Korda is playing beyond all the expectations right now... clean, powerful strikes, always seeming to find an exceptional length and still moving pretty fast around the court - especially for his height! Really excited for this final.
Everybody say that about most Novak's opponents before the final and then final happens and suddenly they got hit with reality and the whole honeymoon dreaming thing is over! Lol Holger Rune, Karen Khachanov, Alex Zverev you know...all those rare exceptions, that only prove the rule...
I remember many people (especially those that started wataching tennis yesterday...) i call them the special - "youtube crowd" so those folks were saying that Djokovic is out of gas before final with Ruud in Torino and it will be pitiful one-sided mow down of the serb and then we know what happened next...same thing will happen to tomorrow...and same thing will keep happening for as long as Novak holds the racquet! I don't believe in this mythical "decline" people are expecting from Djokovic because of plethora of reasons they are constantly making up to make their point, because when you are the GOAT of the sport, healthy and motivated, then age is just a number and it doesn't matter whether you are 35, 36, 37 or hell even 40! The GOAT has GOAT mentality and he'll find a way to win what he wants to win regardless of the age! Most of the retirements of tennis greats of the past in their early 30's happened either due to lack of motivation (Sampras' case...he had slam record and had no reasons to stick around anymore, so no motivation...he was motivated enough to get 14 and so he did and thats it...) or because of they were either bored of the game or suffered a burnout (Borg's case...) in both of these cases both players already achieved what they wanted to achieve in their careers and they were no more mountains left to climb! Djokovic though?! Not a chance in hell! Not only is he 1 slam behind one of his biggest rivals if not the biggest, but he suffered so many embarassing and humiliating setbacks these recent years, that it is his holly duty now to prove everyone wrong and get back to slam tally race! And guess what?! He's not gonna stop until he gets what he wants, just like Sampras or Borg never stopped! So won't Djokovic!

Djokovic’s 1st serve is such a weapon! I like it when he steps up against Medvedev, he knows when to get aggressive and knows the best way to get winners is to wrong foot him. Daniil was funny when he mimmicked Novak’s leg stretching but he would do better if he didn’t care too much about what happened on the other side of the court. I think it will be a more physical match if they meet at AO. Medvedev is capable of playing better than today buu needs to be 100% focused. He’s like Kyrgios, can’t get carried away by stuff that’s going on apart from tennis. But I still think both of them are the most dangerous rivals of Djokovic, despite him being the favourite to win the slam.
What injury worry for Djokovic? When are commentators going to stop falling for that crap? I liked Djokovic's agressive attitude today, and the confidence in his shots!
This guy is the most well rounded player of all time, yet newbs have the audacity to say he lacks variety. Only to a casual who doesn’t understand what he’s watching. Novak is just a clean, tidy player. Everything is smooth and technically outstanding. Medvedev on the other hand looks like a happy, slappy train wreck. And the way he mocked Novak by suggesting the hamstring concern was phoney shows what a sore loser he's become. Shame.
Medvedump had such an easy draw, while Novak had to battle from R1. If Novak and Medvedump had their draws switched, Novak would have cleaned house while Medvedump would have been eliminated before the finals
his body was completely exhausted before final. if he were 20s, he could recovered severe fatigue. Now his play style's changed to more aggressive. his forehand striking is much faster and serve is even improved than 20's
How does one even put the racquet on a Medvedev 1st serve?! On that note, how does Djokovic manage to return and then turn the point around on a Medvedev 1st serve??
Can we just appreciate how an old Djoker has dominated Australia in ridiculous heat? Perhaps that's why Australia is so successful for him- he just kills your body and then takes your soul every time (hasn't been pushed at all in this tournament but just in general). His competition are in their young 20's and fit as hell and he still takes their bodies. Annoying to mention but he is my least favorite out of the Big 3 but you can't deny greatness. You'll be sad when he's gone so just enjoy him while he's still here crushing souls.
Did I just watch eight minutes of a match with no fist pumping? Hard to believe because it seems like so many of the players and these last couple years have to pump their fist after every point ridiculous. just play. Good job Novak
Not really, Djokovic is GOAT, but Medvedump is just another useless young opposition. It’s sad that Novak’s true opposition are all retired or about to retire.
Adelaide residents are satisfied to be able to watch this classy match live, it's great that Djokovic was able to win in straight sets over Medvedev, indeed Djokovic's way of playing this time is extraordinary, his serve and groundstrokes are very solid, he quickly learns from videos how to easily overcome Medvedev, the same will happen later against Alcaraz , will be easily immersed, learn from Felix Auger Allisiane, while finding Djokovic's weaknesses is difficult, because at any time he can become any tennis player, because of his complete playing technique
Yeah at the moment there is no one who comes close to threatening Djokovic. It’s no doubt he will win the AO. The real question is can he do it without dropping a set ? I think he could

