I grew up there, I noticed a few things being built since I left a few years ago, it’s nice to show this to ppl this now that I’ve escaped there 😂 great video
Grew up there remember flood of 72. Lived in southport. Before everything went to crap. Many good memories . Good people. Now 62 years old live in south for past 40 plus years.
Brings back memories. Never lived there myself, but my grandparents did. My grandfather was the rector at Trinity Episcopal Church (01:13), until he retired in 1975. They are both buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. Still have family in the area.
Elmira could be and once was a beautiful city that has unlimited potential but its sunk so low it's crazy I grew up there it is still declining could be 9ne of the best city's in the country really so many industries
Lol well I hope whoever buys that house knows what they are about to get into or they will be selling it or digging a even bigger money pit than they were in when they bought it.
Yo! My old stomping grounds in the 80s. Born in the elevator in st. Joe's hospital and left with a courtesy of an all paid vacation on the Hill , right after graduating southside. Judge Castelino
Yes there were a couple cool buildings, but what is there to do and shop in Elmira? I'm going to be moving there for a while so I desperately need to know where the action is🤔🤔🤦♀️
@@bellalex684 A lot of the houses have water damage from a flood. A shame..the houses are vintage, Victorian with incredible detail...just beautiful. But empty. My sister used to live there.
It would be nice if you could show Elmira in the spring and not have not ignored the new development happening downtown right now. Even as you were there.
I'm not very familiar with Elmira was just passing through the area and decided to turn my camera on but as a fellow New Yorker I am always thrilled to hear about any forward motion and development in NYS!
Im from commifornia but Hellmira isn't that bad. Purchased a small property near Eldridge Park and the fam loves it when we stay. We'll be back next spring 🤝🏼

Until one black man tries to visit and the locals all move to Idaho the next day.
Haven’t been to Elmira since I left for the Army. Brings back so many memories
Nothing changed lmao

I thought they said this place was a dump. that’s why the houses are so cheap
It's probably a college town. About the only towns that survived the eighties and deindustrialization.
