That could have easily been edited, notice how we only actually saw her say half of it. Also dancing was never really Kenzie’s thing, like she obviously really good but she prefers other activities, so in a show about dancing I think I think it’d be easier to see enthusiasm for the kid who loves to dance and want to do it professionally than the one that just does it for fun. Just my two cents.

I agree with you about Melissa’s favoritism being unacceptable but, if you listen really closely, it sounds like “by putting Maddie in” was edited in. Also, they showed her saying the rest of the interview but not that part 🤷🏼♀️

Despite what everyone else is saying, I agree with you. It’s not always about winning. It’s about improving your dance skills and if Kenzie alone with the other dancers got more opportunities like Maddie gets who’s to say they won’t work they way up to being in first place.

Melissa and Abby didn't know it at that time, but they completely killed Kenzie's passion for dance, and her confidence that was once in her.
I think she did a really great job on the improv. Alot of times their improv doesnt seem to go with the music; they are just trying to dance well. Kenzie seemed to really be dancing to the music

I know a lot of people will say that Abby is wrong however she isn't cuz kenzie really needs to use her face. Melissa is also equally wrong. She knew how much the favouritism and comparison was destroying kenzie but she still did not take any action which is the reason why kenzie does not have coincidence in her dancing skills and is always confused.

Sarah K Ya but you I believe that whenever you dance you should be using facial expressions. She didn’t have a look or glee, or sadness or anger. Abby was yelling at her to make those faces but she didn’t. That is probably the reason Abby felt it necessary to switch her
Cherry Tae, I mean yes, the faces were kind of out of the feeling of the dance, but that doesn’t mean Abby should replace Mackenzie with her sister. She is always compared to Maddy, and her mother just agrees, it’s very hurtful to a child at their age to be replaced with their older sister.

No hate on Mackenzie, but she wasn’t applying any of the corrections Abby was telling her. Usually, Abby would have made a mockery of her and then took her out of the dance. Instead, she just switched her lead position. If Mackenzie were to perform, and then loose, Abby would never trust her again.

I think that kenzie is perfectly capable of leading a group dance. However, Voices in my head was a pretty contemporary piece, and as we all know, that's not exactly Kenzie's strong suit. Abby should have given her more lead roles in jazzy dances like Tell me What you Want, because kenzie did great as the lead in that dance, didn't she?

Monster under the bed was a great piece that allowed the dancers to really act. It’s different and it stands out, whereas Voices in my head was just a typical black and white group dance. I would’ve picked Monsters under the bed too.

I’ve competed for dance and have been on a team before, but I’ve never seen ONE of my dance teachers get so upset over second place! Abby should be glad and proud of her students. She just ticks me off.