Novak played at a crazily good level of tennis and nobody in the world can do that!
Him playing on a unique level now for some time, he's definitely convincing even the most reluctant that he'll land as the greatest of all time.
amazing how ofensive novak plays after his issue problem, but he is ok...if you can treatment this issue with painkiller in short time then is this evrything ok...Novak knows what is the best for his body. He will be fit by the AO
hopefully yes
He really doesnt lol
@@robinsoncruise2228 And you know what is the best for him? Shut up mate. If you don't want to support great players, you can as well shut up. He is 36 years almost, and he beats these young patzers which means he is better at this moment as he was when he was younger. Results are saying that.
@@robinsoncruise2228 seeing him at 35 playing better tennis than when he was 20, I'd say he knows a couple of things. Also, at his age, you'll still be in mom's basement.
@@robinsoncruise2228 hey cringe Rafatard do u have to comment on every video of Novak? Oh yea forgot he stays in ur head rent free...Rafa Suc*s balls
With Novak's age, I'm always worried about some injuries. Once the fear of a more serious injury faded away, he was playing normally by the end of the match. Let's hope that the muscle strain/tear doesn't get any worse and that he is fully prepared for AO
The KING;THE GOAT🙌
I dont know which channel, but yesterday i said novak in 2, because he is in form and motivated like never before. He feels like he was roobed last year and he will dominate and destroy everyone in january
3:19, what a return!
The level of dedication Djokovic has for tennis even after achieving almost everything is insane and it shows on the court.
@rafaundisputedgoat4291 he is only wining the French so stop spamming the comment section
Djokovic defeated one of his greatest rival in straight sets, that too being injured half of the match.
Just GOAT things !!!!!!!!!!!

Nole totally predicts the course of the serve😳
Novak is fitter than ever and his shots got lots of power behind it now. Amazing! ❤

Novak looks like he's put on some muscle but still moves and stretches the same. Incredible.
Yup, he did put on muscle. And he's more powerful now...
GOAT hasn't dropped a set this tournament. Keep it up novak
A pleasure to watch them.
Novak's angles are gold!
Djokovic hit the first serves tremendously
Djokovic has won 29 of his last 30 matches 😵💫 9 in a row against top 10
Lets go Novak!
Novak Djokovic is the GOAT.
break points made the difference for novak today
Wow thank you for showing the injury rally. Much appreciated. You didn't think that deserved to be in the highlights?
I have the impression that Novak is serving better and better. Well done Nolé
Not a djokovic fan, but I really don't have the answer to "Who can probably stop him from getting the AO title this year?"
What injury worry for Djokovic? When are commentators going to stop falling for that crap? I liked Djokovic's agressive attitude today, and the confidence in his shots!
tweaked hammy in 3rd set
This guy is the most well rounded player of all time, yet newbs have the audacity to say he lacks variety. Only to a casual who doesn’t understand what he’s watching. Federer, Nadal or pretty much all former greats play a certain style and stick to their guns. Djokovic can beat top opposition using his A, B, or C game.
Correct 💯
They just the hate the guy.
Djokovic grande persona, un campione coerente ,serio...uno dei pochi che conserva la propria umanità
May Nishioka get well soon.
The world me thing we should know from a very talented player is when it looks so easy when watching him playing...Korea is one of them definitely!! Not only talented he's tennis looks gorgeous...you feel like going outside and step into the courts and play tennis after watching him... AMAZING!!!
Fine work from the champ
Congrats on your first AO seed!Nishioka!🎉🎉
I’ll be surprised if Djokovic doesn’t win the AO walking in this type of form currently. IDEMOO
Novak is just a clean, tidy player. Everything is smooth and technically outstanding. Medvedev on the other hand looks like a happy, slappy train wreck. And the way he mocked Novak by suggesting the hamstring concern was phoney shows what a sore loser he's become. Shame.
Med is not a threat for Djoker now as he can direct the ball at will which makes it tough for Med to play any winners. And Djojo doesn't miss
I am a Federer fan but at the age of 35 he played like this time of game was amazing #nole

Another amazing game of tennis between Novak and Daniil
Year 2023 will establish Novak as greatest tennis player ever.
To be honest , After US Open 2021, Djokovic beat the hell Medvedev up
Medvedump had such an easy draw, while Novak had to battle from R1.
If Novak and Medvedump had their draws switched, Novak would have cleaned house while Medvedump would have been eliminated before the finals
looking back on that draw, it seems to dirty American intention to prevent his calendar slam.
his body was completely exhausted before final. if he were 20s, he could recovered severe fatigue. Now his play style's changed to more aggressive. his forehand striking is much faster and serve is even improved than 20's
@@ryoshusuke2108 Cry some more🤡
@@riccardonoto9941 Why? Djokovic destroyed that fraud easily.
Djokovic is a very good tennis player indeed!
How does one even put the racquet on a Medvedev 1st serve?!
On that note, how does Djokovic manage to return and then turn the point around on a Medvedev 1st serve??
Nole will be almost unbeatable in AO23. All the best to him.

It’s sad that Novak’s true opposition are all retired or about to retire.
@@ryoshusuke2108 Damn bro what Medvedev did to you?Chill with this hate comments.
