt refreeze thawed out pastry before cooking.
Anything special about the pie dough? So that the inside dough doesn't end up raw?
why would it be raw, you already cooked the gravy and vegtables reall only cooking the biscuit/pie
❤❤❤ nice 👍🏼👍🏼
Whoa😯🤤
These look like the ones I get from S**** K** Bakery. Must try! Thanks for the recipe.
Somebody pls tell me, that machine she used to cut the chicken into shreds, what is it called?
use two forks to shread, as you do with pulled pork
Can you use canned biscuits for
that what i would use, phylo too thin and pie crust woun't rise, so yes biscuit/croissant dough
My oven is down. Can I use an Air Fryer?
Music was awesome. Name please
😋😋😋
Looks more like frozen puff pastry (pepperidge farm?)
It obviously is! That's why calling these "biscuits" is ridiculous.
Without sharing the recipe it amounts to not much more than click bait.
Considering they didn't even season the chicken I'm not sure you want this recipe lol. Would be better off doing it on your own.
@kermodi07
Not only click bait but it generates a lot of comments, so there it is.
how about the recipe

What type of biscuits? That looked more like some sort of crust or puffed pastry
It is puff pastry, @60something4

I love the small biscuit option. Easy to eat. All self contained. A big rolled puff pastry would be a mess once it is cut.
