Nice intro to uvs and mtlx. I did similar previous and shortly after h20 introduced hex tiling which i guess will be useful for those who dont want to roll their own.
That is really cool, however, does it work if You have displacements? I mean sudden changes in texture makes sudden changes in displacement and i could not find a way to blur it. Do You happen to have any solution in mind for that? Thanks!

You can use a very high frequency noise to add a blur. I'll make a short video and upload soon.
