Hi Tim ......... Just seen your Assen video. Great to see your impression of it. I start crying as I do see what I have done in the (over) 40 years that I've been working for Truckstar. It ended NOT as I wanted but ..... its all over since end of 2022 as I needed a break and like to go on in February 2023. Anyway ,,,,,,,,,, not invited AND no answers why ....... Anyway, I'm 74 now but still it hurts, specially after seen you video about your Assen trip. GREAT it was for you but also for me to see this back now. Tears in my eyes ...... I did not deserve this how it went ..... :-( But OK, I enjoyed this vedeo and see how you liked it (beside the keys :-( ) Then Media center was our office during the weekend and my part of work was on the straight / track. I have been involved with Truckracing and it all started here in Holland in 1980 with normal road trucks, starting truckrace in Holland. Anyway, been the main photographer in European Truckracing until 2010. Need to help my wife in het shop. But must admit that I miss the whole thing. I know all British racetruck drivers after 40 years involvement ......... This video made me cry but also happiness to see how YOU enjoyed it and promise to follow you ....... It was nice to see that the Police was nice to you. They have to as it is a crazy weekend for them also. I put my email here again and hope to get in contact whenever you like it. ..... Great video as always Tim! Definitely the best truck show you've so far if you ask me. About the keys, glad you have them back but maybe for safety measures you should bring your spare keys just so you can lock the truck from the outside and leave the ignition running with the lights on or just the power on. I used that trick a lot when I wanted to keep a car running yet be able to lock it anyway.
I guess the person who stole your keys was doing you a favour and saving your battery but its still not good having to get either Shaun or Scania out to winch or a new ignition I hope you succeed in your work on the 4 series and the R series interior ! wish you all for the best

Tim buy a tile key ring put it in your keys you can use your phone to find your keys it will play a tune and you can detect where they are also press your key ring and your phone rings if you have lost your phone also you can see where your keys and phone are on a gps map very handy gadget !

Could fit something like run lock to your wagon to prevent it mate alot of the breakdown boys have it so they can leave they're vans running road side but can take the keys out and lock it etc
@onderweg-met-johan is the greatest! It is in dutch but definitely recommend it to the dutch viewers, he is like you in the dataschredder days and has a very interesting job dropping pallets with bricks or bags of sand to small building sites in sometimes tight locations. Also drives a super nice truck!
Great video Tim, in the case of losing your keys I think you need to get a tracker keyring and/or lock box in your cab (to store them) so as to have peace of mind that you shouldn't lose them or have them stolen and maybe some cctv cameras to keep an eye of the inside of the truck

Put a camera inside the cab so if people enter and do steal something, you can find out who. And maybe put an AirTag on your keys

The Dutch word for truck is 'vrachtwagen'. It is a combination of 2 words: vracht and wagen. Vracht = freight and wagen = car/vehicle.
